Love your very honest report and reactions especially eating the sago worm. We already bought our air tickets from JFK airport to KK in the first week of April 2023 for 2 weeks. USA, 12/2022
hi guys do you have some vlog about Kota Kinabalu accomodations like hotel, motel, etc... from cheap to expensive. I'm planning to visit Kota Kinabalu & looking where to stay...

We want to try Tarap! Really curious about it! We would try sago worms just to try it, but I think we would be happier about the two slices of cucumber. Haha. The fresh seafood restaurant looks so good. Those calameres...yummyyyy! Beautiful decoration outside the restaurant! Perfect to end the day with cheesecake ice cream. Great video as always guys!
@@theRTWguys thanks guys for presenting KK Sabah. Yes, agreed the Tarap is unique. Next trip try our local Durians, Mangosteen, Rambutans, and local Mangoes. Langsak and Jack Fruit is OK. Go to the Kungdasan area(foothills of the Mt Kinabalu, and taste the local grown produce. Vegetables, Sabah tea etc. The Poring Hot Springs, there is a Garden where there you will see local flowers, last time I went I saw Roses that is the size of the noodle soup bowl. Try to see the Rafflesia, which is rare, the monkey cup.... On the drive up to the mountain, I remembered there was a local restaurant that had on the menu, a commonly consumed dish by new mothers in confinement. (chicken n ginger broth cooked in local brewed rice wine) it was memorable for me, that was 20 odd years ago. I wonder if it survived the test of time... Try the local grown vegetables 'Changkok Manis' that is local to Sabah. It's sweet n delicious. Not all restaurants offer them. This vegetable is also available in Vietnam, as I watched the Channel, Jhony who foraged thus in the wild. In Sabah thus vegetable is harvested from a shrub, but the tree that Jhony foraged from was a full grown tree at the edge of the forest... Apologies for the rambling, I got carried away by my reminiscening....
