I’m in the process of making a cup from this inspiration with my own twist on it! I can’t wait until it’s done to post pics! Thank you for this idea! Hoping for a cool men’s beach tumbler…
PLEASE HELP ME!!! I was soooo excited to do this wonderful tumbler!!! I got it done, used Tim Holts espresso for my wood grain. Turned out great!! Then I sprayed it with sealer and it turned green!!!😩 I am devastated!!! Is there ANYTHING that I can do? Thank you so very much for all of your awesome videos!!! They are my favorite!!! Thank you for all of your help!! Have a wonderfully blessed day!!!😊😊
Can you put another color over the expresso? I’ve heard the expresso does turn green at first then it goes back to a non green color. Did you seal your cup?
Happy Saturday❣️ Another Beautiful Design and the depth You were able to achieve with the black acrylic paint pen is GENIUS👏🏼👏🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 Love How it dried with slight ‘cracks’ in it and gave Your Woodgrain even more Depth and Beauty 💙 Perfect for Father’s Day Gifts🎁 and just another option for Men’s tumblers all the way around👏🏼👏🏼 Thanks Again Jessica 🥰Enjoy the rest of Your Weekend💕
You are so right that this would be great for a guy! It’s beautiful. I’m going to for sure try this technique. Thank you so much. You are so inspiring.
Jessica, this is stunning! I like your videos alot, but never comment. I just want you to know you are so appreciated!! I love how you learn and teach! You give pointers to help guide us. Your amazing
Ommmmmm, okay well this one is stunning just the way it is!!! Just put my moms name on it and send it my way!!!! I mean the wood grain and the blue give me all the vibes I love it ❤️❤️ I’m looking for a new design for my shop and this one is so easy I think it would be perfect ❤️❤️ thank you for the tutorial!!!
Amazing like always. Quick question, the cracking is it because of the paint? I spray painted a piece then added more paint and it cracked. Not sure why? Can you help by explaining? I am still new to this
I’m not sure why my inks cracked on this. Usually they don’t. I thought maybe because there was some solvent residue left from the paint removal process that reacted with the inks
Love this cup. I’ll have to give this a try! I just want to know if it’s ok to do my epoxy inside my home? I have been doing everything in my garage but we have moved to a house that’s close to the bay. The problem I’ve been having is when I do my epoxy and shortly after it starts drying I start seeing dimples all over my cup so I do my epoxy in my house. Didn’t know if that is a bad thing or not.
I’d you have to do it in your house you’ll want to get a VOC filtering air purifier, good ventilation (window with a fan) and try to keep it sealed off from the rest of the house. Long term exposure in your home isn’t healthy
@@FlynnSistersBoutique the reason I do it in my home is because when I do them in my garage it leaves dimples in the epoxy. I’m in south Texas and don’t know if it’s the humidity of something else!
Jessica, I love this one. And I want to add that in my opinion your videos are the best ones I have found that actually show the process, your verbiage is excellent and you have done enough homework to tell us the reasons why we should or should not do things a specific way. Your truly a professional and it shows. Thank you for all your hard work and presentation both in your work space and your always beautiful hair, make-up and clothes. It makes a difference. Love all you do, Theresa
Hello, I am new to your channel, just subscribed. I am kind of new about 4 months new at making tumblers. A question, you did the blue 1st, then sprayed it brown and white, couldn't you do the woodgrain next, then start the removal process and maybe only have to touch up the woodgrain at the end? Instead of having to be super cautious around the edges like that. If that is a stupid question I apologies. It looks awesome though.
Yes I can attest to that, do not do your woodgrain before! I did something similar with geode woodgrain with glitter showing through and tried doing the woodgrain before and it was a mess. I messed up my woodgrain and everything. Definitely do it after lol 😅
I loveee this cup! Thanks for posting. Can I ask about the cracking look? I’m not sure if I’m just seeing something or if there is a crackle looking effect going on in the wood grain?
Love this. Just wondering if the cracking happened after spraying the clear after you used the paint pen? It actually makes it look like bark in a way! Happy accident yay. Love your videos. Major inspiration
Yes! It did crack before the sealer and I’m not sure why 😓 I think there was some reaction from all the alcohol on the surface or my paint from the paint removal process but I’m not sure because it only happened on this one 😝
My friend Trista did one of these about a year ago. It was so awesome that I created one too several months ago but I used just inks on mine. They are beautiful!
So pretty. But I have question. Why did you spray with brown because all the edges where it showed were covered with the black paint pen. Just wondering about leaving that step off.
Yeah you could forgo that step but I didn’t want to rely on the marker and I was also hoping that I would have revealed more of the brown paint below in the paint removal process but I didn’t . You can do this anyway you want 😆
Turquoise and woodgrain just go so well together 😍😍 I love it! I've always wanted to tackle one of these river epoxy tables but they are extremely intimidating 😅
Love your tutorials!!! I look forward to Weds and Sat just to watch them. You’re my biggest inspiration and I can’t wait to try this tumbler. Would love to see a tutorial on the Indian striped looking tumbler, I think it’s called Serape’. Your so detailed with your instructions and what you use and the bonus information of knowing where you get the supplies to do it and coupon codes. Have a blessed day and looking forward to the next tutorial. ❤️😊🌻

