I'm a trainer myself and I teach the veer, change of pace, off-hand action to all my guards. I'm going to start incorporating dribble jab steps and lateral dribbles now. Thank you for the lesson! Basketball is always evolving.
1) 01:23 - Active Off Hand (Keep your hand up as a hand bar) Kevien Durant uses the move very efficiently. The off hand should be aggressive. 2) 03:37 - Jab Series (Dribble Triple Threat) Jab in the direction you want the defender to create space in. 3) 05:16 - The Veer- (Full arsenal at the rim) Get your body in front of the defender. Keep in mind that your momentum has to be higher than your defender to accomplish this, speed is key. 4) 06:54 - Lateral Space Creation- (keep gliding) 5) 09:08 - Eye Fake - (Sell it with your eyes or Pass fake with it) change of pace, keep looking at everyone with your eyes to make plays.
Seriously, the eye fakes are so important on an elite level. Because every player is so great, the little things give you that half second you need to make a good play.

Very underated i needed this im 14 have a good handle.but need to know what to do at the right time need.to.get in the habit of taking less dribbles and make quick moves and exacute the play
This video made me watch the whole way through and even though i knew some or most of these little tricks. It's not about knowing or seeing these moves before. it's about practicing them over and over and over again and applying them to your game. The only thing separating an NBA player and other players is hard work. GOTTA KEEP WORKING HARD!
Hey Joe! I am 11 and I play point guard. I have plenty of room for improvement and I am watching this on my way to a tournament right now! I will let you know if this helps. Also maybe you could make a video on tips for when you have a ball during a fast break? Thanks!
Firstly, you're well-spoken (and written) for an 11-year-old. Great job. I'd love to hear how your tournament goes so please update. Lastly, I'll make a note on creating the video you requested. Good luck and truly have fun when you play. - Joe @ TeamEGT
First favorite coach on this channel damin alitizer and coach drew halen I hope you are not offended because this is still the best basketball training in basketball.
Nice. We'll never cover all of the moves and counter moves, it's virtually impossible. So being a creative player will always keep the game fresh and exciting. - Joe @ TeamEGT
Matt Vincent Castil Just work super hard. Like run sprints hard and train your layups really hard. It will develop mental toughness and you’ll always believe you can make the play

Can we do behind the backups after lateral space creation??

Whatever you think you need to do in order to create space or achieve your desired result(s).
- Joe @ TeamEGT
Everytime i play i get nervous. And i hesitate to lay up . I just do jumpshot , Can you help me with it .
Matt Vincent Castil Just work super hard. Like run sprints hard and train your layups really hard. It will develop mental toughness and you’ll always believe you can make the play
We’re opposite. Everytime I play, I always drive. I don’t have the confidence to shoot even though I have a good shot form
Have you done a viedo of little point guards vs tall defenders?
No. Not sure if we'll get to it either.
