What did you guys think of Magnus Carlsen's knight sacrifice in this game? And what about Magnus withdrawing from the World Rapid / Blitz tournament - do you think he had a good enough reason?
I really like sac-exchanging a knight for two king-protecting pawns. It's weird that GMs typically avoid that move. Am I smarter than a GM? 😂 Also at the end, I believe Magnus would have been fine had he pushed the F pawn instead of the G pawn. Just intuition. I feel like this was a blitz game?
14:17 Don´t understand the moves The king is sacking the bishop. Why ? Sorry.Queen d5 and followed by white pawn A2-A4, B2-B4 Queen A2 etc makes more sense.
It doesn't matter because the king is getting checkmated anyway. You can see the eval bar showing mate in 10. This guy just chose to show the shorter checkmate variation
You are a Magnus Hater!!!! Who cares if the Players are wearing Jeans???? The Camera only see them from the Chest Up Anyway!!!! More Elite BS from some Snobs!!!! Most of the World is Playing Chess in Jeans and Shorts Every Single DAY!!!!
DrMike has repeatedly expressed his admiration for Magnus and I agree with him here. You may argue about whether the dress code should be abolished, but while it’s in force, it applies even to Magnus. He probably just used it as an excuse to withdraw from the tournament. Good point by DrMike and refreshing that he shares this opinion publicly!

It's a 100% terrible sacrifice, and the cost of only a castle led to his defeat in this game
@@SK-it4fb Give me your IQ points, you clearly don't deserve them
Why the black king didn't take the white bishop when the queen check at 14:17?
me wanna know too
Probably trying to use the bishop as a shield to hopefully stop the queen checks but as you can see its all losing even if he took the bishop.
