701 with FMF exhaust 🤤
A video I didn’t think I need but I needed it 😂
Nobody knows they need a Supermoto until they have one 🥲🥰🥰🥰
Great work lads. Both awesome bikes
Cool video, love that sound. For a big single, it is sick how hard this engine revs on top. They are actually tuned pretty correctly at full throttle on the top end, but the low and mid part throttle where one actually rides areas are lean for emissions reasons. The 690 platform really responds to uncorking and tuning, the fun factor goes way up.
Sick edit. Love the sumos 🤙
Thanks man! What do you ride?
@@Supermofools we ride a 2009 kx450f and 2020 husky 701
Hi SMF, welke zijn de spiegels die jullie hebben op jullie bikes?
Hey good video thanks enjoyed it. Quick question though where did you get the hide away mirrors from please. Mike
supermofools.com/product/mirrors-supermoto-enduro/
Is that dvr exhaust available for the GASGAS 700?
Have they both got standard clutches?
Man... I can't WAIT to get my 690!!!!!
Real question here is low end torque vs high end hp gains. Playing with back pressure, maps etc
DB killer 15 hp, holy shit
Good reason to take it out right? 😜
What db kills power ?
Love dyno video....but love the mountain twisties even more....great videos
Good news, we have just planned a new trip to the twisties 😍
Can’t find an fmf exhaust listed anywhere for a 701 😞
Pirate venturi intake, mushroom filter, FMF exhaust and Powercommander is the best way to gain HP on 701
What kind of gains with a quality tune would this net over stock?
@@simpleman9208 It depends but around 7-10 HP would be my guess, you'll see some people quote 20+ HP but that's unrealistic. Every engine comes out different from the factory, and they respond different to the power.
You would need to Dyno it before and after to be sure, when I had my 701 which is same platform as 690, I just installed the parts and uploaded a pre made tune I purchased. I raced with a few similar bikes with various mods and my combination always came on top.
It's kinda expensive tho, you'll need like $900 just for Powercommander, intake and filter (they come as kit from pirate racing), and exhaust will be another $300-$500.
@@simpleman9208 Biggest gain comes outside top hp, you gain power thru whole powerband, especielly in the low end
damn, my 690 2020 with full LV one evo had similar shit inside, I took this out, thanks
What is your headers on 701 ??
And what is your gearing?
6:05 that Sneaker has Seen 10,000 Upshifts😁👍
But also important, how much weight has been saved from te bikes?
Sweet video! I need to get one too. Wich gears do you clutch up for wheelies? I have a MT-07 now and is really easy to wheelie.
16-45
Did you guys have the same gearing?
I'm wondering what engine is the most reliable and strong for 450 to 750 cc singles for round the world trip. I've used yam Xt 500 which I liked a lot, simple and reliable and Suzuki Dr650se
crashking was super focused lol and bummed he didn't get the same or better than vdb 😂
Name of tuner and cost?
Wonder if I'd get the same sort of gains by removing the db killer from my Wings exhaust on my 2017 SMC-R
I'm wondering the same thing as I also have a Wings exhaust on my 2019 701 SM....
Yes u will I did in my 690
I’m for team 701 VDB!!! Let’s go!!! Full send!!! 👊🏻
You are hurting the feelies of Crashking 😭😭
I’m a big fan of VDB’s 701 ruclips.net/video/HS7WZNdkLQg/видео.html
I pick up my 690 Enduro R this Thursday!!!!!
Does anyone know who does ECU flashes for the 690/701/700?? Can it be flashed or do you have to buy an aftermarket ECU that's unrestricted?? I have a GasGas SM700 coming in a couple months and plan on modifying the hell out of it.
You need a powercommander
@@martinmagin4429 No you dont
What year of 701??
Chain is nice and tight @crashking
what is the DB air filter they keep talking about
DNA mate!
Any way to get these maps to test out? I’ll even pay for the files
Email to info@supermofools.com
Did you ever get to try out the maps?
