Its funny when I was a kid my parents were looking for an RV at a dealership. I wandered around and checked out one of these new. Both have you have done a great job fixing the old gal up.
I'm 64 years old and I had a Compact Jr camper in 1971 that I used to pull with my 1971 Chevrolet Vega. It was a great little camper and I used to take it to the beach (national park) all summer. Fond memories. You guys did a great job on yours. I like the color much more than the original.
Great video and cool camper. One suggestion is when converting dining area to a bed, you might want to put the narrow/back cushions to the outside against the walls and the wider/seat cushions to the centre, it just might make the bed a bit more comfy. Thanks for sharing.
I am happy to see small campers in America. I live in Europe and things tend to be smaller here. Small things are sometimes better for the personal economy, higher mobility and lower maintenance costs.
Nice redo! Like that you kept the outside color. The items you put into this are great ideas for my cabover camper that I'm building from the ground up. Thanks!
Great Information. The Basecamp by Mr Heater is exactly what I need. I live in rural Alaska in a small cabin. I dont have plumbing yet. That appliance will definitely help me with washing dishes as well as taking showers. I can also use it in my vintage camper when I travel.. You did a great job on the camper.
@@TheOtherBill Thank You... I saw that when I was looking at the product on Amazon. I am just not too sure about having a propane tank inside the cabin.
One thing I've always loved about your channel is how special it feels. Even with your own remodel it feels like it is another tiny component of the heartbeat of what makes the tiny house movement so wonderful. I always look forward to your videos and Instagram posts. I'm hopeful that one day the county I live in will finally be open to tiny homes because through all of these journeys you've taken us on you've definitely opened my heart and mind up to the possibility. Thank you.
I adore your mixture of new and vintage! Great to watch people without the $100.000 rig attached to them! I too have a small Freedom caravan here in the U.K. Much more what camping is all about! Thanks for sharing! ❤️❤️❤️🌹🌹🌹🌹Pete
Oh how I love this cute little camper, you have done a beautiful job fixing him up, everything is laid out very well. Love the interior. I especially love the awnings, so colorful and fit him so perfect. Thanks for sharing amazing video, bye for now.
The sofa redone is great. I would do a slide out for the middle. Gaucho style would not be hard. Slates with ribbing that can be folded up. Ribbing top and bottom. Great job. We are fixing to make one like yours. Accept not fiberglass shell. Thank you for sharing. Like the pop up roof.
I love this camper, as I said when you first introduced it. With a more detailed tour, I love it even more! Would you be offended if I offered a few suggestions? The pistons (? I think that is what you called them?) are small for what you want to use them for. Having larger and sturdier ones will firm things up. If it is not 100%, do some cross braces, even some firring (furring?) strips in an X with bolts loose enough to allow for the raising and lowering of the top. You can place them in the far corners on each side of the end windows and even use lag bolts to tighten when it is up. But with some thinking, maybe you could figure out a slide lock in the center of the X’s that will lock all 4 corners of each corner brace in place. I don’t know what, but will look when I shut up. Also, heat and light degrade herbs and spices very quickly. If you move the spice jars higher,, away from the burners, they will last longer for you. Though having them in glass and not in plastic goes a long way to eliminate the acrid ‘stale’ odor that is mostly petroleum leaching from the plastic container. I only offered my thoughts on the top because you hadn’t found a solution and my dad (and husband) use the cross braces to firm up the heaviest loads that last over 50 years (so far. Still holding as strong as when first built). And the spice comment was a lesson learned myself from a camping build I did many years ago. It is the brightest and happiest camper/caravan/tiny home that I have ever seen. Will you move some of the colors inside? Really really cool. I am happy every time I see a quick glance at your thumbnail. I can imagine your camping neighbors wanting to get to know the dwellers of such a happy campsite. 😁
Caravan is schitterend geworden. Vaak verdrink ik in je ogen, als ik de filmpjes bekijkt. Heel veel plezier samen, veilige kilometers. Gr Netherlands Holland.
On my Hunter, I solved the door popping open by adding a grab handle to the outside by the luckset . I use a bike (long shank) lock around door knob and lock to grab handle. This keeps the door closed and gives a basic security to trailer when towing.
Personally I would keep the little potty esp if you don’t need the space. We have the potty for a night emergency, and without being TMI, imagine a torrential rain storm and very upset bowels. 👍Trust me... a very thankful back up system to keep here IMHO. 😂 If this helps, Keep a bit of water in it with a tablespoon of chemical while it is not being used until said ER... it shall stay fresh smelling until needed. 👍 Fabulous trailer and reno!
I love Stepbrother's reference! one of my fave movies. I like what you did with your camper! gives me great ideas. it's on my bucket list to get a camper one day and make it my own for fun road trips with my son!
Yay! Nice job :-) looks comfy - hope you come up with ideas on the roof pop up and the door knob/latch. I have a 1964 camper and we ended up with a hasp and padlock system. We just always make sure we lock the padlock on the latch so we can't be locked or trapped in.
I absolutely enjoyed learning about your vintage camper, especially since I'm from Chatsworth! I think you said it weighed around 900lbs before your remodel. How much does it weigh now? How did you find it, and were you specifically looking for this model or did it find you? BTW, you did a beautiful job with the colors and awnings. It's bright, cheerfull and a eye catcher!
What an awesome camper! I noticed you haven't been to Missouri yet. You'd love the Mark Twain forests, all the rivers and lakes. Lake of the Ozarks is beautiful, especially in the spring and fall. Happy and safe travels to you! 😎
hey that basecamp thing looks COOL. that's a pretty cool lil camper. i went with a van but i only summer camp. (better gas mileage). only thing i wouldn't be thrilled with is your tiny fridge. i got a Dometic CFX-50US just for my lil van (nissan nv200) and we fill it if we're out for a week.
You did a very nice remodel. The exterior looks brand new. You can tell it hasn't baked in the sun. I like your table & that cool bracket. There's some real wood edge banding you can iron on to the edges to make it look like a solid piece of wood instead of plywood. Just heat it with the iron, trim the excess with a knife & stain it to match. (I'm sure you have better things to do. Just a suggestion.)
I am addicted to the tiny house videos- I always wonder how healthy it is not to have a toilet that you can use for both poop and pee?! Also I couldn’t stand to not have my own shower - however I have only camped once in my whole life! I love your tiny home
For the toilet space I would put a floor flush with the threshold then you don't have to lift toilet over it. Use the little (secret) space for valuables,
Nice +++. Our restored 1972 Hunter Compact Jr has a few differences. Our bed 'mod' works like yours. We have a few different videos of it . P.S. -- I like your awning.
Your "extra space for activities" reference was greatly appreciated.
You are welcome :)
all up in front is 788888feet but the two have not yet
@@TinyHouseGiantJourneyhey Jenna are you two still together?

