From our perspective, we hate the Marleians because we are taught too. I wonder what we would think if it was from the perspective of Marley.”
Season 1: There is no humans outside the walls and the Titans are the enemy. Season 2: There is no humans outside the wall and there are Titans among humans. Season 3: There's humanity outside the walls and the Titans are also humans. Season 4: There's humanity outside the walls and we're using Titans to destroy them.
The bird metaphor is one of the most beatiful analogies I've ever seen on so many layers. On the first layer: freedom, because who or what are more free than birds. On the second layer: Birds are the natural messengers of change and danger. When a natural disaster hits or is about to hit, the first creatures to escape are always birds. And on the third: Noah's ark; when God decided the cleanse the earth the only creatures capable of actually seeing the effects and duration of the flood were birds, and the first sign of the flood being over were birds coming back with a sprig. Just like at the end of the Rumbling, birds would've came back to Paradis. I love it. Maybe I overthink, but what's the meaning of art if it isn't what YOU see in it.

Very few songs will bring me to tears. First time I have actually payed attention to the lyrics since completely finishing AOT. Hits way harder knowing what is to come.
This song is so good and it's haunting. It feels like something a nation under seige and fighting back till the end would sing and that's the point. 10/10 nailed it.
This song really does well to capture the idea of human conflict, it feels like it's saying everything has led us to this boiling point, the lines have been drawn, violence is inevitable, and now it is time to abandon our humanity until a new world emerges from this struggle

I don't know why but those marching soldiers are so attracting that it is intriguing me even more than the song. I don't know why. It is like my brain is picking something unconsciously after watching them but I cannot understand them at conscious level.
In the opening for this season, this is my favorite part, I don't know why but maybe its because it's so mesmerizing and its pleasing to my eye. I was in marching band when I was a freshman (of high school, I'll be a senior this year) but maybe its because of that. Whenever I put on my uniform I felt like a soldier going off to war and showing off our strength to the people, the straight rows, the synchronized movements, and the same uniforms. Edit: maybe it's also because of the fact that they are going to war, thinking that they know who they are fighting but they really don't know who they are fighting.
Fun fact: most (if not) all songs on SnK are sang on two languages, foreshadowing the war between two countries. The first opening is sang in both japanese (main language) and german, foreshadowing how Eren tries to destroy the entire world just to save his own country (yes you know what im referring, eren is that person).
IMO the war backgrounds with the rainbow smoke represents Marley making war seem like a game of sorts to their citizens, the male voice occasionally heard in the background is Eren fighting against Marley and telling them that he will start the rumbling (that's the random chants like "children cling onto their last coins") and the voice saying "my" before they say "war" shows who is really in charge of this war... also I know it says destruction and regeneration, but you can't tell me it doesn't sound like "destruction for generations" and how that seems to be about how both Marley and Eldia caused "destruction for generations"

People don’t realize that Eren isn’t the villain here, he’s a victim of the Marleyans. The entire world wanted to end the Eldians, all Eren did was fight back (and if you’ve read part 2) turned the Eldian’s into the good guys. What he did was completely logical and I would even say the morally correct thing to do

I don't know why but those marching soldiers are so attracting that it is intriguing me even more than the song. I don't know why. It is like my brain is picking something unconsciously after watching them but I cannot understand them at conscious level.
In the opening for this season, this is my favorite part, I don't know why but maybe its because it's so mesmerizing and its pleasing to my eye. I was in marching band when I was a freshman (of high school, I'll be a senior this year) but maybe its because of that. Whenever I put on my uniform I felt like a soldier going off to war and showing off our strength to the people, the straight rows, the synchronized movements, and the same uniforms.
Edit: maybe it's also because of the fact that they are going to war, thinking that they know who they are fighting but they really don't know who they are fighting.

IMO the war backgrounds with the rainbow smoke represents Marley making war seem like a game of sorts to their citizens, the male voice occasionally heard in the background is Eren fighting against Marley and telling them that he will start the rumbling (that's the random chants like "children cling onto their last coins") and the voice saying "my" before they say "war" shows who is really in charge of this war... also I know it says destruction and regeneration, but you can't tell me it doesn't sound like "destruction for generations" and how that seems to be about how both Marley and Eldia caused "destruction for generations"

The entire world wanted to end the Eldians, all Eren did was fight back (and if you’ve read part 2) turned the Eldian’s into the good guys.
