Hi thanks for this reaction. I guess Going Seventeen Ep 60 and 61 Talk Get-Together would be great next. It's an episode about them talking about personal life etc. no script. At first they will gather as one group, then they will be divided into 2 groups and lastly, they will be into group of 4. I guess this is the best episode for you. Can't wait for next upload!

    Funfact:
S.coups IS the leader. However his leading style is to let the guys run off do their thing and call them back if things go wrong.
S.coups fights for his members and demanded essential stuff for his members when the directors didn't want to give it to them. He attends the director's meetings to hear what is going on in the company so he can plan accordingly for the team. He is the silent, but proud dad. He can goof off, but does feel the pressure of being the team leader.
Hoshi is the teamleader of the performance team (dance, visuals)
S.coups is also the team leader of the hip hop team
Woozi is the leader of the vocal unit

Yes DK is really such a bright and honest person. The other members always say he's too pure for this world.
As for S.Coups, he's actually said himself that he's not a natural leader. While he's fiercely protective and has this strong, intimidating aura, he's in fact not the type to voluntarily stand out. He'd much rather let himself be led, sit back and enjoy his time.
But that actually works really well for a group like Seventeen, where multiple members can and want to take the lead in different situations (Seungkwan in variety shows, Woozi in music, Hoshi and Dino in performing, Mingyu in visual arts and merch etc...). S.Coups had a really hard time when he was first appointed as leader because he tried to be on top of everything. But he's since learned that it's much better, for both him and the team, to let the other members lead and only step in when it's needed (usually when things get too chaotic or lack direction, or to make sure everyone gets heard in group discussions etc...). Since he's also very protective and combative, he's also the best candidate to represent the group in discussions with the company, because he'll make sure that the group's needs and demands are satisfied.

      @ingridk7060 2 года назад +35

Yea the members are all really conscious of including them! They’re also pretty dang good at Korean - The8 gets a lot of attention from korean netizens because of how naturally he uses Korean puns, play-on-words, and obscure references, to the point that “if he really Chinese?” is a running joke

In earlier days, Jun and The8 (Chinese members) have a more difficult time to contribute to the conversation. Now, Jun makes the best Korean jokes and a tons of pick-up lines, and whatever The8 says is 🔥 He is great at roasting other members. Joshua shared in an interview that he enjoyed writing 2 minus 1 with Vernon because English is his first language, and it is harder for him to contribute to writing the Korean lyrics

Seventeen has this thing where they will always gather and discuss with each other whenever they have an argument or disagreement with each other, anytime when a discussion is necessary, even if it's just between 2 members, they will make sure all of them are involve in the gathering to talk. When they were rookies, they do this everynight, but now it's only when it's necessary. I think that's why they can make a decision quickly

    • @alera27

I thought this was a big reason as to why as well. Seventeen made sure to be as open to each other as possible right from the start of their careers, and I think it's why until now no one has left and they all are close and have such deep relationships with each other.

About S.Coups, he did a super interesting interview in 2018 about his role as a leader in Seventeen, how they resolve fights and their relationship as friends and coworkers. I highly recommend it if you want deeper insight into S.Coups as a person as well as his leadership style. It's called "I'm the leader" and should pop up if you search"S.Coups 181024 I'm the leader".

I actually cried that part when dk jump, the boys waited for him for 30min n went to him after the bungee jump.
u also mentioned that maybe if they were in other groups, they'd be the most energetic. it's quite funny bc a lot of them r introverted. they just bring eo the best n these boys r really comfortable w eo.
i stan a lot of group before but seventeen's relationship is pretty one of a kind for me. as what jeonghan ( or t was hoshi who said in my memory), rather than describing them being a family, its actually like a bestest of friends u can meet and catch up for a lifetime.