I'm glad you like it. Thank you for watching Maureen
LOVE!! That mica powder is gorgeous. Beautiful design and I think your wood grain turned out perfect!! Love your designs and tips! 😍
thanks so much!
Love
Could you do the next step and apply the alcohol inks and then remove with acetone and 91% ?
No because the inks would stain the blue part when you’re removing them
Looks amazing!
So elegant as always.
This is GORGEOUS, you are so very creative!!
Thank you
Soooo cool!!! What did your husband think?
He liked it
That is so beautiful 😍
Could you have put the woodgrain o er the whole cup and then expose the river part or would that just make a mess?
I was wonder the same thing! 🤷♀️
I was thinking the same right before I read your comment lol
I was wondering the same thing, I think I’ll give it a try.
Love this!!! Do you have to epoxy after the mica powder layer dried? Meaning before you spray paint…
Yes
Another beautiful design by you.. Thanks so much for sharing your craft. I love it and love your tutorials.
Thanks so much 😊

I've been trying to wrap my head around how to do one of those tables as a cup for months. Thank you for the inspiration.
thank you :-)

Thank you so much for giving me such nice feedback! I’m so glad you enjoy the videos!
Can this quick coat be used as a final coat as well??
Yes as long as it’s a darker cup because it can yellow since it doesn’t have enhanced UV stabilizers
@@FlynnSistersBoutique Thank you!
I love love love love this!
Thank you Mary!
Where do you get your final sand paste
Wow, love this one. Thanks Jessica, my new favourite 💕
Thank you Vicki!
Absolutely beautiful ❤️, I'm trying this one ASAP!
Thank you! 😊
LOVE how this turned out and your tip of moving the epoxy around w/ the mica powder gave it such a pretty look!
Thank you so much!

The ink would stain the blue Wigan you’re removing it if you did it in that order
What causes the little cracks in the blacker areas?
I’m not sure 🤔 that kind of just happened. I think cuz my inks are old
wouldn't it be easier to do the brown paint, white paint, woodgrain THEN remove the paint with acetone?
The alcohol ink stains the epoxy even through the layers of spray paint so you definitely want to woodgrain after exposing your glitter.
It wasn’t intentional. I’m not sure why my inks did that so I couldn’t tell you how to recreate it. I think my inks were really old or something
Love this. Just wondering if the cracking happened after spraying the clear after you used the paint pen? It actually makes it look like bark in a way! Happy accident yay. Love your videos. Major inspiration
Did you spray seal your woodgrain before epoxy?
Yes
So pretty!!
I have been dying to try this! I'm so glad you made a video!! Thank you ❤️
Thank you for watching!
Genius idea adding black markings to woodgrain!
This turned out so cool! I love those tables too!
This is amazing! I love it so much!
Thank you so much!!
Fun technique. I don't think it needs a decal. Great job!! Enjoy your weekend!!
Thank you! You too!
Can’t wait to make this! Great tutorials, thank you!
Beautiful! Apologize if this was mentioned and I missed it, but on the darker areas it almost looks crackled. How did you achieve that?
Yes! It did crack before the sealer and I’m not sure why 😓 I think there was some reaction from all the alcohol on the surface or my paint from the paint removal process but I’m not sure because it only happened on this one 😝
To me it looks like the sealer did that.
I love that cracking and was hoping it was intentional so I could get that look! Will experiment.
❤❤
I've been trying to come up with something like this. Bummer! You made it so easy!
You can do it!
Wow - this is fine - wish I could see this in person
Thank you Joyce
