    The best quilters out there keep their first quilts for life and are proud of all their mistakes because it is a great way to measure growth and progress from all points of view: colors coordination, piecing skills, quilting skills, complexity and elegance.
    Obviously you made a great progress, be proud of yourself !
    You deserve a great 👍
    And also… look into becoming a Bernina’s representative. There are benefits on becoming one.

    Love your room for sewing!! FYI I did notice that your cutting mat was warped. You might consider getting a new one, because when you cut if you’re cutting mat is warped, your material will come out wonky.

    I love this video! Everyone has challenges, but we don't always show the perseverance. Thanks for your regular videos, especially this video! I struggle with free motion on my machine. The stitches on my backing tend to look like eyelashes. I step away, do something else, and then try again. One day I'll have a complete quilt with free motion, not just strait line quilting. Thanks again!

    • @CraftyQuiltingDesigns
      @CraftyQuiltingDesigns  Год назад

      Keep at it the eye lashes at the back is a tension problem
      Practice adjusting the tension before quilting the quilt practice on a small quilt sandwich before the main quilt sometimes it is simple as changing the bobbin thread but you must test it first before the starting to quilt the quilt

    this is so lovely you have shown us that you don't have to have all of the frills to have a beautiful simple quilting space, to do this, so many others seem to show all the glossy frills which all means nothing, thank you for this just a room that is your space for crafting and creating Iove it.

    I love the quilt you said to
    Just pay the postage. It is beautiful. I bet it went right after that video.
    A color wheel in your sewing room will help if you are ever unsure of what colors go together.

    I love your quilts! The first quilt I made was a log cabin. It was blue and pink. I had no idea what value was. At the time I thought blue was a value and pink was a value. It is a blob of blending pieces. You can hardly tell it is a log cabin. I made it at a retreat where I learned how to use rotary cutters and all things quilty. And I was there with my mom and my oldest sister. It’s a pretty ugly quilt but it holds so many wonderful memories.

    You need a large folding table or two to be able to lay out your quilts and pin so no fold over creases happen. It is hard. That is the part I hate. Smoothing out the three layers so they are flat with no creases. On a nice day you can be outside as you smooth out your quilts.

    Your quilts are beautiful, but you should close the blinds, before they get sun faded. It would be a sin. To get sun faded. And you should refold them with tissue. Lovely quilts.
