Cape Town is a port city on South Africa’s southwest coast, on a peninsula beneath the imposing Table Mountain. Slowly rotating cable cars climb to the mountain’s flat top, from which there are sweeping views of the city, the busy harbor and boats heading for Robben Island, the notorious prison that once held Nelson Mandela, which is now a living museum.

Place is beautiful. That area on the video at 8 min. with all the colorful houses does looks a lot like some areas in San Francisco like on Sunset District, Lombard street etc. believe or not build in the same type of terrain and weather. Cape town looks a lot like San Francisco USA.

I was a helicopter mechanic for 21 years and have flown in them all those years but never voluntarily fly in another one.

Experiences are good but folks be careful of these helicopters. They do not have as rigorous maintenance routines as commercial planes and are accident prone. In the past couple years Kobe Bryant died, a prominent Zimbabwean politician Roy Bennett died on a trip in Las Vegas, a Nigerian Bank CEO died on his way to the superbowl in Las Vegas from California, the President of Iran died a month ago and last week the Vice President of Malawi just died. And they died with many others. I have gone on test flights on big planes but I am just not ok with hopping on helicopters, the safety records are not too impressive. Glad you enjoyed though but a warning for others to fully be aware of helicopters.

I have videos on my phone of the road in Camps Bay with the apartment buildings where the parking is on the roofs and the apasrtments are below, going to the beach below. I was there in 2918.

South African weather is influenced by two currents. The warm Mozambique current and the cold benguela current. The warm current comes from Indian Ocean and cold current is from Atlantic Ocean. The warm current makes Cities like Durban to be warmer, even in winter. South Africa is cold in winter because we are closer to Antarctica. From time to time in Autom and winter, we are hit by cold front which sometimes create snow in other areas.
