Lionblaze is one of those characters that have lots of potential but not very good canonical development. This map really brings out the highlights of his story and presents them in a very compelling way. All the animators did a fantastic job! The movements match to the beat of the song very well
I think lionblaze suffered much more than people notice. He had to stay strong through so much and I feel as if people only look at his blank side but I always feel like he felt some dread every day it's just the Erins didn't add it tending they were adding more to hollyleaf and jayfeather.. lionblaze seems to struggle more than both of the two... he lost his best friend to defend his own clan, he lost his sister, he was betrayed of who he thought was his kin, he was manipulated by his "mentor" (tigerstar) ,his own mentor tried to murder him more than once,he lost his mate then regained her, he had to always be good for starclan, he always felt like he had to hold himself back, the hole fact on losing his powers, if this isn't proof of what true courage than I don't know what is.... he truly is a awesome character! And I hope to see more of him Also want to say this was a amazing animation and it really expresses how is life was it is such a beautiful master piece!!
Oh I don't think we've had many Lionblaze MAPs before! This is hardly surprising considering how underwhelming his character is in the books, especially in Omen of the Stars, but this MAP managed to take the interesting parts of the arc and make something beautiful :^)

When I was a kid reading Warriors for the first time, Lionblaze was my favorite character, and remains one of my favorite characters to this day. He’s always been just one of the cats you can love without consequence. I know he was never an amazing character and I wish he had more personality, but I just really appreciate that he got a MAP! He deserves it and I’m amazed at how well everyone portrayed him!

In the Power of Three he was definitely my favourite one of the three, but later they gave him no real personality, sadly... I think they should've made him be the spy instead of Ivypool lol
I LOVE this MAP! Reading about him made me fall in love with his character, and then re-reading the story made me realize how good of a character he was. He could have fallen in with the Dark Forest, and he nearly did, but he didn’t. His entire story is about learning to be good, and trying to stay good. He never strives to be Starclan like, but he strives to stay himself, not the bloodthirsty monster he was scared to become. He loves deeply, and I admire That about him. He’s always trying to save the ones he loves, and in Bramblestar’s Storm he had to learn how to step back and realize that he COULD rely on his clan mates to help him out when he was in a tight spot. That’s what I love about Lionblaze. He always tried to stay himself, yet was scared of change. Which makes him one of the more realistic characters for me.
Im surprised to learn people didnt like lionblaze. I was always interested in his parts when it came to meeting with heatherpaw and his relationship with cinderheart
ok so besides the fact on how this map took over 2 YEARS of effort to finish, and there are so few maps focusing on lionblaze, this is one of the best maps realeased this year! I never loved lionblaze, but the way his life was presented in this map is outstanding. thank you and the other animators for making this project come to life!
Finally some Lionblaze appreciation!! He was my favourite of three, consistantly dependable, likable and he had the most unique power in my opinion, he had to work so hard to control it and be a good person in his own eyes and his chapters were always the most fun. I love him :')

At 1:50 , when the song says "now learn from your mother, or you'll spend your days biting your own neck," I thought that maybe it was like, learn from Leafpool being with Crowfeather, and stop seeing Heatherpaw. I'm the only one who thought that? Ok.

I always thought of Lionblaze as a character who was given a gift, that being the ability to seemingly win every battle he fights, and yet that gift turns out to be a double-edged sword. He accidentally kills cats on the regular and is prone to uncontrollable battle rage. This in and of itself doesn't seem all that important, but there is a character he has a surprising amount of similarity to, TIGERSTAR. Both cats grew up in "broken homes" so to speak, with their parental figures betraying their trust. They both had twisted and sadistic mentors with alterior motives who screwed up their mental states. And, both cats were blessed with the ability to win battles and cursed with uncontrollable rage at the worst of times. Tigerstar wasn't merely a temptation for Lionblaze, he was his mirror image, a look at what Lionblaze could easily become if he keeps giving in to his power too much. Hence, when confronted with this, Lionblaze symbolically defeats Tigerstar and then tries to avoid using his power and thus going into "kill everything" mode. Lionblaze, I think, is what Tigerstar, with all his flaws, would've looked like had he stayed loyal to Thunderclan. If anything, Lionblaze's behavior in recent books, especially his accidental killing of Harestar and his tendency towards blindly vindictive tactics as acting leader of Thunderclan make this comparison stronger. I think had Tigerstar not killed Redtail and just waited his turn, remaining loyal to his clan, he would've looked a lot like Lionblaze in turns of personality.
I watch this every so often as a reminder to myself that yes, Warrior Cats MAPs do frighteningly resemble the shit going on in my life. And also for the reminder I’ve really fucked it up this time. And last time I messed up. And the time before that.