I always say, whatever system Seventeen has when it comes to communicating with each other, they seem to have it down. As loud an chaotic it can get when all 13 of them are in a room, they do know when to dial it back and let everyone have a turn to say what they want and what's on their mind. This way, they all have a voice and don't have to have their own choices held back. And I think that's why they work so well together and stick together after so many years, because they get heard and get their opinions out there and aren't stuck wondering the "what ifs" when it comes to creative choices/direction. And I think being a large group, they're just accustomed to going along with whatever idea is the best quickly, hence why they seem to quickly jump ship on their own idea if someone else's idea seems better and more agreed upon.

I love dk and I love his humor… his genuine fear this episode always makes me sympathetic because frankly that would be me if I ever had to do bungee jumping ahah… I’m sure there was a mental conversation going on in his head about having to do it for the sake of the show… I’m genuinely just super proud of him for facing it cause I’m not sure I could have in that situation. I probably would have psyched myself out and then gotten upset at myself for showing that weak side to the camera…. Some things that your comfortable sharing with friends and family, like genuine fears, can be difficult to show to a billion online unknown viewers-

I think what you're seeing with Scoups is maybe not that he isn't as in on the banter but like you say where Seungkwan is good at taking it Scoups is a little more sensitive lol and he's known for "sulking". Also other Carats can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think in this particular episode was his first time back after going on a long hiatus to deal with some personal issues so maybe it's just left over "vibes" from that?

scoups is a silent leader and does a lot more behind the scenes stuff for the group, when it comes to variety, he's recognized that other members are better at "talking" and will just sit back and watch fondly. and if i had to assume, some of the episodes from 2020 were filmed right when he got back from his hiatus, so i wouldn't be surprised if he was more subdued and wanted to take things a bit easier. he shines a lot later in the season and on episodes focused on athletic ability (lets go svt, going vs seventeen etc)

Like they are able to accept it because at the end of the day, they know that they are loved. and they've been together for so long, they probably know the limits to their teasing and just naturally tease each other within boundaries. i think it's like how im totally okay with my brother insulting me bc i know he's still very protective of me and love me a lot, but if my friends say the same thing to me, ill probably feel really insulted LOL

if you want to watch them in smaller groups, i rec GOING episode "Christmas in August"!!! They're in three teams of four (and one of five) and they're trying to complete three different video games!! It's one of the more popular episodes and I absolutely love it!!!

if you'd like to see their dynamics when divided into smaller groups, you might want to check out going seventeen episodes 60 and 61, they were separated into smaller groups to pretty much just talk (while drinking)

It’s Jun and THE8 who are Chinese!
    Joshua is Korean-American.
And yeah the communication is still though but that could be to their chill and introverted personalities as well, because after they came back from solo schedules(it was during the bowling episodes and I believe the sequel to Ver-paddy)and they had to adjust to GoSe they were already out of it😆seventeen also noticed it and had SM poking at them

They teasing a lot especially in going seventeen. But if you want to, you can react to Seventeen In The Soop (can put in on patreon ) bcs they really shows the brotherhood between them and its really heartwarming. They became more relaxed in that programme bcs the main purpose of that programme is for them to take rest from their work. Other than that, you can react to Debate Night series(Going Seventeen). Thank you again for seventeen reaction!!

Maybe you can react to "inside seventeen" next to see how they communicate with each other while working. Because some of those videos are the behind the scenes of their dance practices, and basically just the inside of their work. Or maybe u can also react to going seventeen from 2019 when they created the gose opening and closing song. Just a thought lol. Loved ur analysis btw, hope u can learn more about the members soon!

It's really interesting to see how SVT interact with each other, and I love your analysis of them.
I recommend these episodes that was worth to do an analysis:
    (1) 2020 EP.39 CARNIVAL
    ruclips.net/video/Mq6hMskza_c/видео.html
There were some cringe moments but SVT made it interesting, and the last part they just gathered together, praised each other, showed their appreciation. That was really a warm moment.🥰
    (2)EP.51 Know Thyself
    ruclips.net/video/YHcNShpF4Uo/видео.html
SVT did the MBTI test but not by themselves. It was done by other members. It was funny to see how other members think of one specific member. On one hand we can see they know each other a lot, on the other hand, there were some chaotic moments we can enjoy lol.🤣
