The Super Mario Bros. Movie is a 2023 American computer-animated adventure comedy film based on Nintendo's Mario video game franchise. It features an origin story for the brothers Mario and Luigi, Italian-American plumbers who are transported to an alternate world and become entangled in a battle between the Mushroom Kingdom, led by Princess Peach, and the Koopas, led by Bowser.

In most games, Dry Bones are actually immune to fire. For some reason, they made fire their weakness in the Paper Mario games.
Also, I don't think the worlds actually merged. It was only Bowser's castle and a few mushrooms that were sucked to Brooklyn.

Canonically Mario is actually an American Italian plumber from Brooklyn, he was never from the mushroom Kingdom. Remember the super Mario Bros super show? It's a 1989 cartoon which this movie is kind of based on, before the iconic Charles martinets squeaky stereotypical Mario "it's a me", Mario had a Brooklyn accent to make it more fitting for him since he supposed to be from Brooklyn, which makes sense why they're giving Mario his Brooklyn accent back in this movie as well

but there are toads with different names like chantrelle,
which is an actual mushroom.
so i think she said one of to be safe,
it seems she doesn't know them all very personally,
especially him given she had no idea he'd come.
And even asks mario if he knows toad.
Well toad does say in the movie "I'm toad" to Mario

@@brosnshows Reminds me of the times when my brother and I would make our own recordings at home. During which, on more than one occasion, we'd watch back the recording later, and realize that something that was supposed to be off screen was put into frame by a mirror's reflection.

better late than never me watching your reaction to this very fun movie! wanted to wait until i had the energy to properly comment my thoughts ^^
Lumalee best character!
I really like the movie but i also have two things that bothered me immideately while watching it.
1. They made it a point to make Mario very capable when they're running across Brooklyn to their plumbing job, but at the mushroom kingdom training montage he's suddenly nerfed for no apparent reason.
2. I disagree with the pacing being good to some degree, many of the scenes with Luigi felt like they forcefully cut back to him just because. Not saying they weren't relevant story points but quite a few scenes could've been merged into a lil longer segments with him. Cutting out some of the transitions would make it feel a bit more clean and focused imo.
Additionally my husband that has never been a gamer and not really knowing much about the Mario universe did not have as great of a time watching this movie as I did. Not saying he didn't enjoy and still had some entertainment value from it, but i definitely had the better time and was laughing at a noticable amount of more things because of reference recognition alone.
All that being said i don't regret seeing it in theaters, but i wouldn't recommend non-mario fans to spend that money.
The little candle light thing was by far best character 🤣🤣🤣 okay so if you could add one thing what would it be?? For me I’d have added more Luigi and made Yoshi a talking character!!! I actually loved the Luigi scenes he’s my favorite 🤍
@@brosnshows if they cut some of the transitions and fleshed out the Luigi parts into longer sequences that'd been much better imo.
Just to be clear it's the many transitions themselves that they made that bothered me and felt forced, not the content of the transitioned scenes.
Having additional Luigi like them actually showing how he got captured would be welcomed and maybe fuse that scene with his transportation to the Bowser castle.
Then fuse the hanging in cages scenes into a longer segment as well, maybe a bit more flashback scenes to baby form to cement their importance to each other further. (since they "only" showed Mario sticking up for Luigi, but i'm sure even more heartwarming scenes can be had of them having fun and doing brother things)
As for Yoshi i understand him not being a big part in this movie with what they seem to have planned for next one. (2nd end scene)
First thing I had to do when I clicked on this video was skip ahead to make sure you weren't going to do those voices throughout the entire video. I believe that speaks volumes for how obnoxious it could've been to actually have Charles Martinet doing the voices of the characters in the movie. His voices work for small voice clips in video games, but I really do think they would've gotten annoying throughout the course of a full-length film.

@@brosnshows I'm actually more or less relaying it from other people. I hadn't really thought about it myself at first, but I saw somebody else on another video raise that point months ago, and I wholeheartedly agreed with it, and stand by it as well. Especially with the idea of having seen the movie in theaters, and imagining those voices booming through the auditorium for 90 minutes.
I myself (princess peach) was honestly disappointed in the voice actor casting prior to seeing the movie and after seeing it and reflecting I would have punched myself in the face having to listen to it’s a me Mario voice
@@brosnshows I didn't really have any opinions of the voice cast prior to watching the film. When they first announced the actors, I had never even heard of any of them other than Jack Black prior to that announcement video.
