Mikasa is like the best character on AOT. Emotionalally vulnerable, physically and mentally strong. Mikasa's character is the antithesis of all the annoying characteristics of shonen MCs, maybe that's why I really like mikasa's character. Her goal is personal-to protect her family and friends. And she has a strong sense of duty. She's burdened by all this since she can't afford to give up and be vulnerable with others but she still keeps going.

I mean I loved her especially in the early stages of the franchise, but as the story progressed and as secrets were brought to light, it turns out that since Mikasa is directly from Ackerman blood, her instincts are to protect her host; now I'm sure if you keep up with the anime or read the manga you already know, but her host is Eren, and they were awakened the very moment Eren told her to fight. Her headaches are from her original persona trying to escape the grasp of her other side that controls all the awakening and whatnot. When Armin lunged at Eren after he insulted Mikasa, Mikasa immediately pinned Armin down with brute force using her Herculean (titan) strength on the table. Once she realised what she'd done, she stepped backwards in fright of herself. She was afraid of her Ackerman side. The reason why every single Ackerman is so fucking amazing is because the lineage has what's called the power of the titans, meaning that not only do they inherit the strength from every other Ackerman combined, they also get strength equivalent to that of a titan's.
I don't particularly like her anymore because we don't know if her true self is also loyal to the people she loves. However, she cannot control being a bodyguard to Eren as the Ackerman clan was specifically created to protect the King. Either way, her personality never changed from Season 1 all the way to Season 4. She has no character development and as it is understandable why, I just don't like it LOL
