Couldn't help but notice the lack of an in depth praise for the titan synergies 💀
Hopefully titans get some sort of synergy love in the future. You're spot on about how good hunter and warlock feel though, especially with the class items. I've had more fun buildcrafting on hunter and warlock these past few weeks than I've had in years

What’s kinda funny about titan is the exotic everyone loves rn hazardous propulsion is actually outclassed by second chance bc if you have the facet that makes you radiant on melee hit you get 25% dmg then a 15% weaken for all your weapons and HP is only a 35% to rockets 💀

That's because titan barely has anything right now. All we have is melee builds that are worse than combination blow hunter. Titan needs a rework, but I don't think we'll ever get it as titans are only like 15% of the player base.

Solar warlock is still stronger in end-game team based content in my opinion. Song of flame, hellion, and speaker sights are significant tools added to the kit. Ember of Benevolent, Ember of Empyrean, and Ember of Ashes, together with Touch of Flame aspect (all solar exclusive), create a perpetual loop of sustain, survivability and damage (via more frequent ignitions).

Honestly I hope there's still a legitimate reason to run the other subclasses that aren't Prismatic other than "for fun"'s sake. I love my Broodweaver Warlock and it finally got that weavewalk buff that most people wanted on the aspect. I love Prismatic Warlock a lot, it is extremely fun but it wouldn't feel right for one subclass to complete overshadow the rest.

Prismatic is really nice, it's like a Swiss army knife that I can bring anywhere anytime. But I still find myself going back to normal subclasses for my builds since they'll be a lot more potent in those set ups.

I've been using Prismatic since launch, and it's ROUGH for me to go back to other subclasses as a Warlock. I always wanted to feel like a spell casting wizard and Prismatic is the first time I've ever felt that fantasy in this game. Sunbracers are cool but it feels limited by needing a ceiling to deal a lot of damage where as with Prismatic, I feel like it's a lot more convenient to play with. It's even harder for me to go back to Stasis Warlock (my previous main) after the stasis changes that ruined shards for me.

I like how Prismatic makes gives old things a chance to shine, rather than taking the existing good stuff and elevating it. For example something like Devour + Lightning Surge on Warlock. On arc Lightning Surge is presently deeply mediocre compared to the other two arc aspects.
Arc has some of the DR (at least this season), but none of the healing necessary to survive in close. Tack on a full heal on every kill, an exotic like Crown of Tempests or a class item that has HoIL + Synthos, *3* Lightning Surge attacks courtesy of arcane needle....and all of a sudden Lightning Surge is looking amazing.
Similarly the slowing and decoy dodges on hunter, which normally are hugely overshadowed in pve by the other hunter Strand and Stasis aspects find new life paired with Combination Blow.
Prismatic is a place where aspects that didn't quite land, or don't quite mesh with the existing parts of the subclass kit, but still fit the class and elemental fantasies, can get a second chance to find a build; and that's something I find exciting.

  • @Plem_xo

I've been running the Getaway artist+bleak watcher build (same as every warlock lol) but I've been running Bastion as my Kinetic with Perfect pitch as my primary. Dude it feels insanely good.
For 8 seconds after you melee (powered or not) bastion deals an increased 45% damage per pellet, which is already wild, as well as reducing charge time and increasing reload speed, further increasing overall DPS, and the damage boost doesn't even end there.
Arcane needle unravels targets and makes them take more damage. Plus giving you 3 ranged procs for bastion respectively. Throw on Facet of dawn to become radiant on powered melee hits, you are SHREDDING. Whilst transcendent you do more damage AGAIN whilst refreshing arcane needle charges rapidly, play it right you can buff a full set of ammo and absolutely destroy pretty much anything if you can sit in the right range. Can also run kinetic surge for even more damage. It's strong enough to let me use eager edge as my heavy in any content that isn't GM since mobility is important to me, and not having icarus dash hurts my soul.
Warlock has never felt this good.

As a Warlock main I would say that Prismatic nailed it's place in my loadout list. It cannot replace my favorite and most powerful builds on each of the classes I have (apart from maybe stasis turret build). It nicely takesnot op aspects and exotic perks from other elements and allows to mix some previously lackluster abilities like lightning surge into something truly potent.
However, when it comes to hunter, I think there is a very big issue. And that is the fact that strongest hunter builds (apart from only suspend oriented build) can literally be combined into 1 (combination blow, golden gun, Volatile, even insane dmg resist build). Like when I look at Hunter, I see absolutely no reason to come back to any of the strongest builds on individual subclasses because I get the full gameplay loop on Prismatic without missing out on anything which can't be said about Warlock which came out potent, but other subclasses still have some room to compete.

I still personally run Arcstrider for low-High end content for multiple reasons. VERY high survivability(if you know how to use it) with good general damage output, and having access to one of the best supers in the game(Gathering Storm).
"Lethal Current", specifically, is the deciding factor imo. It's very hard to beat and Prismatic doesn't offer me an Aspect that competes tbh. Executioner is great, but the add clear potential is limited(even with Spirit of Caliban).
Lethal Current Jolts targets on melee-hit, with a damaging aftershock that triggers the chain-lightning. Meleeing that same target, or any Jolted target also Blinds them, which mean that any non-boss level target cannot fight back. Combine this with Liar's Handshake and you get health for every Cross-Counter you land.
I haven't even talked about Flow State or any of the Fragments, such as Beacons, Instinct, Feedback, and Frequency.
Prismatic Hunter may or may not outperfom in total damage(haven't tested), but Arcstrider's survivability + add clear is unmatched in the long run imo.
Or who knows, maybe I'm just biased lol. Been an Arc Hunter main for the last 10 years.

