Well done. I continue to watch you and learn about both Prime and Peterbuilt. I'm a company hazmat tanker driver in a Freightliner and I'm curious about Peterbuilt's. We'll see.
They break down at prime a lot because they’re not specced and programmed to actually run, they’re built for strictly fuel economy. Trucks specced in that manner are gonna have the most issues.
They’re not able to perform in the way they were intended which is why a lot of the engines need inframes and rebuilds so early in their lifespans. I would never buy a mega fleet truck.
What up Jasmine, I’m the dude that had the yellow Pete that was tanker. Got to talk to you a few times at the terminal. I left prime at the beginning of August and got a local job in fuel hauling back home 🚛⛽️🔥 I’m glad you doing well though and I hope you continue to elevate your trucking career. Yeah the 12 speed Endurant they spec their Peterbilts with is known for having issues communicating with the engine. The 13 speed is said to be better, I don’t know what the fix was if there was one for the 12 speed.
Truck probably needed a hard reset. Turn off, take key out ignition, turn off battery switch. Drain air lines. Wait 20 min, and then turn battery switch back on and start it up and should reset all sensors. At least thats how it is on freightliners
You will never be able to move your truck unless you can hold air pressure. If your air tank is empty .. you aren't going anywhere. If you see zero air pressure ... your engine cannot overcome the brakes. Don't burn up a torque converter trying to get the truck to move.

It's very well put. I've had some of my PSD students ask me, should I go company, or lease, what do I think would make more money? I tell them in all honesty, I would look into taking a success leasing class, and get all the information you can from that. I've been on the company side, since coming here, back in 2020. I would tell them I couldn't give you a straight forward answer to that question. I've had weeks where I've made decent money as a company driver, and other weeks, not so much. I always tell them, if you choose lease, or o/o, you better have a strong business mindset. Some lease ops I've talked with, say they do pretty good. Others have told me, they barely get by. What works for one person, may not work for the next. I also tell them to have good communication with your fleet manager, and anyone else you have on your team. Always let your team know of any situations that arise. You may be out here driving solo after your training, but you'll always have a team that has your back.
I had the same problem with my 2023 peterbilt truck a month ago and it was the gear selector system not reading the selected gear, I had to get it towed to the shop and have them fix the problem

Hey Jasmine. As I said in an earlier post. Your attitude determines your altitude. A positive attitude makes you climb higher and a negative attitude brings you down. Don’t listen to negative criticism because most of it stems from jealousy. However, know when to listen to positive criticism because it can keep you grounded. Criticism is positive when it is genuine and giving in a respectful manner. May God continue blessing you in life and in business.
Thanks for the video. Just wanted to let you know this: That crap Prime tried to pull about you deadheading 600+ miles is the SAME trash Schneider used to try to pull on me back in the early 2000's. Shneider wanted me to deadhead 500+ miles to get a load. I'm thinking, "These people must think I'm a fool. This is Schneider-they got available loads AT LEAST every 60 miles no matter where I am (at least back then they did- trucking was hopping! 👍) and they want me to deadhead 500+ miles, are you kidding me??? 😠 I'll play their game and give them 225, but that's it, I got something for 'em." So after about 160 miles, I called dispatch and told them I ate something, I was throwing up and was feeling sick. 🤢 I said I was going to need a few hours to hopefully feel better so I could continue on to pick up that load (500 miles away - yea, right). So about 1hour 15 min. later dispatch called me on the phone to see how I was, that she had a load that was near me that would be a short drop that she would give me if I felt better. 🧐 I said, "What's the pickup time and exactly where is it?" I wanted to make sure she wasn't pulling no trick- (you can't con a con! 🤪) So she actually told me the details right over the phone. (in my still kinda sickly voice) I said "Yea I think I might just be able to make that one since I won't have to go to far to drop it, but I'm still a bit queasy (I said that because I wanted to make sure they wouldn't try to hit me with continuing on that other crap load once I finished the short one.) lol Actually I could tell she was kinda laughing - 'cause I think she knew what was up' and just said "Ok, I'll send you the details (to the computer). That load was exactly 7 miles away from where I had stopped and it went exactly 15 miles!!! And that other load? SOMEBODY picked it up, but nonono, it sure wasn't ME!! 😸Yea Slimepack, all companies got the SAAAAME TRICKS and I see they still trying to pull 'em!
You have a great attitude and work ethic. No job situation is perfect and the successful employees know that a job is just a means to an end and roll with the punches. Sounds like you have a plan and right now Prime is a way of achieving that plan and nothing more. Never marry a job. Trust and believe that level of loyalty is one sided and is not worth it.
I suspect that the reason for the space loads is the economy. People just can't afford to spend like they used to so stores don't need the inventory. I noticed that some of your loads are small but are still needed.
You will have issues with any company no matter what type of company it is , truckers will always be needed to haul all kinds of freight to stores and other places in the country, without truck drivers this country will will stop moving, we all have things we need every day, we need food and drinks as well as other things to survive in this world, if you feel at home with a company then stay with that company and push through the good times and bad times and everything will work out

