No there ain’t 15 layers boys . Check her live first take Tracks , unlasting and gurrenge . Then compare them to the MV versions .. her voice is phenomenal , she’s classified as japans j pop / j rock queen … you will honestly be eating humble pie at her vocal ability , she’s had plaudits from many vocal coach reactions that hold her in nothing but the highest esteem and praise . For example .. ‘gurrenge’ the first take has over 100m views on RUclips alone …

    • @Clocken_Lorn
      @Clocken_Lorn Год назад +2

True, while I agree this is studio version. 15 is pushing it. I feel like it was around 5-10 at most. The most obvious one is some flanger in her voice.
Her 1 stack voice is incredible already.

There are layers in her part but are like less than 10 or 5, she does it often

    • @mikelucas-rg2gu

@@prinics416 which is natural for a production recording . But the ways these guys are talking , they implied it’s heavily synthesised when it’s no where near . You only have to hear adamas and crossingfield as well as gurrenge at her concerts to know . She’s got two Netflix specials that showcase her performances live . I’d rather they see those than just make baseless claims

There are several layers and it's actually very easy to hear some of them as some play canon while she sings. Has nothing to do with how skilled she is, she is an outstanding singer and that's why the layers sum well and make the part even more epic. I'm not a professional to know how many layers there are, but definitely there are some.
Also it was not something against her vocals, they said there are layers not that she uses autotune and praised how well it lays I think people are mistaken the meaning of what they said.

20:11 YES. We have a running joke that Bang chan's laptop has their whole retirement plan in it because Chan already had a lot of songs predebut (in their survival show, he easily pulls out alot of choices for them to polish 😂) Then you add Changbin and Han with him, then there's just a flood of songs to choose from. And even the remaining five have their own ideas with their solos. Even their latest song, Super Bowl was an option for release 3 years ago... which meant the song was even older than that. It's just polishing and intuition on the timing of its release when it comes to Stray Kids.

  • @GolyenHighway
    @GolyenHighway Год назад +22

Ok. Chan has talked about how he wrote the lyrics about his years as a trainee. Since he was a trainee for 7 years, he has seen a lot of mental suffering watching all his friends either debut without him, or get dropped from the programs.
LiSA is a Japanese singer who does a LOT of anime openings & stuff. Most notably an opening for Demon Slayer, and Sword Art Online. She has been putting out awesome music for around 11 years. Chan has always looked up to her & the Kids were very excited to collaborate with her.
Let's see. Things I noticed in the MV.
-The bag people seem to be representative of both faceless people who are both worshiping & hating at the same time, or inner doubts & thoughts that come when they are alone.
-I.N is the first to stand against the tide of people & grasp the light.
-Everyone stays isolated till Chan gets taken by the hands. They all had separate things happening. Being isolated, being stared at, being forced to constantly run, being chained in one place, etc. Then Chan is taken & they are suddenly moving.
-LiSA seems to be a unified voice leading them in a direction. She has the lines " the ashes to prove my passion burning endlessly" (Or close to it....I am horrible at remembering exact lyrics)
-When they are unified & moving against the crowds, the ones who are most able to withstand pressure without flinching are in the lead. (Lee Know, and Changbin are the most obvious at the front making a path for the others)
-When they reach the wall Chan had been trapped against, they tear it open. There is only 7 of them when this happens....They are going through to reach Chan. (Chan has said in multiple instances that the other members have saved him. If it wasn't for them, he doesn't even think he would be on this planet)
-When they are 8 is the only time you see them smile.
-There are shadowy hands that are trying to touch Changbin in the beginning, and just as he wakes up you see clawed hands reflected in his eyes/the moon.
-Felix's wing actually kinda seems slightly separate from him. Almost as if he has a guardian angel protecting him. It lifts & reveals him a little before starting to cover him again.
-In the final dance scene, the only ones with no red in their outfit are Chan, Changbin, and Felix. I listened to someone explain that the colours kinda mean something. LiSA has a strong red & black theme. She seems to represent courage & determination. The others have red in their outfits because they gained those from outside sources. (Like the other members, or helpful people) The three who have no red are ones who already had those and didn't get them from an outside source. Changbin & Felix are the least effected during the MV. Felix already had an inner fire, and Changbin refused the shadowy hands. Chan was taken, but he didn't stop trying to escape. There are many flashes of Chan staring ahead, or jerking awake & not just allowing himself to be swallowed. You see him float above the people who took him, until the others break through to him.

Another observation I’ve made… when they’re chained up, they’re not “imprisoned”… they’re locked in a PRISM. I think is shows how they were being held hostage by their art until they found each other and their sound too.

Those moving walls were a set design.
This is Chans story of his journey as a K-pop star. Not only is there a story in the lyrics there is also a story in the video that correlates but if you didn't know Chan you would miss it. When Chan is above the haters and doubters you can see him rising, then you see the boys breaking through the crowd and tearing down the wall to save him. Chan had often said if it wasn't for the boys he would not be in this earth. He was in a dark place and they literally saved him.

