- Welcome to The Football Boot Hour. This week the obvious point of discussion is the brand new F50 launch. At the time of recording we are a couple of days away but it is official and it is coming back with a lovely Messi chameleon purple look.
Not only do we have the new F50 to talk about, along with a lot of other new releases, we also wanted to talk about the big adidas picture and answer the question. Were adidas right to get rid of the F50, the Predator, the 11Pro and the Nitrocharge almost 10 years ago?

Adi could slap fusionskin/leather on these f50s and produce a banger year. Now if we can only get readily available stock that would be great.
Would also love to see Adidas go full throttle on selling nostalgia and campaign. Seeing an F50, Predators and Adipures kicking around a gen release jabulani design modern match ball with teamgeist kits would be so sick.
Nike can save themselves by joining the train. Leather tiempos with tongue, CTR return, carbon fiber superflys, t90s
It looks like we might get some fusion skin on at least one pair of these, they did it with the Pred, have to expect it!! Hopefully stock is very readily available too. Agreed.
Looks like there's a bit of teamgeist coming too, that new arsenal kit is very teamgeist.
I don't think that would save Nike either!!!!! I don't think there's enough heritage to the CTR, carbon Superflys or arguably even the T90 Vs the Predator they can't win that.
@@BootWizardyeah Nike is in a tough spot for sure. Nike heritage maybe doesn’t exist with the older crowd but in some ways it exists in the yonger crowd bc they grew up during the 2010 write your future/ 2014 commercials age
Hey guys, great conversation as always. I feel like Nike have an ace up their sleeve to compete with Adidas and in particular, the pred. Scrap the phantom gx or alteast the name and bring back the hypervenom phantom name. Either an all-new hypervenom phantom 4 or a better version of the phantom 1. Either way, they have to bring back the ☠ logo. That was 🔥.
I'm not sure the hypervenom has enough weight to compete!!! They'd have to actually bring back a HV1 i think.
Video is amazing as always guys! It will be nice to get chapters in there if possible, though
working on it, you're just too early to the video haha. Usually takes me a little while to get it uploaded and then have to watch through and add chapters. They'll be up soon.
Only thing Nike can do now to regain lost ground is a full predator/f50-esque rerelease of the T90...and I'm all for it 😁

Honestly, they kind of make them better than they used to in a lot of ways in my opinion, and this really is just a name, this has more x DNA than F50 for me. Very cool to have the name back though.
I also don't even think Nike bringing back the T90 would put any kind of dent in this. adidas have got this covered right now and I don't think a heritage Nike name is going to make much of a difference. Nike need something even bigger than that!!!!!

Agree in the whole that boots are better now but for me, the very best of back in the day is better than the very best of now. I'm a mania pulse laser man and cannot be swayed an inch on that 😂

At this point there's not actually any information around it. I don't doubt there will be at least 1 AG variation though.
