Nice. I love that it has the horizontal e unit instead of the lever sticking through the top. I’m going to need to get one like that. You did give me an idea for a project though, I need to service my 681 and I wonder if I can mount the e unit like this one. Obviously I wouldn’t be able to get to the lever but I’m ok with that.
Thanks for watching. I learned some things on that one. To make the E-Unit function or not function, it's just a matter of grounding one wire. Is there a place to put a jumper or switch?
I mark the top of the bearings with sharpie to get them back in oriented correctly. I also use the red n tacky grease, love that smell. Have fun running that turbine.
Thanks for watching. I'm always learning something new. If you have any questions, send an email or comment on the video. I Love the Lionel post-war stuff.

@@dbtech7914 probably could add a switch but I don’t know that I’d use it.
@@dagryffynhobbyI see you got one. I bought one last year. Finally getting too looking at it to get it fixed up.

All you have to do is buy a plastic bottle with a smaller applicator! Then, putting on to much oil fixed? 😊
I have one somewhere. The extra oil runs off when I run the train.
Way too much grease !
Apparently it was. I wanted to make sure I got it in there. I had to wipe off the excess.
