This is what more drum covers need! Originality! You're actually making the song yours instead of mimicking every little thing!
Thanks! Really appreciate that. Mimicry is great for learning but it's more positive to put something a little different out into the world :)
Thanks for the kind words everyone! I really appreciate it all. I play in the band That One Eyed Kid as well as Ben Levin Group. Recently I've started playing with a group called Ben Levin Group.
Also, I will be releasing a brand new video titled Nitro on Thursday. Stay tuned and be well!
Awesome stuff!!!!
Thanks!
Flawless

Was just going through some old tracks in my like while playing drums and this one came up. Had to see if someone had done a cover. Lucky you, this one came up first! Great cover!
Thanks a bunch! Glad you enjoyed it.
This is badass!
Thanks man!
Best cover of Lasso, good job man
Sweet snare sound!
It was awesome Kyle! I saw the video of the song a lot of time, at Letterman Show, just for the drum performance. And your performance was great! Thanks, but I am in Brazil.
Damn dude nice
holy duck, great work! it looks like so much fun playing it lol
Great cover. Congratz!
Este man es un crack !! Felicitaciones que bien cover.
Great men !!!! you rock very very hard !!! greetings from mexico !!!
Gracias Matias! I have family that lives in San Miguel. Great to hear from you!
Nicely done 👏🏻
Dude this is badass! Learning the song now and that intro is a pain. Eyes keep gettin crossed up when everything starts moving haha
+mooseknuckl3 Yeah it's tricky. It took me a while to get when I first started transcribing it. It's two percussion takes so the polyrhythm is tricky when you're solo. Get comfortable with the 16th note triplet - sweep down the toms RH then the LH on the Hi-hat. Once you have that map out moving back and forth between the established hi-hat part and the back beats on 2 and 4. Then layer in the bass drum quarter notes before even attempting to play it to the song. Write it all out on a piece of paper or a whiteboard too. That really helps. Good luck!
Great cover!
Insanely good cover
Thank you!
Love it....
This is awesome!
Thanks man! I'm glad you dig it.
EPIC!
2020 and still...
Glad you dig it! Haven't put out a cover in a while. Mostly working on my original music but I appreciate the support and enthusiasm
@@KyleHarrismusic awesome cover! Looking forward to hearing your music! Keep it up!
The intro drum solo is so hard to coordinate. It’s my favourite part of the song as I’m a drummer, I’m one of those attention cravers which means that I love it when it’s just me crashing it up on the drums. Incredible drumming.
buen cover!
Fucking awesome
I think that I'm in love with you... IT WAS AMAZING, In fact I'm trying to play this song... and, You played it VERY good, very clear and clean. BOY I'M IN LOVE WITH YOU
Those toms are so tasty
Thanks!
Made with extra spice!
Phoenix drummer improved it in live session
Dope as fuck.
Could you make a tutorial of this song?
Your drums sound amazing...what heads did/do you you have on your drums?
the drummer do the hihat-hitom-lowtom with only one hand right?
need to watch it in slow motion...
Are you in a band? :D
Hey what snare roll is that during the chorus?
Jae Ogletree just your good old fashioned para diddle-diddle :)
Cool, I barely started learning to play about a month ago. Do you have any suggestions or tips for a self taught drummer?
Definitely listen to a lot of music and try to re-create what you hear! Mimicry is your best tool starting out and trying to self teach. But if you want to develop control, more vocabulary and flexibility on the instrument start researching technique, sticking patterns, rudiments, basic grooves and fills, and general rhythm. I also can't stress the importance as a beginner of finding a good teacher. The benefit of a teacher is not just showing you new information but building strategies and processes to internalize and learn the information for yourself. It's guidance through the process of learning more than anything else. Hope that helps and if you have any more questions feel free to email me at kyleharrisdrums@gmail.com
Cool! Well thank you so much, dude!
What snare is it?
It's a Tama Rockstar. Glad you like the video! Keep drumming.