im happy to see a rise in the number of maps using underrated songs for warriors and many other communities. I'm seeing maps/amvs for Fall Out Boy, now seeing a map for a song i grew up with as a child back in the early 2000s makes me so emotional. it truly is the song that will make me remember all the journeys around england and wales i did with my parents and grandparents during the holidays between school terms.

AAAA FINISHED FINALLY!!!! i've been waiting for this day for months!!! and the result is priceless! Despite some of the parts being a bit old, this looks amazing! the parts flow together very nicely, and all of the animators did a FANTASTIC job! This is now one of my favorite MAPs of all times. Oh my gosh that was absolutely incredible! The concept is pretty amazing too, you never see any Lionblaze maps done. In my opinion, he's pretty underrated. The artists did an amazing job with each part and the song choice is phenomenal. Everybody did such an awesome job portraying his character. Amazing work everybody!
Just gotta say , Blue Flame's animation is just so smooth and their movements are so , well animated? (Idk how to describe it) But all the animators did such an amazing job on this! Wow!
I just realized after the leafpool twist the three reacted in the different ways that go with eachother. Jay blamed starclan for not telling him, Holly blamed others threatening and killing those she found guilty, Lion blamed himself in some ways pushing to be stronger and pushing himself into his work and improvement.
The song makes it more understand-bile. If you don’t under stand and I think this is it here: The song says “ Its not your fault but mine and it’s your heart on the line. “ so it’s like it not their fault they died it was his fault and when it says be __________ it up he messed up rlly bad bc he killed them. I pretty sure that’s the meaning.
Ah it's been a while since i saw a warriors MAP. This felt just só good, the athmosphere, the emotions, all the familiar animation style form animators I checked every day... This was incredible, congratulations to everyone!
Lionblaze is one of my favorite characters, for three reasons, He overcame his Dark Forest trips, He choose good instead of evil, And he’s overall just a great character. He isn’t boring, he is amazing,
Ahh, good ol' Lionblaze, the solid rock of the clan. This is a fantastic representation of his character, and all the animators did a splendid job showing the constant struggle within himself. Great job Blue for hosting this wonderful MAP!
Lionblaze needed a map. He was always the least liked of the three by me but I honestly like him more now. The map shows him as someone who went too far trying to live up to his expectations, and it gives him a new light that he didn't have before. The animation was amazing, especially some of the action scenes. Beautiful. Amazing map. He really needed one.
People never really seem to realize the hardships Lionblaze experienced, they only saw a boring character with a "stereotypical" super power. I've actually never seen a MAP just for Lionblaze, so seeing this mad me really happy. (Extra points for using a Mumford and Sons song xd)
I'm so happy lionboi got his own MAP, since Jaybae already has a song and a MAP, and Hollyleaf already has a song. Honesty, I think he's underrated as a character, even though he's not my favorite, he had to say no to Tigerstar and hawkfrost, and say no to Heatherpaw...

I felt terrible for Lionblaze at some parts. I feel that Lionblaze was a misfit. But at some parts, really drove me to tears. Ashfur and Lionblaze fighting gotten me in tears as well. The end got me good. This is one of my favorite maps. Thank you all so much! You guys are such amazing people.
@@ShadowwolfUchiha well it's a lot to explain. But I used after effects. The basic colour transition I used 4 different coloured bgs one for morning, afternoon, sunset and night and just cross faded between them. I animated the moving leaves with a puppet tool and copied the animation onto all 4 different versions. For the clouds I made one huge canvas of clouds and saved 4 dif versions for the different times of days. I then did a warp mesh over the sky and so the clouds moving up looks like it's going across the sky. The sun was made using a lens flare. I think that's it? Haha

Your sister dead under the holly bushes, your home destroyed by storms and questioning your very ancestors, innocent blood on your 'hands'. Lionblaze has so much potential.

