Sure, it'll clear out the heat exchanger, but it will also destroy any aluminum parts (and gaskets) in your engine. Yanmar don't recommend doing this for a reason.
Thank you for your information, I did not research Yanmar, I just know it was great for my perkins, still running cool. Sorry I have no input what to use on Yanmar. I hope you find a solution that works for your situation.
