- Israel’s government is describing US plans to sanction military units accused of human rights violations as a red line. Secretary of State Antony Blinken is expected to announce the restrictions in the coming days.
Al Jazeera’s Zein Basravi has been speaking to Palestinians in the occupied West Bank -- who say these sanctions are merely a whitewash for Israeli crimes.

How are they going to sanction one army unit? The IDF can just change the name of the unit, or disband it and move around the criminals to different units. A blanket ban is needed.
