      Or, you’re reading the french original and the old french is so imbued with double entendres that you cannot go past the first page, so you watch it in English with the hopes that when you go back to reading the french, things will make more sense 😂

    I perform Tartuffe in 3 weeks at my college I’m playing as Monsieur Loyal and the setting isn’t in Orgons House it takes place outside in the garden

    Great interpretation. The only sad point. On RUclips you can watch Moliere, in English, Spanish or Italian, but barely in French. Thanks to foreigners to keep french alive...

    At first I was getting annoyed because I couldn’t understand it. I had to wear headphones to hear it correctly. It took me about ten minutes to realize what was going on and be able to follow along. I’m watching this rather than reading it in the textbook....AKA pages 31-87... NO THANKS!

      Dude I thought it was just me. I can't understand a damn thing that they're saying all I hear is a bunch of squealing. But I've seen so many comments about how great the performance is and how it's saved everybody from having to actually read it. Hope that the headphones thing actually helps because if not I'm screwed.

      Because Orgon is gullible and Tartuffe uses the guise of religion to convince Orgon that he is a good man
