Driver captures apocalyptic scenes during drive through California wildfire

- A driver captured apocalyptic scenes on Tuesday, Aug. 18 as he drove through the the Hennessey Fire on Highway 128 and Steele Canyon Road in Napa County, Calif.
The fire is one of many burning across the state and the Hennessey blaze is part of a larger group of fires known as the LNU Lightning Complex, which have prompted evacuation orders for two countries in northern California as firefighters work to contain the blaze. The Hennessey Fire has burned more than 105,000 acres and is zero per cent contained.
A tow truck driver on Wednesday, Aug. 19 also filmed himself as he went door to door in Vacaville, Calif. to urge residents to evacuate as "the fire is here" and offer his help, according to reports.
The Sonoma Sheriff's department also released video of aircraft working on Thursday, Aug. 20 to battle the Walbridge Fire, which had grown from 20,000 acres to 21,125 acres on Friday and is zero per cent contained.

We are all going through this. Just because we don't live in California doesn't mean we are not affected in some way. Everything that happens that has some environmental impact happens to everybody. As a species we needed to realize this to take collective action against climate change. It's past the stipulated deadline now but we still haven't taken enough collective action.

I’m really hoping by the end of 2020 everything doesn’t look like this at this rate. I hope everyone out that way makes it out ok and is safe.
2020 is just a trailer for the whole decade!
While this place is burning, I'm in an area under threat of Hurricane Laura and I live 10 hours inland in Louisiana. Been living inland for 30 years, been living in my anchored double-trailer for about 12 years or so and survived Hurricane Rita. Our house can withstand a category 3 hurricane and 60 mph straight wind speed, which is separate from 60 mph gusts.
Laura is gonna hit us with 80 mph and higher 10 hours inland. I never, ever, EVER had to evacuate while being this far inland in my 30 years of living in Louisiana. There's an extremely high chance I'm gonna have to evacuate now. The vehicles are ready and filled with gas. Dogs' meds are ready. My husband's meds are ready. His elderly parents are ready as they're coming with us.
This really is a situation where your valuables is your life, your family and your pets. Everything I worked so hard for is gonna be left behind and I hope it's still gonna be here when I get back.
Keep voting in people that can't run a city let alone a State and it'll continue to get worse.

@@davidjohn8056 lowkey california prolly is getting divine punishment
@Marshall Kinnaird What you're proposing is impossible, there's millions of acres of forest to comb through, there's no way they'd find every single fuel source before a fire does. Not to mention California is SUPPOSED to burn, its ecology depends on wildfire to encourage propagation.
@@TheMuffinBurgler Controlling, does not mean making sure that no fire takes place anymore. Forest fires are actually pretty important for the land and forests, they are part of the natural law. Burning bushes and thinning parts of the forests' thou, can control the size of the damage and were the fire goes. It may surprise you, but generally, trees have water in them, and don't burn down easily. Is the dried bushes and vegetation that burn and spread the fire... So if those are gone, there will be nothing to burn down the forest. So all we have to do, is to control the burning of that dried vegetation, following a structure that would prevent fires from spreading to large areas, and more importantly populated areas.
@Marshall Kinnaird Clearcutting negatively impacts the natural balance of fire activity. Clearcutting releases large quantities of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, thus accelerating the pace of climate change. In turn, climate change is raising temperatures that increase the frequency and intensity of forest fires.
This more than breaks my heart. I pray everyone is safe...

The word "apocalyptic" has never been used more than nowadays. And the penny is not dropping. So I guess we ain't seen nothing yet.
Dec 21 shift happens
We really haven't, people don't understand just how scary nature can be. This is nothing compared to what the earth has seen in the past.
@@TheShadowBannedBandit Thanks for that comment. Has the earth often or ever seen it all at the same time? Fires, floods, locusts, famines, pestilences, craters opening, political and social upheaval? What is so scary this time, is that we SEE it. It are not some far away stories (Bible: "When you see all these things happening...").
Ben Hurs Social and political upheaval isn’t really relevant to what earth does, I view humanities actions and the events of Mother Nature has two distinct types of calamity where nature is much worse. While it is scary now because we see it, that doesn’t mean that it still isn’t minor relatively speaking. Humanity almost went extinct from a volcanic eruption once, granted we weren’t as technologically advanced then however the eruption also wasn’t as big as earth can produce. My point is, we haven’t seen anything yet; nature is just now rearing her head again and we can’t even tank the playful jabs
@@TheShadowBannedBandit Thanks a lot for your reaction and explanation. The world in general and the USA in particular is going towards such a division, that ears are closing up for any empathy for or understanding of an other - which promises such hell on earth (I live in Spain, I know what a civil war between neighbours is like), that I would not want to contribute to that. I right WANT to understand others, and have conversations like these.
Probably you and me are not far off, merely capture it in different words or lines of thinking.
What you say makes total sense to me. To me, since 2 years only from the God Squad, the Bible is merely this what puts it in certain words and concepts, this which destroys and what builds, why, what the plan is, what the survival techniques are etc.
2 stands for division, 20 for end of an era, there are 19 years between a first warning shot on an Empire and its final destruction, and so, so much more. A sort of clever programming or discovery there of, just as in burning bushes or an opening sea, I instantly think of EMP. These were reasons why on January 1st I was ready as a paratrooper :) and am bracing myself for October.
Now I'm very much into languages (learned 5, and a dozen more I can follow) and sometimes I wonder if this is the reason why I can "understand" Biblicese :) or images and concept of forefathers.
Well, what do I know. All I see is this sense of a terrible calamity flying at us, and the desire to be one who then, when it happens, to be a bridge, help, support, and in order to do so, read as much as possible "survival guides", mainly the ones written by ancestors in rough times and with the wisdom of thousands of years. I wish you a very good day, differences are GREAT, and the things that help us on a path towards wisdom.
