Many in this country never cared too much for politics or their policies, at best most would've regarded themselves as centralised or possibly moderately one way or the other. I'm British and lived in Switzerland between 2008 and 2016. I was an immigrant there and it saddens me that some people that moved there made no real effort to integrate. I worked for a company where the managers prided themselves on not learning French , the local language... disgraceful. I can imagine non Brit immigrants doing the same sticking to their bubble and not integrating
