I had this incredibly vivid dream in December where he and I were sitting together, our hands and fingers intertwined. He looked at me and said, “I see all the coincidences now, all the correlations.” I’ve been feeling him coming in and out a lot lately.
I haven't watched yet. I generally understand why they are afraid of their emotions and the intensity of the connection with the DF and even the instinct to run... What I don't understand is why they continue to stay in miserable and/or toxic situations fully knowing they are unhappy/depressed/suffering and knowing their DF is there for them. It boggles my mind. As someone who walked away from a 10 year marriage completely blind as to what the future held, I just can't wrap my head around why they stay.

I was in a period of separation and no communication with my DM. He had me blocked on everything for about a month and then little by little I noticed he started unblocking me. My 12 year old daughter’s father committed suicide last week and when that happened, I contacted DM. He did respond right away and has made himself available to support me since then via phone/text. I am going through one of the worst things I can imagine with my daughter because she was living with her father at the time. My DMs children are all adults and pretty much self sufficient. There are really no reasons left for why he isn’t leaving his wife. I am wondering if you can help me understand how even complete tragedy isn’t enough for him to want to be physically present for the DF. I asked him this and he made some nonchalant comments about being scared still of the future. It’s almost like he can’t even grasp the level of tragedy I’m coping with.. if he is my sacred partner how can he let another day go by where I have to face this nightmare all by myself?
