what if the specified port is already in use?
For some reason I don't see the "Developer Default" option, it doesn't appear in any of the 3 versions I tried to install, and it's the first time I try to do it.
After going to System Variables in the environment thing, I can't double click Path section. That's where everything is hanging
Maybe, you incorrectly clicked on "Edit environment variables for your account". You need to click on "Edit the system environment variables" on START. Follow the video again.

My installation for sql server 8.0.33 getting fail at the step "Starting the server". The following logs are getting printed.
Retry 10: Attempting to connect to Mysql@localhost:3306 with user root with no password...
Unknown error: The Local Security Authority cannot be contacted
Failed to connect to MySQL Server 8.0.33 after 10 attempts.
Ended configuration step: Starting the server
Unable to understand how to resolve them. Pls look into it.

I downloaded the same thing yet so many options that were shown on your tutorial did not appear on mine. For me, under the MySQL Servers option, I ONLY got the options of Servers 5.6 and 5.7... AND under Applications, there was NO MySQL Shell or MySQL Workbench at all. The ONLY option under there was MySQL Router. Why aren't those options showing up for me...?!!

Instead of setting a password, it is asking for current root password. I don't remember it. Pls help me out.
If it is directly asking you to enter the current password, then maybe the installation failed or partially installed.
