    For anyone wondering, I finished this with less than 50g (1.76oz, 105m/115yds) using a 4mm hook (my yarn called for that size instead of 3.5mm) and it came out perfectly great! I think I did 14 rows instead of 15 though but I still had quite a bit left and I'm pretty sure I could have gone for the 15 rows. But at 14 I liked how it looked already and I got tired lol good luck everyone!! Great tutorial!

      @gwynethnoellealaurin9546 2 года назад +2

      May I know the exact size of your bandana? Mine has already 15 rows but it is still more. I think it is because of the yarn I use. I need to add more rows but I want to k ow the exact size of the bandana so I know when I'll stop the rows

    • @knitted_sweater_near_fireplace
      @knitted_sweater_near_fireplace Год назад +3

      @@gwynethnoellealaurin9546 I think it depends on size of your head, for me it was 13 rows, but it fit my head approximately 2 cm from ear on both sides without straps)

    hiii. to anyone who is struggling with the "3 dc in the last st", what i did is 3dc in the 3rd chain i did in the beginning of a row(the "Ch 3"). it worked for me. i messed up a lot of times in this part and i think i'm not the only one. you can also use a stitch marker so you won't be confused! (i'm bad at english so sorry if my explanation isn't that well but i hope it somehow helps)

    • @hayhaycrochet
      @hayhaycrochet  2 года назад +10

      Yes I have noticed some people struggling with this, but as I mention in this video and my written pattern on my blog is that the "ch 3" count as a stitch, so when I say "3 dc in the last st" I mean the "ch 3". I hope this makes since.☺️

    i love this. i read the pattern and (i struggled with it because i’ve never read a pattern before) and my mom who is a lot more skilled was explaining it to me for the first row and then just said to do 3 dc in each big whole with 6 in the top of it. then i watched the video and it made so much more sense. i’m both a visual learner and a written learner so having the pattern explained on your website and then having a video watching you do it made perfect sense to me! thank you so much. i’m currently making matching ones for me and my sister 🤍

    About halfway done - recommend playing on 1/2 speed if you're new to crochet/pattern reading in general. I'm a knitter learning to crochet (this will be my second project) and I found 1/2 speed really helps! Then I got the hang of it, and it's coming together so quick. Super cute pattern and I love the tutorial!
    By any chance, are you on Ravelry? Would love to properly link the pattern but cannot seem to find you.

    Row 5-15: You will repeat the same process for every row of- Turn your work. 3 dc into first st (ch 3 counts as 1 of the 3 dc in the first st), 3 dc in every ch space with a ch 1 in between each dc cluster, 2 dc clusters in the top corner ch space with a ch 3 to separate the two clusters, and 3 double crochet in the last st of the row. I would love to enjoy my sweet bandana, if only it was slowed down with close up shots of the difficult stitches, like the gorgeous bobbles. You had close up shots of the SC, which are easy. Such a shame as this is the best bandana pattern on RUclips. For us beginners, this would have been a lovely challenge from moving on from crochet coasters. I’m more visual, then reading patterns, I find overwhelming. Anyway, rant over, thank you for the video. ❤

    Love this pattern. I followed this pattern on your blog and the first one I made I used a light weight 4 and left off the last row-but really, I could have left off 1 or 2 more rows. I have really fine hair. So, I’m on my second bandana and I’m using Willow yarn (Everest), which is 50% fine Merino/50% Microfiber. I’m doing this for my 7 year old granddaughter who has Alopecia. That 3rd stitch you all are finding hard- just make sure when you make that you make it just slightly bigger, then when you come back through you can find it easier. I also did the trim around the edges and that (to me) adds so much to make it a nice finished look.

    the video is sooo helpful, thank you for this! i had a few questions while making it that i effectively just improvised my way through, but for other new crocheters:
    1.) for the picot edging, what are the 4 sc stitching into? one into the ch space, and the other 3 into whichever stitches bring you to the next ch space?
    2.) for the sc along the bottom of the bandana (between the two ties) what are you stitching into? there are some spaces along the edge but they seemed too far apart so i stitched into and between each space
    incredible tutorial though, i sifted through a bunch of other bandana instructions before deciding this one would be easiest to follow, and i was right! thank you!

      Yes, but I would work less rows so it won’t be too big and bulky

    i think you have a bit of a typo mistake, at the middle part you wrote dc 3 chain 3 dc 3 at every row but row 5, there you said dc 2 chain 3 dc 2 i think?
    anyways, i love your tutorial a lot and i just started making my own bandana🫶🏻

    Can someone explain what “work 3dc in the last st” what last stitch I’m so confused 😭

    • @geraldsantillan6824
      @geraldsantillan6824 6 месяцев назад

      It means you have to work 3 double crochet in the last stitch not the hole just a regular stitch