Thank you Blue for letting me in, I'm glad I was part of this awesome project and even if my part's 3 years old it's good to see that I'm getting a bit better with each year that passes. AAAA FINISHED FINALLY!!!! i've been waiting for this day for months!!! and the result is priceless! Despite some of the parts being a bit old, this looks amazing! the parts flow together very nicely, and all of the animators did a FANTASTIC job! This is now one of my favorite MAPs of all times. Nice job, everyone!

Oh my gosh that was absolutely incredible! The concept is pretty amazing too, you never see any Lionblaze maps done. In my opinion, he's pretty underrated. The artists did an amazing job with each part and the song choice is phenomenal. Everybody did such an awesome job portraying his character. Amazing work everybody!
Just gotta say , Blue Flame's animation is just so smooth and their movements are so , well animated? (Idk how to describe it) But all the animators did such an amazing job on this! Wow!

I just realized after the leafpool twist the three reacted in the different ways that go with eachother. Jay blamed starclan for not telling him, Holly blamed others threatening and killing those she found guilty, Lion blamed himself in some ways pushing to be stronger and pushing himself into his work and improvement.
The song makes it more understand-bile. If you don’t under stand and I think this is it here: The song says “ Its not your fault but mine and it’s your heart on the line. “ so it’s like it not their fault they died it was his fault and when it says be __________ it up he messed up rlly bad bc he killed them. I pretty sure that’s the meaning.

Ah it's been a while since i saw a warriors MAP. This felt just só good, the athmosphere, the emotions, all the familiar animation style form animators I checked every day... This was incredible, congratulations to everyone!

Lionblaze is one of my favorite characters, for three reasons,
He overcame his Dark Forest trips,
He choose good instead of evil,
And he’s overall just a great character.
He isn’t boring, he is amazing,
Oh my god this is just wanderful! So many wanderful maps are beeing Completed lately!
Ahh, good ol' Lionblaze, the solid rock of the clan. This is a fantastic representation of his character, and all the animators did a splendid job showing the constant struggle within himself. Great job Blue for hosting this wonderful MAP!

Lionblaze needed a map.
He was always the least liked of the three by me but I honestly like him more now. The map shows him as someone who went too far trying to live up to his expectations, and it gives him a new light that he didn't have before.
The animation was amazing, especially some of the action scenes. Beautiful.

People never really seem to realize the hardships Lionblaze experienced, they only saw a boring character with a "stereotypical" super power. I've actually never seen a MAP just for Lionblaze, so seeing this mad me really happy. (Extra points for using a Mumford and Sons song xd)
I'm so happy lionboi got his own MAP, since Jaybae already has a song and a MAP, and Hollyleaf already has a song.
Honesty, I think he's underrated as a character, even though he's not my favorite, he had to say no to Tigerstar and hawkfrost, and say no to Heatherpaw...

I felt terrible for Lionblaze at some parts. I feel that Lionblaze was a misfit. But at some parts, really drove me to tears. Ashfur and Lionblaze fighting gotten me in tears as well. The end got me good. This is one of my favorite maps. Thank you all so much! You guys are such amazing people.

@@ShadowwolfUchiha well it's a lot to explain. But I used after effects. The basic colour transition I used 4 different coloured bgs one for morning, afternoon, sunset and night and just cross faded between them. I animated the moving leaves with a puppet tool and copied the animation onto all 4 different versions. For the clouds I made one huge canvas of clouds and saved 4 dif versions for the different times of days. I then did a warp mesh over the sky and so the clouds moving up looks like it's going across the sky. The sun was made using a lens flare. I think that's it? Haha

This maps taken forever to complete, but holy starclan it was worth the wait.
Imagine never ever being able to be hurt at all for your whole live and then feeling pain for the first time as the world crashes around you. Your sister dead under the holly bushes, your home destroyed by storms and questioning your very ancestors, innocent blood on your 'hands'.
