for a singleplayer game like this where im just tryin to explore and enjoy a good story on the go, i think its acceptable. With some frame generation added, this is going to hit that sweet spot tho
im running it Maxed except path tracing and streamed to my OLED deck, it is s great experience, i dont think id even try to run this on my deck natively.
You can also use nis with sharpening at 5 it'll look better then the 50% render scale taa option. To use nis you need to go into game properties and force a resolution below 1280 by 800p like 800p by 500p as an example.
@GameTechPlanet yeah steam deck HQ recommended using NIS if you do try it out can you put up a short or other quick video showing if it works better please. I can get the premium edition for a good price for the holidays.
Not sure but proton experimental is probably fine but you need to be on beta update branch unless you like mountain dew green eyes. Also use nis with level 5 sharpening it looks better then the 50% render scale option. To use nis you need to go into game properties and force a resolution lower than native like 800 by 500 as an example.
So you...er... got the game running on an unstable beta channel but not on the channel most users will use. Ok. That makes perfect sense. 😅 What is wrong with Valve?? Very little they do seems to make any sense to me, these days. So are they now gonna suggest its playable? We know how thats worked out for countless other titles.
It makes perfect sense though. The beta channel has not thoroughly tested updates to the steamdeck that hasnt been implemented into the stable channel incase those updates break the stable channel that most users are on. Once the feature is 100% confirmed to work and wont break the stable version it will be implemented into the stable version.
Too bad the game has non-optional ray tracing. I'm sure it would perform substantially better without it. Here's hoping theyll continue to update the games performance for lower end machines.
It looks better using Nvidia image scaling. To use it on deck you need to force a lower resolution in Gane property like 800 by 500 as an example. It looks more sharp not as soft as the option he used especially on texts will be sharper with nis.
As someone who has played this at 120 FPS locked on a 4k OLED this is puke inducing. I can't tolerate anything below 60 FPS for a fast paced action game anymore.

This looks like a Nintendo DS game and I love it
After playing through the entirety of Jedi Survivor on the Steam Deck, this looks great to me

Great comment thanks. Will try it out. I know the fsr3 and framegen update is in the way as well

Good enough for me.

Oh god it looks so awful 😀

Yes, looks shit
sigh steamdeck...you need an upgrade..
Nah the ROG Ally does not do much better. The game is just very heavy. That they can even run it at all is a minor miracle.
On my ex am getting 50 60 gps 😂😂😂😂
nah I'm not touching my deck with this
Looks like a ps3 game more or less
Game is pretty mid, I got bored mid Vatican section. Might get back to it eventually
yeesh…

@@mpauls85 as someone who had to play Witcher 3 on a switch at 30fps, sounds like a 1st-world-gamer problem
Wow arent you just something lmao
