I also watched Mr. Banks test these items and shows everything that they do on a dyne test. and you don't have to roll cole all the time, if any.
Great video, just got both and looking forward to installing! One question I have is, will the Derringer need to be uninstalled in order to pass inspection? I had a Pulsar LT on my '20 GMC 1500 and I had to take that off prior to inspection, so curious if this is the same deal. Thanks!!

Great video. You mentioned removing it before a dealer trip. Would all the wiring have to be removed or just the pedal monster and derringer
It’s all discretionary. The Banks comes with a warning sign to remove it so I’m assuming they are trying to pull any liability away from them. Like I mentioned dealers can make the ultimate decision if it will voids the warranty claim or not. Better to be safe than sorry and remove everything you can. Depending on the reason I’m bringing the vehicle to the dealer, would determine if I take it off or not.
What is the "cap" on the Derringer? It looks like it can couple multiple Derringers together? Never heard someone mentioning the round cap and what’s it’s designed to plug into?
Yes, I believe Banks offer’s a couple more things that can plug into the derringer module. Transmission brake is one of them and I would need to look on their website to see what else they offer.
I’m a little confused. I know all about throttle controllers and will be switching all my pedal commanders to the Banks and just use the app to change settings on the banks. Why do i want that Derringer thing up there-it seems like pretty basic info that most cars have especially cars that ppl would put the throttle control on, i keep hearing you say “tune” and in the comments “tune” but this isn’t a tuner really right? The throttle control just dies response but that derringer just seems to read what’s on your gauges or in your screens right? I own 3 Hellcat vehicles and my daughters Kia they have all those derringer readouts. Is there something I’m missing with everyone saying “tune” are you saying tune for the throttle control or is there some kind of tuning going on for something else?
@meatball6930 The derringer has 5 power levels that is a on demand “tune” the idash is separate for reading different PIDs and controlling the 5 settings on the derringer.. at the end I should have done a full reviews of each power setting on the derringer and pedal monster separately. The dealership I worked at our service manager was famous for voiding warranties. Any tuner hardwired in we’d take a picture and void warranty.
Sounds like a junk dealership. Mine doesn’t care what I do.
@@jasonkwasky53 it was a way to get customer pay instead of warranty. Difference is customers pay actual hours flagged while warranty pays flat rate that is usually less than actual flagged hours. Since techs work flat rate they like being paid actual hours they work so they’re more than happy to bring it to service managers attention.

The beautiful part is that warranties are offered by the manufacturer and not the dealership….
@@Sportsmanskitchen yes but dealership service centers can enter in the system you did certain things to your vehicle that void the warranty under their guidelines and the manufacturer will void your warranty. The service manager has more power in this than you think.
So this is all i need if i want an exhaust? Why did it seem like such a big deal to delete dpf and tune the truck?
This is definitely not a delete. This is just a tune that follows all of the federal emission laws. Check out Banks website for more info..
So can i buy a turbo back exhaust and run this tuner to avoid check engine lights etc?

Prices are all listed on Banks website I don’t know what the total was..
It’d be nice if you took that damn music off so we can actually hear the engine and not be distracted by it