Try Robbie D Wood. A little strict but nothing too crazy. $76k in 2.5 - 3 months doing no more than 2k miles per week. Low end 1 long load a week you can gross $5 - $7k a week
Sometimes, the computer just puts you on something that doesn't make sense. I bobtailed from Houston to Searcy Arkansas. I got paid by the mile then, so I didn't care. I always called if it didn't suit me.
the reason they will give you some other load first is drop and hooks and higher paying loads they will give those to there trucks first as it cost them less and they make more money off of them so refusing a load is not a bad thing and should be done sometimes cause they almost always have something better they are trying to save for there trucks first
Prime is trash I don’t understand why people keep working for these corporate companies when they’re a ton of companies out there way better that actually respect and pay the drivers what they deserve. I never worked for them but I know better not to even try it. And That lease program is a trap, it only works in favor of the company, you are literally paying for that company truck payments debts. Your best bet is to save enough and buy your own truck.
@@truckingon5049 the funny thing is you think that truck is going to be yours, if is not a lease to purchase then is definitely stupid, because you’re just renting a truck with high weekly payments without never owning the thing. And believe me if I wasn’t “built for this” I would have been give up trucking a long time ago, I’m a hard runner boy. If this was my only choice to get a truck even if I wanted to get to it and make it work, you’re at the mercy of the company now so they can make or break you in never owning that truck. So like I said the best thing to do, is save for a big deposit to get that truck and truly become independent. I will be purchasing a truck in a year or two and not through these companies with their weekly high payments. That’s absurd. Work smarter no harder. But hey good luck.
I was a lease operator at a car haul company. Bought my truck a year out before the lease was up. I got my grind on and kept 10 toes down. Different strokes for different folks. I have that truck right now hauling cars signed on to a different company.
Prime is into selling trucks. I had a buddy who had two lawyers at the table when he signed his lease purchase ! Big red flag ! Prime is like a band of locusts who jump on unknowing drivers. Go somewhere else and lease ! Lease a new Freightliner ! Don't need a Peterbil/Cadillac to make money. Freightliner/Volvo two best trucks on the road i.m.o.
@@LamarA-bq1zz same here..leasing worked for me!!!! I got an sfi lease truck and paid it off in 11months. It was a 2019 freightliner with 300,000 miles.. and im still running that truck today with 605,000 miles on it
My concern for you is that lease contract. If you leave Prime, it will be very costly. I think Prime keeps giving lease drivers junk loads so they make just enough, or less, to meet their lease payment. In other words, they keep you (for lack of a better word) enslaved to the company where you'll never get ahead or make enough to buy out your contract. Also, as soon as your truck is paid off, the trunk is too old to trade up and you're forced to go with another contract on another new tractor and start over. See the vicious cycle?
KW stay having that problem. It's a transmission fault code.... I had two KW 2020 & 2023 and both of them had that problem. Also they don't hold the air pressure when at the dock

A lease operator is NOT an owner operator. Why is this so hard for people to understand?
Continue being you sweetheart, many people are true complainers, that don't have other options!!!❤😊
She doesn't drink cool laid.lol.yall heard that, right.
Great recap & congrats 👏🏿. That cut in abt ppl want negative talk abt a subject was 💯. Stay classy & the world 🌎 is yours.
I suspect that the reason for the space loads is the economy. People just can't afford to spend like they used to so stores don't need the inventory. I noticed that some of your loads are small but are still needed.
Love watching you, keep being positive and a good rowel model.
J, don't justify anything. Be who you are. Enjoy the videos. Look forward to the next.
You will have issues with any company no matter what type of company it is , truckers will always be needed to haul all kinds of freight to stores and other places in the country, without truck drivers this country will will stop moving, we all have things we need every day, we need food and drinks as well as other things to survive in this world, if you feel at home with a company then stay with that company and push through the good times and bad times and everything will work out
AMEN Ms Slimepack! Serve up that Humble Pie! Folks love complaining, but never compliment. Continue to Shine, Have your Own voice, be your own advocate! Continued Blessings, Safe Travels #GirlPower 🙏❤️
Hey Jasmine ur a motivation as I said on the last video THANK YOU FOR YOUR AMAZING WORK AND FOR THE BEST OR ONE OF THE BEST TRUCKING VLOG IN THE ENTIRE WORLD

