Sad as an Indian fan though.

I was at the Chinnaswamy stadium way back in early Feb 2005 to witness this match. When the game started Pakistan was 10/2.. And at the end of play Day-1, they were at 322/2. But that day when I witnessed two legends Inzamam and Younis Khan at their best.. They played like champions and took the game away from India. Though it was painful to see India losing.. But I fell in love with the batting of both these legends. Mind you, it was Inzamam's birthday this very day and he scored 187*, whereas Younis continued his marathon the next day to his post his career best innings of 267.

Still remember this match, was playing cricket with my elder brother on rooftop while blasting tv on 100 volume downstairs in the room it was a small 1 story home and I could hear the loud appeal while batting on the roof. As soon as I heard the loud appeal for Balaji's wicket 13 year old me jumped into the courtyard (didn't even consider the stairs as it was shorter this way) and ran at full speed to watch the tv which was showing the Balaji's cap flying into the air. Could have been a great opening batsmen alongside imran Nazir but after a poor run he was demoted in the batting order !