Stock is around 65 hp and 72 is common modded a bit.
What mirrors are they and how do i get them 😂
how modded is that 701? I thought the ktm has more HP stock when its 1:1 KTM vs 701? Weird results.. nice vid tho :P
I'm guessing it's a bike-to-bike thing, two identical engines could perform different to each other
Did he tune the stock ecu or the power commander? Also, are those hp figures at the crank or at the wheel?
Wheel hp and powercommander 👍
@@Supermofools pc on both or the husky only?
@@weirdoe2279 both ofcourse!
Funny when he uncorked db killer lol
Enginne break like a 450 ?
I thought it came with 74hp standard? So doing the mods have lost slight hp…?
74hp crank hp is different from rear wheel horsepowers. 😉
I've got 85hp crank 71hp @ the wheel. This is very normal.
Please show the full dyno graph with hp and torque, I am very interested in that 🥺
What about a before and after tune comparison (graphs)?
Great video btw!!
You're not alone, me too
Of course, otherwise what is the point of this waste of time video?
Stock header on the 701?
Nice result :-)
Yes stock header
how about taking off the airfilter box???
We have the DNA AIR filters
@@Supermofools changing the original filter doesnt do much...if you want more response and hp you need to take off the airfilter box and get a stage 1 filter like from pirate racing
Are those euro 4 or euro 5 bikes?
4
So tell us why the power difference please. What’s the different setups?/
The top end Horsepower is different and torque is different. However, not only top end is important.
Husqvarna 701
DNA Air filter
Original header with FMF
Powercommander
KTM 690 SMC-R
DNA air filter
Powercommander
Full DVR exhaust system
Rottweiler SAS removal kit
@@Supermofools did you get 690 power commander from rottweiler?
Nope, from local dealers.
@@Supermofools did you install the fueling dongles/O2 optimizers with the power commander as well?
@@Supermofools I ask because this video from Rottweiler says without the fueling dongles, the power commander will be overwritten by the ecu, and normally making the bike run rich - ruclips.net/video/v4Er_H1DPLo/видео.html
Ive got a 2019 701. We need to get way more hp out of this motor...
Why?
@@belmont22 so I can go faster! 😬
@@brucefile7430 big bore, air intake, catless exhaust and it bombs nearly every other single cylinder away.
But is it worth the price?
@@hendrikschwarz5142 yes, I think it's worth the price and effort. I'll be doing all the things you listed plus a few more. I'm hoping to get close to 90hp out of that single...
@@brucefile7430 which company do you contact do do the build? I know a company in germany that does exactly that brutal torque build. Pirate racing.
If i had the money to do this without headache i would not regret to do it 😂
Can't decide if I should buy a 2021 husky or a 690 smcr... 🥺🥺
Which one do you think looks better?
@@Supermofools I'm 70% sure it will be a husky with VDB's year one graphics kit .. but we will see both are absolutely stunning when they are finished
Pfff die ktm 😍 droom bike
I wunt one of these.
What is the set-up to achieve 78hp please?
Well I have a KTM 690 Duke from -17. DNA stage 2 airfilter, sas eliminator, O2 sensor eliminated, decat with new midpipe. Mivv exhaust with dB killer and a PC5 tuned in on a Dyno. 78bhp on the rear wheel. Runs smooth, 24km/ltr and fast!
@@johnDukemaster mines a euro 5 and sadly the PC5 cannot tune ignition. I spoke to Dynajet and they have no plans to build a PC6 that can tune ignition on euro 5. At least not for the Husky 701 but they could means in general.
@@cribs4551 All these bloody rules! Killing all the fun! That's why I stay with me ol' bike.
Maybe an ECU flash?
@@johnDukemaster That sounds like the way forward, John. I saw a “Lamb Chops Rides” video where they flashed the ecu on a 701. Reckon I’ll do the same 👍
78 hp stock with custom exhaust?
I thought it was supposed to be 73hp and without a map a custom exhaust only reduces power.
