Preobrazhensky March - Fife & Drum, Hautbois

- This is a fife and drum arrangement I made of the Russian "Preobrazhensky March", or more properly the "March of the Preobrazhensky Life Guard Regiment". The drums and the harmonizations are made by me, it also features oboes which were a common military instrument in the 18th century.
The image depicts Russian and Swedish armies at the Battle of Lesnaya in 1708, where the Russian army under Peter I (who is seen in the foreground) defeated the forces of Adam Ludwig Lewenhaupt. The painting was made by the French painter Pierre-Denis Martin in the early 18th century.
This music will appear as soundtrack in the upcoming "Seven Years War" mod for Rome Total War. If you want to know more, check out the Discord link or ModDB page below (the Discord is the one most frequently updated). Cheers to the modders for their hard work, I'm happy to be on the team!

I like the effect of using various drums in this arrangement. The rolls are really tight and clean.
Thanks! Yeah, it gives a bit more depth to the sound! :)
just amazing! Keep it up! The first and only recording of Preobrazhensky in such a good quality with drums & fifes
Thanks a lot! It's really encouraging! :)

You should do the Imperial and Royal 12th Nádor Hussars' march@@JGBaroque
An iteresting request, I'll note it down! :)
Done subscribe..👍
Thanks! :)
I feel like this version is bit "lighter", idk it's correct understanding.
"Густота" русских маршей начинается видимо со Светлейшего Князя Потемкина-Таврического.
If you mean the fact that there's no basses or brass instruments, it's because I wanted to recreate what it might have sounded like when played in on the battlefield in the mid-18th century, before the military orchestras were enlarged. :)
@@JGBaroque так это ваша музыкальная обработка, а не живое исполнение оркестра?

Yes, it's an arrangement of mine! The sounds are all computer-generated and I've mixed it together.
