POV: you have to read tartuffe but couldn't make it past the first page so you look up a staged production to watch instead. Now you're here.
Omg how did you know 😂😂😂
Or, you’re reading the french original and the old french is so imbued with double entendres that you cannot go past the first page, so you watch it in English with the hopes that when you go back to reading the french, things will make more sense 😂
That's exactly what I'm doing, then I just pause and write down direct quotes I'll need later
That’s so accurate lmaoo 😂
OMG YOU TOO???? Look at that!
This was hilarious! And much better than reading the script for my class tomorrow.
the costuming is stunning, I very much appreciate the performers as well.
Great production all up!
I love Stage Plays. ❤❤❤❤
Really saving me with my English class🙏🙏🙏
We’re doing this play in school and I’m playing Dorine! 😁
No way!! Me too!
I'm doing it with my class and I'm playing Dorine too! Any tips?
I did Tartuffe 2 years at my college I played as Monsieur Loyal
By far the best character. Just had to read this play for a class and she was the only interesting part.
Hope you did great!
This is to good! The actors! The set! The music!👏🏼
I did my audition for tartuffe last night and I’m in it I’m playing as Monsieur Loyal
The masterpiece of the comic scene!
This performance is phenomenal and hilarious!
This was amazing. Orgon and Elmire killed it. Plus Tartuffe was such a good antagonist.
Delightful performance of Moliere’s masterpiece - Bravo!
Well done! The Tony goes to the lady in the purple dress.
I have to read the play for class, so I came to watch it so I can better visualize it.
I didnt expect to be laughing so much from it. XD
Cordell Kelley I’m doing Tartuffe at the college I’m playing as Monsieur Loyal
I really enjoyed this play the decoration's were amazing and amazing actors.
Reading this was boringgg
Watching the play is the greatest experience of laughs ever!
Plays are always boring to read no matter the authors. Always fun to watch.
Molière is the best playwright of all times!!! He' s very very great!!!
after chekhov
Molière is the best!
Costumes are gorgeous and that is a nice set
Thanks for this! I'm studying the play and this really helps to get my head around it.
OMG Cléante!! Briliant
Arthur Portella I perform Tartuffe in 2 weeks at Victor Valley College
i had to read this for a scene in theatre but i switched schools before i could preform it so now im watching it lmaoo
It’s been two years since I performed in Tartuffe at my college
Brilliant!
Thank yoooou, I had already read this play so when I was assigned it again I kinda wanted to watch it and multitask to save time. Plus this was really good.
Amazing play!
I'm playing Orgon in a scene for my theatre class. I love French Farce!!!
Molier, Thank You for "Tartuffe"!
GREAT !!!!!!!!!! PASSED MY LIT QUIZ !!!
Guy at 0:20 looks like a husky version of lenoardo dicaprio.
Very good, Thank You!
Just heard the Egyptian version of it in Arabic. Moliere is a great universal playwright.
This was great!
Enchanting
awesome...great job
that's was an amazing play
I perform Tartuffe in 3 weeks at my college I’m playing as Monsieur Loyal and the setting isn’t in Orgons House it takes place outside in the garden
Howd it go?
Your director may have chosen to set it in the garden.
Tartuffe the spry wonder dog...
I was thinking that too 😂
Tartuffe Monologue: 42:19
Thx
Great interpretation. The only sad point. On RUclips you can watch Moliere, in English, Spanish or Italian, but barely in French. Thanks to foreigners to keep french alive...
At first I was getting annoyed because I couldn’t understand it. I had to wear headphones to hear it correctly. It took me about ten minutes to realize what was going on and be able to follow along. I’m watching this rather than reading it in the textbook....AKA pages 31-87... NO THANKS!
Dude I thought it was just me. I can't understand a damn thing that they're saying all I hear is a bunch of squealing. But I've seen so many comments about how great the performance is and how it's saved everybody from having to actually read it. Hope that the headphones thing actually helps because if not I'm screwed.
Ha, the bailiff forgot the letter of eviction. Other than that, not too bad.
Michael Pollock I’m playing as Monsieur Loyal at the college
Reid Vinson is so handsome HAHAHAHA
the imposter is sus!
Ella Francis looked hot.
dorine monologue: 7:50
Anybody can tell me Why does Tartuffe find it so easy to manipulate and exploit Orgon?
Because Orgon is gullible and Tartuffe uses the guise of religion to convince Orgon that he is a good man
Are the family members successful in encountering the schemes of tartuffe?
Is this the full play?
mariane monologue 59:11
i’m playing her currently in my schools production!
What stage is this.
I directed this at the Ruth Asawa School of the Arts in San Francisco
can someone tell me how they thought this play was funny? No shade, just doing an essay
where's the funny part
