    Shoutout to this video, as it's the only clear visual of the retaining pin on the headlight assembly that I was able to find anywhere online. Mine jumped out, and I was trying to figure out the mechanism without being able to see it and taking my headlight entirely out. Props!

    Great video, two points: When pulling it out the plastic part under the fender has a tab that can be finicky to get loose, I used a flat head screwdriver to keep it wedged open. When putting it back together, do the front under bolt first, it can be hard to get right when everything else is secured.

    Excellent, thorough video. Enabled me to replace the headlights on my son's Fit without major torments. I agree that OEM parts are not necessary. The $233 pair I got from Amazon fit perfectly and work perfectly. I installed all bolts except the blind upward facing bolt first. This seemed to position things so that the installation of the blind bolt was uneventful.

    You don’t need to cut down the black headlight gasket tight sealer. All you need to do is loosen the brackets from the led headlight itself and put the bracket first from the led headlight, put the black gasket 2nd and then the led light bulb 3rd and make sure you push it tightly and securely. That should do the trick. Nor need to cut the black gasket and make it worse.

    • @IvanRossS
      @IvanRossS  4 года назад +2

      Was no point showing difference because headlight bulbs was changed too. Main reason i changed headlamps because it was opened from the inside for a while and it was a lot of dirt and moisture inside out the window that was impossible to clean..
      Your headlamps just can be buffed out if they're just foggy and you can replace bulbs to LED and I can guarantee you it will improve visibility tremendously. Damage on your headlamp probably just from the sun it that can be easily repaired. It will never going to look as good as brand new headlamp but definitely much better. Even Walmart resurface headlights for like $50

      When I replaced my regular bulbs with LED bulbs, I lost the beam. It was bright, but more like a flood light. No beam. Not sure which is better. I need to change the entire assembly now, so thanks for showing how we can do it without removing the entire bumper. The auto shop charges over $300 for the labor, not including the assembly itself.

    Hi...my plastic headlight lens appears to have some moisture or water stains on the inside of the lens. Can just the plastic lens be removed or do you have to replace the entire headlight assembly? I see some clips that appear to hold the lens in place. Can I just pry the clips up and remove (and clean) the lens only? I started to try that but didn't want to break something! Thanks!

    • @IvanRossS
      @IvanRossS  5 лет назад

      It's way too much work I would just replace head lamp. Because that lens holds to the assembly body by special silicone glue and for you to take it apart you have to bake it in oven, It will soft that glue and will allow you to separate Lanes. then you can clean your lens put it back together but u have to reseal it with new glue... like it's really too much work. I would do something like this to original Mercedes or BMW headlights that cost $500 and more.

      Wow.... 15 min. Only 15 min. Well shit, I'm sorry I took whole 15 minutes of your life... how about next time you be the man, figure out yourself with out watching my 15 min video or take it to the shop and pay $ so you can save 15 min and your gentle hands... You shouldn't be wasting my time replying on this unless comments like that and need learn some respectful, and be appreciative for me putting this video together for your ass, that I spend way, way more then 15 min... Also I'm sorry that my goofy, 19 seconds, intro bothered you that much... your crying to a wrong person buddy. Call your mama first that.
