    My first thought is that event would be a good time to put the Drone in the air to look the area over. I feel that a drone flying over would be less of an impact on the new mother.

      They use this breed of dog to protect the fairy penguins on an island here off of the coast of Australia. Beforehand, wild dogs were killing them. Now, the Pyrenees goes every night to guard them. It was discovered by accident. One Pyrenees showed an instinctive need to protect the penguins, and it continues. Wonderful dogs.

    • @kimbersann08
      @kimbersann08 3 года назад +13

      I think when he says back off and stop that's just a natural human response to the situation. He knows the treats are the closest "back off" and "stop" as he can get. A distraction if you will. They respond to his temperament/tone and treats. So counter productive isn't an issue here.

      I saw that too. Making them wait usually works.Good idea to give some and make them wait. This time you had to move too fast to see the birth.This one didn't like that. Do you think you may have confused that one by your fast movements,thinking you might leave without getting enough? They usually get more time with you to be satified. Seems to want you to give some more by these sideward moves that aren't block you. I could be wrong. I think it would be safer though for you to have a binocular view of births from your phone. See from a greater distance. This may be good when they are farther away in protecting their young too. I ordered a few today. I would like to gift you with one when I receive them. I could send to store or maybe po box. I can try to call tee shirt # when They come in. See if U want 1 ❤ your videos get a little nervous though.

Imagine holding the baby, filming with camera and also driving right into calving season, rewarding the bull (that's making challenging behaviour at him, the vehicle and the little girl) with cubes. The bull is also young but he is learning how to push the man, steadily day by day growing stronger and you know, most entire male beasts, once they reach a certain age, they get real ornery, real bulls are towering giants. Older wiser cow hands trying to politely tell him stuff... I was amongst some lovely tall grass near beef cattle, small bunch of about a dozen. Was looking up at some circling eagles then I heard a strange sound only to look where it was coming from and realise they were stampeding straight at me. As one. I barely escaped, they filled where I'd been standing in seconds like an oncoming freight train and thundered straight over where I been seconds before. I'd made it to a big pile of wood and they boiled straight past me as one. It was a monstrous risk of my life but I'd been looking the other way, not paying attention. Something spooked the beasts and they took it was me. Could not have stopped them going at me, they were already well spooked

Brooks and her cuteness factor are just a "given!!"❤ I know Dunbar is what he is, but the fact that he will "dance" like that & eat out of your hand (& try to lick Brooks) just makes it seem to me that other than truly stressful times for your bison, they trust you & have gotten used to the routines of your ranch. I know they can be unpredictable, but to see Dunbar in particular act like he did with you and Brooks warms my heart too. It's almost like a huge overgrown dog dancin' for his treats!!
