    Thank you for a great tutorial! I am a 6 foot 1 tall man and this worked perfectly with my 5 month old. He is now sleeping comfortably on my back while I am folding laundry.

    I front carried my baby the whole first year, but now that she’s 24 pounds front carrying hurts my back! I’m hoping that back carrying will be more comfortable, but I’ve been terrified to try it alone...

    i suggest that u practise back carrying with someone holding the baby before u do it alone. it is much harder than carrying ababy in the front however with practice, it becomes easier and mummy would be much more comfortable to do her chores n such. ive carried my first born on my back from 6 months to 16 months. easier when theyre older and a life saviour when they wont nap but u need to do ur work or prep food n such.

    I wearing my baby on my back rn! I freakin love this thing and so does he! Works best when im trying to clean the house and he wont stop getting in the way or crying because of the vacuum.
    As someone who is not flexible, it is hard to put baby on my baby alone. I still bust it out tho

    Absolutely no chance for me to hold on to my 8month old with one hand only when he weighs 11kg (about 24pounds)
    Is there a way to do this seated?

    I've tried multiple times to adjust the carrier for back position and I would not recommend this tutorial.

    Any chance of this tutorial without the music - it’s very distracting.

    I can't do the back position by myself. The strap was choking me. I'm a lot shorter and fatter. I don't plan on loosing any weight. So, I would like to see a fat person trying all these positions themselves.

      +Krish Schmidt What's your reasoning behind that comment? I'd like to see some research. :)

    • @anacabralx
      @anacabralx 7 лет назад +1

      i'm much fatter and I use it no problem at all!

    • @anacabralx
      @anacabralx 7 лет назад +1

      why? Actually the extra baby weight on legs is good for muscles. And if used it means we're walking, which is good for any person, especially people that need to lose some weight.

    • @anacabralx
      @anacabralx 7 лет назад +2

      common sense? that is very vague. It all depends on the person, their sense, and preconceptions. So no, common sense is not valid to evaluate if the usage of ergobaby by overweight people is good or not. I'm overweight, I use it, I love it, my legs are way much toned since I use it, and actually by walking more I have lost some weight! :D SO ERGOBABY is PERFECT for OVERWEIGHT PEOPLE. Come on, put that baby on your back and walk :D

    • @erikafies7888
      @erikafies7888 7 лет назад

      Like! I agree! And krish Schmidt, how the hell is it common sense? Makes perfect sense to me to carry a baby however is comfortable.

    I love the back position. My 4 month old weighed 20.2 pounds and just increased each month from there, so the back was always my go too. Currently 6 months 24 pounds. It’s super simple to do. I don’t follow her method though.

      Mine doesn’t sit up unassisted, did yours at 4 months? I really need to back carry to work, and wondered if he really has to be able to sit on his own, he is 5.5 months right niw

    It should mention that your right hand needs to have the strap under it.

    Is it possible to back carry face out?

  • @Julia-mq9sk
    @Julia-mq9sk 3 года назад

    Remember that the baby should be able to sit by him/herself before you back carry in a harness. There are better tutorials out there than this one and safer ways to get your baby on to your back, esp if he/she is moving around alot. Also if this is not comfortable for you/you want better view of your baby, try getting the baby in a higher position by moving the waist band higher up whilst the baby is buckeled in on your back and scooch the baby higher up by releasing the waistband a bit and using one hand under the babys bum and the other pulling the shoulderstrps. It will take weight of your shoulders.

      Hi Rosa. Sorry for your trouble. The back carry takes practice and we recommend practicing over a couch or a bed. Feel free to email us directly at support@ergobaby.com and we can help with some tips. Thank you for your note.

    No thanks.
    Just get something like a Deuter or Osprey for back carrying.
    We love our ergo 360 but there's no way we could do this on our own with our 9 month old.
    Too big, too wriggly.

      Agree. Just bought this. Very Nice carrier, but the back position looks to dangerous to do alone, so im not Even gonna try.

    • @rekaszasz623

      @@annettealmvik I've been carrying my little one on the back since she's 6 months old and no issues at all, and we did a lot of airports, trains, tube, shopping, trains, long walks, hiking in the Lake District (UK), walking tours in Germany. Just give it a go and you'll love it, don't get discouraged by the video. I recommend learning to manoeuvre her in and out over the bed or the couch, that's what I did, once the practice was done I could do it everywhere.

      Considering that pretty much the whole continent of Africa back carries baby's from birth with less fancy equipment than this, I think you and your baby will be fine lol.

      This technique (or similar) of backing the baby has been practiced for centuries by African women who wear their babies. It takes a bit of practice and help at first but it works out in the end. At the same time I guess it's not for everyone.

  • @fastfiddler1625
    @fastfiddler1625 4 года назад +2

    Yeah... This works great if your baby sits still and is compliant with what you're trying to do. Real world though, your kid is probably going to be squirming and trying to get out, in which case, this is way too dangerous.
