If you’re going to plug it into the headphones jack of your mixer, you may as well just buy a headphone extension cable and a 1/4” adapter. It’ll save you $80+ on buying the P1.
Thanks Jason. You answered more in 5 minutes than I had found on other sales sites- mainly (and maybe obvious to some but not me) that this set up is wired all the way through, so you'll still have to watch/walk over wires. Im looking for an inexpensive wireless set up for home guitar use and landed on these. Many of the sales pages assume that you know that its wired or wireless and don't designate but, for all I knew, maybe it had a companion wireless unit that I just hadn't found yet. You answered that right off. Thanks! Back to researching IEM that won't kill my bank account- or me (my wife understands my hobby but...as anyone knows, guitar can get expensive!) .
You have plugged a mono source into the unit, but not mentioned the mono/stereo button or the function of the blend control.. Also you put the jack plug into the headphone out socket, and said to set the sux control at about halfway, when the aux control has no impact upon the headphone output, only on the aux send.
So if I run an XLR out of my guitar processor to one input, and then run an XLR cable from the AUX out on the mixer (containing the band mix plus my guitar channel muted) back to the other input.....do both inputs get blended at center with panning at center? Also, if you start panning one way or the other, does it affect the balance at all, or just it just blend in more/less of my processor line for example? Basically I want everything centered between my ears but hoping to just bleed in different percentage if that makes sense. I don't want my guitar on the left and band on the right kinda thing stereo speaking. Thanks for clarifying.
I have the Laney A1 Plus acoustic amp that has an XLR-DI output. Can I connect that amp output to the Behringer P1 for personal feedback? This is apart from the sound that the amplifier's speaker emits itself.
Thanks Jason! I busk a lot and I'm all batter powered. I have a Fishman battery powered Amp. Can I just use the direct line out of the amp to the Behringer or MUST I go through a mixer first just to get a signal?
@@JasonsAcousticWorkshop I apologize if you have answered this before. There is an existing monitor on stage. Provided that I am good with the mix, would it work out if I plugged into the line out of that monitor into the P1. I really don't like on stage monitors and prefer it go into the in ears I have. I guess I will find out Saturday if this works or not. Curious if you ran into this option before?
For the mic stand attachment, how do you remove the 3/8" thread adapter in order to access the 5/8" hole? I tried a tool to unscrew it but it won't budge!
So how do you incorporate that setup into a band situation? I’d like to plug into the bands mixer where all the mics/ drums/ gtr/ keys are and be able to mix all that in my own ears. Thx for the vid
If the whole band has them, then there is a separate box that can control each individual piece. But if your just going through the mixer, then basically you can not really control the volume. It's just the main or monitor you can control but not each individual volume. Sorry
You would need a mixing console with as many aux sends (monitor outputs) as you have band members and run an xlr (or balanced trs) from each send to one of these P1's. Then you could mix the monitors using the aux send controls of each channel you want to monitor. The latest digital mixers can even be controlled with monitor mixing apps so the band members can remotely change their mix. If you wanted stereo monitors for each band member you would need 2 aux sends per person.
Yeah I’m so confused I am playing guitar at my church it’s a small church but it’s hard to play sometimes cause I can’t hear myself with the drummer and everyone I need something we’re my guitar can play on my amp and I can use in ears to play
@@JasonsAcousticWorkshop Thanks. One more question: I assume the mix you get is what you create on the board. But is there any way you can, for example, turn your vocals higher only for your headphones?
@@JasonsAcousticWorkshop works fine out of the monitor on stage. The others like it because they have an extra monitor on stage for themselves, and I don't have all that extra noise messing with my ambient drum noise from the on stage monitor mix. The mix is right in my ear and is less disrupting. Love it 100% Just found that out at our show last night. I mean I always preferred in ears. I just never ran it out of the monitor aux out line.

Right on!
Hello there. If I plug this in my Direct Out from my AMP… will I hear it in stereo in my headset? God bless, thank you!
You should be able to. If not, plug it into auxiliary out
I have the Laney A1 Plus acoustic amp that has an XLR-DI output. Can I connect that amp output to the Behringer P1 for personal feedback?
This is apart from the sound that the amplifier's speaker emits itself.
Yes you can, just plug it into one of the tracks, then adjust the volume accordingly.
what about if you have to provide in ear to 6 musicians where do you take 6 aux outputs?
Thanks you help me a lot
Happy to help
In order to get my own personal mix, can I go into a channel line in with the P1?
If you have Monitor/Aux outs, plug into one of those. Then you can mix your band to your liking and hear it through your buds or phones.
Thanks Jason! I busk a lot and I'm all batter powered. I have a Fishman battery powered Amp. Can I just use the direct line out of the amp to the Behringer or MUST I go through a mixer first just to get a signal?
I'm almost 100 percent sure you can use the line out. As long as there is a signal going out, it should work.

Is it the same when you connected it in a amplifier?
What if I have a audio snake where do I plug the quarter ?
Does your audio snake have an aux out? If it does, plug it in there

Thanks Jason. Are you able to hear from both sides even if you only connect using the adapter to the L connection?
Yes, left is mono

How to use in guitar
where does the guitar/amp come into play
The amp runs XLR or 1/4 out to the mixer input.

How does the sound compare to wireless systems?
Not the best, but it's a clear clean sound. I'm sure it would depend on the quality of headset your use also.

@@JasonsAcousticWorkshop Thx--bought it anyway
@@quarter_moon_and_a_guitar If there is a free Monitor/Aux output you can definitely plug into it and mix the Inputs however you like.
what stand do you use?
It will screw onto a mic stand, that's what i use
Do you have to have a mixer?
You need an aux out to use it. It was actually made for mixers but I'm sure you probably could use it if it has an aux out