    • @life-destiny1196
      @life-destiny1196 Месяц назад

I kinda hate to say "think for yourself" because if everyone had an encyclopedic knowledge of the whole game this would be a very different community, but you're gonna have to improvise. At 64 combinations per class, with some synergizing and others not so much, setting up 192 builds would just be way too much.
My advice on that specific roll is that I'm not a big fan of Spirit of Renewal. Usually the way I use Duskfield is that I chuck it into a pack of enemies I don't want to deal with (maybe a Barrier Servitor is there or something) and then get to cover until they freeze. So I wouldn't really be benefiting from either of the defensive benefits it provides. If I throw it at my own feet, I'm either trading my grenade cooldown for a few seconds of some DR (which doesn't feel great), or there are enemies on top of me and I'm using it as a panic button--in which case it's a pretty good panic button, but why did I put myself in a situation to need it in the first place? You'd sort of need a build for Hunter that justifies diving into close range with a pack of dangerous enemies, and the best way to accomplish that is Grapple, which is mutually exclusive with Duskfield.
On the other hand, Star-Eater is just sort of generically good. More super damage is always welcome. The problem with that is, unless you have a really good other column to justify having it (maybe Assassin or Galanor), Celestial Nighthawk exists. Neutral-game exotics like Assassin's Cowl exist. Lucky Pants exists. You could use Orpheus Rig to get your tether back (since you don't have Spirit of Galanor to do that).
So basically: farm a few more cloaks and let your imagination run wild.

Quite a few of the most fun exotics don't work with prismatic, because the respective ability isn't featured. It is literally the jack of all trades, master of some? So it can either feel diluted or broken. Like an overly complex gimmick that ruins the balance of the game. They've already taken away quite a bit of class identity before, now subclass identity is blurred, too. (And don't get me started on that stupid mini-raid exotic mission, that prevents me from even unlocking the class items, because Bungie playtesters clearly all sit in the same room where they can leisurely talk to each other. Why would they see a problem with that mission?)

If I could make a suggestion to Bungie in regards to a potential Destiny 3:
_In the future, change Prismatic to be a part of each individual Light and Dark subclass, so that we can have Transcendence on ALL Builds. This way, we can make build crafting more in depth, by allowing us the toys of the other elements while at the same time allowing us to specialize in any single element._
So a Prismatic Gunslinger would have the full suite of Hunter Solar and Prismatic options, but then a Prismatic Nightstalker would have the full suite of _Void_ and Prismatic options, and so on and so forth…
Also, word is that Bungie IS going to be making a third proper Darkness subclass (mostly because the lack of symmetry between the 3 light and 2 Dark subclasses is annoying them), and that it’s either going to be Red (related to Nezarac’s Nightmares) or Yellow (where we’d tap into the golden Resonance The Witness and it’s personal forces have been using since Witch Queen).

Running GMs this weekend with Prismatic I honestly think Titans and Warlocks are the best for endgame. Hunter has been alright. On people saying Prismatic Titans have been weak, I think most just got stuck in the initial pre-GM impressions of the Subclasses where Hunter and Warlock 'dominated' and Titan felt underwhelming, but the toolset of Titan I think are very impressive, while the overhyped Punchy Hunter has been a joke in glassway TBH - the amount of naive Hunters I encountered that I just kept reviving over and over were just everywhere in my rando LFGs (but that probably has more to do with people not being smart with the playstyle than the Subclass itself).
My biggest takeaway from seeing Prismatic in endgame - VERY flexible in utility, and far Superior selection of Supers (AKA Twilight Arsenal and Song of Flame) than their mono counterparts in Arc, Stasis and Strand. It makes Arc and Stasis feel outmoded by Prismatic.

    • @life-destiny1196
      @life-destiny1196 Месяц назад

Yeah, it depends a lot on context. Hunter can do silly amounts of boss damage with both the Still Hunt/Nighthawk setup and the Stylish/Tether/Grapple/12p setup, but I think people laser-focused on that due to the raid race results (where the design of the final encounter basically required stacking Still Hunt/Nighthawk to meet the DPS check). Combination Blow I think is kinda overhyped in group settings--unlike the Arcstrider version of the build, the AOE just isn't there on Prismatic. By the time you've dodged twice to get a shatter off, your teammates have blown the adds up, or the adds have blown you up! Makes more sense for solo content though, you have a lot more control over the situation.
Titan is still very very good at blowing up yellow bars, and Warlock has potent CC and support, and both of those things are very relevant in GMs.

I agree with you all but I think the current reception and state of prismatic kind of proves how there is already little reason to return to other subclasses. Titans return to strand, void, and solar for the obvious benefits of the three that can't be found in their prismatic kit while, as detailed in the video, warlocks maybe return to solar for well and hunters already really have no advantage to looking back outside of highly niche encounters.
Besides, from Bungie's own standpoint, they now have to wrap any new subclass into prismatic to maintain the idea of it and can use "additions" to the prismatic kit from other kits whenever they need to increase the power fantasy without taking too many resources away from their usual road map.
All in all, I get that prismatic having access to everything is seen as op, but the longer this game continues, the more inevitable it becomes.
