A brilliant artist. I hope the world realizes that she doesn't need to "prove" herself by winning tedious piano competitions. If you listen to her, It's plainly obvious that she has "proven" herself with her insight, beauty of tone and fabulous clarity. She makes such music!

She has an incredible sense of direction and understands conversational and emotional aspects of the piece as well as any world class Beethoven interpreter. It’s beautiful to hear. I’m excited to see her develop. She also has the invisible spark that makes her so exciting to watch and listen too.

I have heard Beethoven’s piano sonatas many times, but in this performance I discovered a new Beethoven.
That's right. I felt like I had never heard this piece before. Not really. I think Beethoven would just step aside and listen to her play.

Merveilleuse pianiste ! Par exemple, l'adagio de La Tempête... La mélodie se limite à un motif de trois notes. Le risque pour l'interprète est de perdre le fil du discours. Mais avec Alexandra, il se passe toujours quelque chose, et la musique avance avec une rare intensité. Sous ses doigts, des morceaux bien connus semblent neufs et plus beaux.

Beethoven was expressive genius on a level that still hasn't been matched. And she NAILED it again
At an early age Yuja Wang was advised not to play the Beethoven sonatas until she was 30 because a certain amount of lived experience is necessary to do so. Obviously no such admonition is needed for Alexandra Dovgan, who has maturity and musical insight well beyond her years.

Su música me acompaña todos los días, una maravilla de talento.
I noticed this girl few years back when I heard her play Mendelssohn Concerto. When she finished I said to myself, there is your new superstar. The way she played that concerto, she was knocking out many mature pianists silly. What a talent at that age. She was probably 12-13. But now she also matured musically and simply has unbelievable sound and volume control plays the touch is incomparable to anyone. Absolutely amazing talent. Yuja and Khatia so sorry, but this girl beat you both easily. And I’m saying is as a pro in this business. 🙏🙏

This performance is just wonderful. Alexandra Dovgan is an incredible prodigy, but as she is so young comparisons with other pianists must not be made yet. There are piano works which require age and maturity. I've read a comment about Martha Argerich. I believe Martha was 20 years old when she performed Chopin's piano Concertos. She is still considered (as she was at the beginning) a modern interpreter of Bach's music. Each artist is unique. Best wishes to Alexandra. Congratulations!
