Many Angelina fans believe this was the best presentation she ever produced. Her vocal style in this is beyond extraordinary and especially with regard to that low register she delivers. But it goes much further than that and I can note so much of the nuance and inflections Bille Holiday invented. Add in that 'breathy' delivery and you can't help but be blown away. Had it been formally released, there is no way it wouldn't have zoomed up the charts. The reason why Sara never allowed it to be released may have something to do with her believing at 10 that Angelina was too young, but there are also lyrics that talk about a self imposed drowning/suicide and Sara is well known for her strictness with regard to what Angelina is allowed to sing.
The more you know about a subject the more you can share about. Why do so many reactors assume the less they know the more true their reaction is,...? Its just the opposite. We love Angelina's performances exactly because she is so knowledgeable about everyone she emulates. Likewise all my fav reactors are professionals and know why Angelina's history is unique and express that in their reactions. If you don't know who Screaming J Hawkins was, you may be baffled why AJ is screaming so much in "I Put A Spell On You" as an example. Its truly masterpiece arranged by AJ.
