In between dates on their massively successful world tour, country superstars Lady Antebellum spent their brief summer break recording Christmas songs for their festive album "On This Winter's Night". This live concert film brings those songs to life with the help of more than 40 symphony orchestra musicians at Nashville's famed Schermerhorn Symphony Center. The program includes seasonal favourites like "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" and "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow", alongside the self-penned title track "One This Winter's Night". The collection includes 11 live performances along with personal Christmas stories, memories, and traditions that Lady Antebellum are sharing with their fans for the first time.

This song is one of 3 Lady Antebellum's songs (yes, *that* was the Group's name in 2013!) that have vaulted to my most favorite Christmas/holiday songs a decade later (in 2023). This song brings me to tears EVERY Time I am driving in communities near where I live. Deeply emotional and personal events (ALL work-related) caused approximately 10 or more co-workers (including Senior Management) to set out on a course of personal destruction with the willful intent of ruining the rest of my career (I'm nearly 67, with a *stellar* work history!).
The plan failed when I caused it to implode in an undeniably brilliant "drop-the-mic moment" (my supportive co-workers' words). With gratitude ... and the BIGGEST sigh of relief in my life behind me, I've reflected that is was only with faith in God ... and his grace, mercy and energy carrying me through the final phases of that big moment ... that I've felt the REAL LOVE of that moment (and of life) that I can finally sing these words of appreciation for living life with my savior ... knowing my creator is with me forever until the end of time.
I've been living fearlessly for the last year and a half but now, with an ever-singular focus on real goals for livelihood, religion, real friendships, humility and real respect for people, their situations and life circumstances ... I've come to share more openly and give more freely of my time, talents, and skills since I received support from other good people when I needed it the most.
So I let my voice SOAR when singing these lyrics (always in perfect key and pitch, too!) ... and I do not flinch or retreat when people look my way (because I truly am thankful for everything I learned on that painful journey) ... I let love and appreciation for a new life and outlook be the brightest stars in the sky that I can see ... and I see, smell, hear and taste the wonderful aspects of mercy that everywhere surround me.
Thank you to all who never lost faith in me, the silent MANY, the men and women in the world who have *also* not given up on hope and humanity, who see our "better angels" as still those involved people who step up when they are prompted to do so.
So let others who might know of my situation share their observations here, include their accounts, record their thoughts and reflections, and make this a comment area to serve as an educational moment for all who may think pain and misery never end, that things will never improve, and their life is over. I'm here to tell you that you must take calculated risks, you must be fearless, and ... you must live YOUR life to the fullest (and not let others dictate your future), and ... MOST OF ALL, you must NEVER give up on your faith ... and hope ... if you expect to fulfill your dreams and your purpose in life. We may never find exactly what that is ... but we surely never will if we give up along the journey.
With God or your maker at your side, ready to carry you when you feel weak and broken, with angels above (and around you) that you cannot see, it is important to walk forward in faith and believe that you can make it to the destination that will showcase "the best version of yourself" for all to see. When that happens you will feel reinvigorated ... and want to help others ... which is the next journey that I began on Dec. 1, 2023 ... and I now say: "With God, ALL things are possible!" Never lose hope, Never give up!
