I don’t know if it was me… but from the very beginning that fish looked sick, disease filled and very low quality… I definitely would not have chosen that one. I mean it didn’t even put up a fight when it was grabbed with the net…
i believe u r right. that red snapper's fillet is really awful. .. very pale in colour and no fat at all. that's not worthy for sashimi grade red snapper.
unfortunately that fish's flesh quite odd. too white and no fat at all. that the terrible one for sashimi. best way to eat it just grilling it with some sauce.
Animal bodies can still move around for a while after death. Humans too. It's not the animal consciously moving (if you consider a fish conscious) it's just the nervous system firing involuntary. The fish is likely dead after getting hit in the head and it's _definitely_ dead after the spinal cord is severed. All that movement afterward is just spasms, not the animal suffering in pain.