I had a 2023 t680 that did this. Reported it truck went to dealer. They couldn't figure it out. Until I found out just turn it off and turn back on again and it'll work fine again till it does it again repeat the process
Big up girl do what you got to do
The most important thing is that you are happy. One year review well you have two more years of truck payments or there about? Two more years of truck payments or there about? Safe travels ahead in the coming year.
Hey Jasmine
I’m not a truck driver but if
You made $76000 clear after deductions and expenses that to me is great. Even if it was $50k after expenses and deductions. to me that’s really good.
Your self proclaimed number 1
fan!
Hey, No “I stated the truck made that”
That’s before expenses.
@@Slimepack392
Sorry my mistake but I think that is still good money
@Shayne61 No you’re perfectly fine. I didn’t elaborate on that subject because im making a separate video. Thanks for watching 💚
@@Slimepack392come on down to South Carolina, and work for ARD. We would love to have ya.
Transmission fault. All you had to do was cycle the key to reset it by cutting it off and back on for bout 5-6 times. That issue happened to me in my kenworth

GLAD THAT YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH PRIME HAS BEEN WONDERFUL!!!..AND MY EXPERIENCE WITH YOU HAS BEEN WONDERFUL....ALL LADY TRUCKERS SHOULD TRY TO TAKE A PAGE OUT OF YOUR BOOK 📖 😀 😊 ❤❤...KEEP THEM VIDS COMING...
Love you Slimepack!
So you can’t pick your own loads at prime as an LP contractor?
Love your content! Please tell me where to find that shirt 🤗
Thank you! And I think it’s from SHEIN 😊
@@Slimepack392 you’re welcome. And thank you as well for the info.
sweet! good luck!
I always called if it didn't suit me.
the reason they will give you some other load first is drop and hooks and higher paying loads they will give those to there trucks first as it cost them less and they make more money off of them so refusing a load is not a bad thing and should be done sometimes cause they almost always have something better they are trying to save for there trucks first
I can’t believe it’s been a whole year. I remember you trying to get on the tanker division. Happy for you.😢😅😅
I love you; keep being you!!
Have you considered doing intermodal or flatbed or reefer is more better
Ive been with prime since 2021 and ive had my fill of the bs in the office
Inquiring minds want to know... what brand toilet 🚽 tissue? Is it Scott? or Delsie? 😮
It was a 2019 freightliner with 300,000 miles.. and im still running that truck today with 605,000 miles on it
It's always people why never work for prime
Peterbuilts aren't what they used to be.
Same thing with me and them cheap ass loads for $600-700, if I don't generate 4k and up I'm not getting profit, every week it's the same shit
Congratulations 🎈🎉🎊🚛
You deserve your blessings❤❤❤💯
My concern for you is that lease contract. If you leave Prime, it will be very costly. I think Prime keeps giving lease drivers junk loads so they make just enough, or less, to meet their lease payment. In other words, they keep you (for lack of a better word) enslaved to the company where you'll never get ahead or make enough to buy out your contract. Also, as soon as your truck is paid off, the trunk is too old to trade up and you're forced to go with another contract on another new tractor and start over. See the vicious cycle?
That OTR is sho nuff a rough life.
The “ I don’t recommend prime” got me 😂😂 but I feel ya tho I turnt my truck in not to long ago it was a process tho
Love you girl!
I optained my CDL though Prime in 2019. Prime is a great company...
Good video keep it up
Have you heard anything about Hirschbach trucking trying to or buying Prime?
Is it just somebody trying to start a rumour?
What company do you suggest I get my cdl and work for. I’m interested in getting my CDL but want to go through a school and work for the company
KW stay having that problem. It's a transmission fault code.... I had two KW 2020 & 2023 and both of them had that problem. Also they don't hold the air pressure when at the dock
What do you think about having someone drive for you?
You are a true truck driver can I have your autograph
Hang in there more experience the easy it gets
How did you come up with the name 'slimepack' 🤔 💭
Her car and previous videos.
😅And, when you check out Ms. Jasmine’s Channel’s thumbnail photo, you’ll see her leaning against her ✳️Lime Green✳️
Scatpack 392 !!😅
I love sweet tea too😊
When leasing with prime can you go home whenever you want?
Yes
@@Slimepack392 Two more questions I would love if you answer, How much miles average can you run and how much can a per person make weekly leasing?
Why aren't you running north to Canada
So, would the $76,000 the truck made in 4 months be gross, not net? What would your net be for 4 months of driving for prime? Just curious.
I’m sure 76k was net. But she never included the insurance gas ect…
