Why do you forecast for 9 years (2024-2032) instead of 10 years (2024-2033)? Doesn't that affect the DCF Price per Share? It still might be good because it's safer and gives a little more conservative results but would like to hear your reasoning.
I have a question. Im 18 and am investing like 85% into the s&p 500 and the rest into SCHD. For someone starting out like me, I don't see the worth in putting much into dividends since the returns are so abysmal. Do you agree or disagree that starting out with a higher yield strategy would pay off?
Dividend stocks have their place. Remember the last decade has been a bull market and in a raging bull market dividend paying stocks get blown out of the water. However there are times where dividend paying stocks are the way to go. Like for instance before you were born in 2000 there was a tech bubble crash then in 2008 a housing market crash and the stock market was bearish for over a decade just about. In that scenario dividend paying stocks that were stable were fantastic. Bull or bear markets don't last forever. However considering your age it may be best just to stick with growth index funds and maybe just invest into schd inside a Roth IRA to avoid any taxes from the dividend.
Personally prefer PEP, for me is the better business cause it is more diversified on the product line. Yes Coke is the superior soda brand and PEP will never get over them but they have more on soda and snacks and are expanding on that. Pep is also very save div stock and with better increases. They have their problems too, but I just see them as better perspective for the future.

The terminal value accounts for any years past the last year I project, so technically there isn’t much of an impact.

The way I see it, I might as well race to 100k and shift gears rather than let my money slowly but steadily grow over a longer period