SKZ has a lot of unreleased songs, other songs from recent albums are made 2-3 years ago. They select songs that would suit their albums themes. Every member is also composing, they're amazing ❤

3RACHA have said that they actually rarely, if ever, scrap songs. So, yes, they have a LOT of unreleased music (much of which they spoil, including a song off this EP, Butterflies, which Stays have been waiting a YEAR to hear in full), however those are still finished songs that will probably be released some day in some capacity. Whether as a title or a B-Side or a solo song or a SKZ-Record or whether they give it to another artist. It's all happened before. They've given songs to other artists, they've had songs they've written as solos turn into full group tracks, the double title for this EP, Superbowl, was actually a song that had originally been one of the title tracks they wrote for Go Live. Of course, God's Menu is the title we ended up with, but we got Superbowl eventually. So I'd honestly argue that Title Tracks are really the only time they actually write songs with an intended goal, otherwise they just write a song and see where it ends up.

The fact that 3racha, the producers unit of Stray Kids produced their tracks way back 2, 3 and 4 years before they released the songs. No wonder each of the producers members have at least 100++ tracks under their sleeves. That did not include the unreleased songs yet.
They will make another comeback album for this year end festive season.

As good as they are at everything, and their own production and what they self-produce, 3racha is a genius at this. And bangchan is a genius in all these productions and how can he come up with so much. Stray kids are the best, they always surprise us with everything they bring us. I love their reactions and it would be nice if they reacted to more of them.

I love this song so much! SKZ rarely have featured artists, this is just the second time, but each time it is amazing, SKZ collabs truly complement and suit both artists involved.
LiSA is extremely popular in Japan and is famous internationally primarily among anime fans, because she did many OSTs to popular animes. She is amazing and Chan is a huge fan of hers.
I would say this song has strong jpop vibes, which makes sense since it is a japanese release. It does go in line with some previous SKZ releases, especially "top", I would say.
The lyrics reflects Chan's experience as a trainee.

Bang Jae-yeob directs the vast majority of Stray Kids videos and many othet kpop artist MV ( not sure that he did this one though!!)... but learn his name !!. Alongside Shin Woo-seok (director for most New Jeans MVs) they are the big MV Director names at the moment...

Give a recording video for this group a watch. It's amazing to follow their process.
Like everyone says, Bang Chan wrote the lyrics reflecting on his personal journey as an idol. The imagery of the m/v really matches the tone of the song. It can be bleak and lonely, but it's about how one chooses to go forward despite the adversity. 10/10 and this is pure 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I had to laugh when you first thought it would be Lalisa... surprise. Stray Kids are HUGE anime fans and have referenced different anime & gamers on other tracks! Also their tracks "TOP" and "Slump" are the opening and ending OST for the series Tower of God. Being anime & gaming guys, they likely have mad respect for LiSA who is an award winning artist & were honored (probably geeking out ) on having her on this track. The song featured her perfectly! I love her combined vocals with all the members in that last section & especially love that they are rapping/singing in English and Japanese! Her voice is no joke, I even listen to the entire intro & credits to SA Online without fast forwarding.. lol

Auto tune is not the same as Layering. Stray Kids do occasionally make use of auto tune, but only for effect or fun at concerts.
Layering is part of sound production. Like construction, building up the sound for impact. I hope this helps.

For future reference, if they (or any other kpop group) feature a Korean artist who's a member of an existing group (like Lalisa), the credits will reflect that: "ft Lisa of Blackpink" or "ft Blackpink's Lisa" or the like.
LiSA has a phenomenal voice untouched. Yes, there's layering, of course -- it's a studio recording. But no, there's nowhere near 15 layers. She's also basically a legend in Japan (and in several circles beyond), not a minor-league artist, and that natural powerhouse voice is a large part of why.
They write songs almost literally constantly. Even just a few days ago, Han was complaining in the middle of the night that it had taken him several hours to write the song he was polishing (then eight minutes later he came back on and basically went "Ok, wow, that took me almost ten minutes. Slowing down these days, yo.") They write (and sometimes demo and record) songs in hotel rooms on tour. They write songs on vacation. They make songs up on the spot when given a beat. And they don't discard anything. It's widely known (to the point that it's a huge fandom meme) that Chris's laptop contains literally _hundreds_ of unreleased beats and full songs, and Han's and Changbin's phones are similarly loaded with hundreds of lyrics and raps and themes. Sometimes we'll get a song immediately after it's written -- other times, we'll get it after it's been sitting on The Laptop for three years or more. 3RACHA are in the top 15 of producers (and youngest members of KOMCA, and in possession of 163, 140, 137 credits, blah blah blah) for a reason. They're producers to the core, and they're in the producing side of the industry for the long haul. They keep their absurd and ever-growing amount of songs on hand for whenever the right day comes, and they fit songs into the album (or single or whatever) rather than trying to build songs _around_ the album.