Cuál es mejor 690 o 701
I don't even have a motercycle and watched the whole thing
6:27 that's small D energy sign. Don't do that ;)
The Husqvarna have powercomander?????
in the end they are basically the same
Im sorry did i catch that right, the muffler took 15 HP??
No the decibel killer 👌
they mean cat thats the thing with the holes in to restrict the engine, db killer killer doesn't look like it's on the bike from the start of the vid
@@Da.B no, thats not a cat, thats a DB killer. Cats have fine holes with like a mesh of routes for air to go. what they pulled out were just metal with a few large holes in.
@@matthew4107 well it definitly isn't a db killer even if it isn't a cat. db killer loses at max 1-2 hp and nrmly nothing
@@Da.B so you mean, the item they removed. that made the bike audibly louder once removed and was restricting free flow of exhaust gas to the exit of the exhaust was definatly not a DB killer?
DB killers restrict flow. if you say removing one doesnt give a performance increase, then you also are saying increasing flow of an exhaust doesnt give a performance increase.
But the KTM is more comfortable I've been told, nicer seat and smoother power
Other way around
just depends on tuning how smooth it rides not rly gotta do with what parts
I wonder what the Old Husaberg FS650 would make Rwhp🤨
Probably low 50s in stock trim which is amazing on something that weighs 113KGs
Mag wel even naar de kapper jij🙃
I've got the factory evolution map, open air filter lid, straight pipe and the O2 sensor removed, ....wonder how much torque in my 701-19?
Do you have an ECU flash or anything?
@@Maoshung
Yes, the factory evolution map is a flashed ECU.
@@simmapallen thank you! Can you give me a link or directions on how I can get my hands on one??
@@Maoshung
I had to beg my dealer and it was almost impossible to get it, because KTM refuse to hand it out due to emission laws.
@@simmapallen where r you located??
78!!! Wow, why so much difference with the 690?? What is the difference in the mods?? Shouldn’t they get almost identical numbers??
Dude it's tuning for yah. Ktm probably had worn cylinder and rings. Lower compression or just slightly out of adjustment valves. I bet the husky just got lower mileage
Header is different other than that valve clearance and possibly dirty injector can make a difference.
@@humzilla707 oh you mean the pipe? ofc that could also make a difference.
@@Xfacehack the 690 engine could be brand new and still be in this scenerio. timing, stroke length, compression, drivetrain weights and tolerances all make huge differences. engine size is very little to do with the power. thats why a 500cc can produce more HP than a 1000cc engine. because if the 1000 isnt designed to produce such a thing or isnt built to such tight tolerances it will lack.
They should have more or less the same numbers of power.
And yet they don´t :P
@@Juuul89 True.
i thought that both bikes got the same engine how a 5 bhp diference is possible?
The big difference is top end horsepower. However midfield the 690 is stronger, top end the 701. So exhaust is making an huge impact
wait a sec... Did the Husqvarna make 78 hp at the wheels with just slight mods?
ahahah if you can get someone to make a perfect intake and an accurate exhaust these things are insane, wonder whats the top speed on a well mapped 701 can reach
@@neggo4290 i never saw anyone post results past 73.5 and even those were dubious
@@leozisser5587 you gotta find a good mapper first, these engines have a lot of potential and you can buy a big bore kit too
@@leozisser5587 79.3hp at 7386.6 rpm and 81.5nm at 6578.4. Tuner said we lost some hp here and there since that was final run after like 3+ hours on the dyno. Rotty filter, tekmo header, 21' akrapovic.
Hp is more important than torque on a Supermoto?! I don’t think so
Absolutely not!
Rw hp or crank hp?

FMF exhaust cheap trash. If you're going to put €€ into your Husqvarna 701 or KTM 690 SMCR you need to do it right like full titanium Arrow racing exhaust. Cheap people that put cheap trash on these bikes like FMF or Wings exhaust don't have the money. If you're short, then wait and do it right.