Love the color of this little Camper...bright and cheery..a perfect camping home'🌻

Good suggestion; it would minimize the number of seams in the center.
I too spotted that. Agree with u.x

Your camper's exterior is very beautiful and the interior's space was used to the fullest

Just an FYI, Lynn. Companies like Weber sell adapters to hook units like that to a regular 20 lb tank. Much cheaper way to get propane.

I've started to see those Lagun swivel hardware in a lot of Van Builds lately. That thing is incredible!
So cute , thank you both for sharing this with us.

wow it was worth the wait!!!! with your experience with your tiny house, you really maxed out the camper. so cute.
That is the cutest little trailer ever! What a great find! Love the final outcome is so nicely done 💕
Great job! We are being forced into a downsize and I am loving all of your space saving ideas!

Cool little camper. Is it me or does Jenna look exactly the same as when she shot her first tiny home video?
Jenna has implemented in the camper a lot of knowledge from her tiny living vast experience.
So sweet! I love it!
Can you do more videos on this camper? I just bought one recently and I'm working on it... and Congratulations on your pregnancy!
Its seems so good n abt the tiny house you had in the past.

It is so cute.
Only thing I would do a little different- Sleep with egg carton foam rubber on top of the pretty cushions. Store the foam rubber in the truck.

Hi I just bought the same trailer as you have and really want to ask questions on how you did certain things

Beautiful 😍
