What a rough year it’s been! Now that conditions are worsening, I’ve decided to make compilations based on the current footage I have from this year to 2019. Here we’ll see a lot of trains around NSW moving quick through stations, we’ll start slow with some trains close to the city going at about 80kph, then we move further away from Central to find trains moving at 100-115kph, the fastest you could around NSW. Keep a look out for heritage such as the C Sets, 3801 and 5917! All footage was filmed long before NSW July COVID-19 lockdowns and the latest footage dating back to 12th June 2021.
You look at overseas videos and compare the speeds with theirs and our trains it’s embarrassing that our trains are so slow by comparison. No point building trains with 130kmh speed capacity when it’s never used!
@@GMAH1959 They are used up to 160kph but only on some sections of the Main North and Main Western Lines, but yes I reckon we could do better to bring the speeds back up again!
I can’t really say what I’m comparing Sydney trains to, but I do understand that Sydney trains have really windy tracks and is very difficult for them to go any faster than 100km/h. I am from Brisbane and they have the airport line that goes over 130 to 140km/h and the route that goes to Rockhampton and cairns that goes over 160km/h.
@@neddymcneddy1738 yeah it’s true that we’re very limited here in NSW, that’s why I’m hoping for any sort of high speed connection between the majors cities sometime in this century at least!
My two-year-old boy is absolutely obsessed with your videos. We live down the road from Meadowbank station and he loves the trains.
When I was in school I caught the train from Meadowbank station, the express trains go so fast through there!
I'm not sure if you are aware of the link between a love of trains and autism.
Thankfully autism doesn't have the sigma that it once had.
@@notsureyou Thanks doctor. Any other nuggets of wisdom to share? 🤔
@@notsureyouMany of my friends aren't retarded and like trains

Calling NSW Trains “fast”? Good vid tho 😄.
I’m not a Sydney rail hater, But I’m sorry they just aren’t that fast

@@JenperTV yes, I heard that Newcastle to Sydney via high speed trains might be a thing that we are working on. 🧐
@@neddymcneddy1738 the only time we will prob get a high speed rail network is when the metro is finished
