When I said just another super rookie, you knew that all the eleven supernovas appeared at Marineford, but didn't join in the battle. If you read the manga, the marines knew that it was Trafalgar Law who aided Luffy, and during the timeskip, Law had done numerous shit and finally got himself in a place of 440 million bounty. He then join the marines to get the case closed by sending 100 pirates' hearts to the marines. WB on the other hand, wasn't intending to do shit, till they hurt Ace.
that freaking ost at 0:20 is o freaking amazing and it fits PERFECTLY in this scene.. this scene is actually way cooler when u see what happens before.. SPOILER ALERT luffy has been in impel down beaten almost to death came back with the same tension hormone which is recommened not to use also recommended to use at least only once. he reaches marine ford he is lying on the ground unable to move literally.. then same tension hormone is used.. the epic scream makes it so much more cooler with the ost this truly gives me goosebumps everytime!

No, they kept his defeat of Moria secret, as well as the release of other prisons in level 6 like Crocodile. Buggy was also considered an instigator of the break-in along him (instead of him alone). "Leading the war" also seems a bit overblown. Considering how much was needed to protect and enhance him. Like the Iva's hormones, Ace's life, Marco's overseeing, and Jinbe and Law's rescue. Even Hancock helped against Smoker. Like Granny said, he was an ant, just with a big name in the war.

This moment is just as epic as when Luffy gets back up and uses Gear 2nd against Lucci after he got hit by Lucci's Rokuogan for the last time. Every time i read this scene in volume 58 i hear Luffy's scream from the anime and think of how all of Luffy's effort to save Ace were in the end useless. Just thinking about that makes me feel empty on the inside.

If you hadn't noticed, Luffy could only take down till the maximum rank of "Vice Admirals", he couldn't lay a finger towards the three admirals back then.

500 million is too much. Ace himself has a 650 million bounty, and most likely Luffy's bounty won't be increasing, rather much, I'd expect Zoro and Sanji's bounty to increase. We don't know about Shanks, but since he's a Yonkou, his bounty should be at least 750 million. And Dragon's bounty should be the highest now, since Whitebeard is down. As the head of the Revolutionary, his bounty should be close to Roger's, which we do not know.
still Luffy's bounty should be higher than all the supernovas,500 million should be the right bounty or even more, just think about breaking in and out from Impel Down (his the first person to do it because Lion was already in),D. Moria and leading the war should be enough to give him 500 M.
Haki isn't all he lacked. He said himself that Rayleigh said he was a sloppy fighter. The Admirals and many higher ups in the Marine also have Haki, and years more worth of experience with it than Luffy too. Caesar is weaker than Law and he could have killed Luffy easily but instead locked him in a cage. Until the movie comes out you can't say for sure how Z will be defeated and if Luffy defeats him we can say for sure he is weaker than Akainu, Kizaru and Aokiji. Luffy isn't admiral level.
Having Haki does not make luffy on their level, lol. Even if he could hit them, it would have little to no effect. Also, look back at the war, how many times did you see luffy actually trying to hit an admiral with his fists. None right? Lucci compared gear 2 as a form of steroid. Any normal human's heart would explode from that amount of exertion in Gear 2. His rubber body may be capable of handling the energy necessary, but its still highly stressful on his system. Likely due from an accelerated heart rate and extreme body temperature. The steam that pours off him is actually sweat that is evaporating due to how hot he is.

Well I don't think it's a spoiler to say that everyone accomplishes their dreams; Zoro defeats Mihawk (Possibly becoming a Shichibukai?) Robin learns the true history Usopp's One is rather hard tho. I think he would end up becoming a captain of his own crew, of 8000 men, and all of his lies would come true. And of course Luffy becomes Pirate king. But in my opinion I think he would die exactly the same way as Roger did (execution) and have a child.

Hate to break it to you, but I predict that Luffy will die at the end of One Piece, though not in the exact same way as Roger. My prediction is that Luffy will wage a war against the WG and the Navy(presumably to save one of his nakama from execution), and while he would eventually die from his wounds(on top of the crap that's already killing him), he would take an insane amount of punishment before he dies, just like WB did. And even when he DOES die, he will not fall.

Argh, lets bring this argument to a close, #1 Luffy's abilities (post-timeskip) have not been revealed to a great extent so his true strength remains unknown, we can guess all we want but we won't know until he gets into a fight where his abilities are tested to the extremes. All in all there is no point saying weither or not he could beat the admirals because he hasn't had the chance, basically quit arguing over a moot point. Until it happens don't act like you know any better than the creators
Except the admirals. Post timeskip Luffy is still not able to deal with someone like Sakazuki. He'd probably be able to deal with almost any vice admiral that came his way(READ: Not Garp), but admirals would still be out of his league. Even Whitebeard's finest had issues with the admirals. If Luffy tried to fight the admirals even after 2 years worth of level grinding, he'd be basically walking into a slaughter that would get Ace killed trying to save him from Akainu.
It's just not fair to Smoker to make him akin to a mere Vice Admiral given what we know of him. Mr Youssef though I dont agree with his reasoning seems more justified as he's pertaining Smoker as Sengoku a man as strong as Garp. But the fact remains Smoker has cornerd luffy multiple times and has so far never lost to him this is already similar to Garp, so his connection is more obvious than any with Sengoku or Aokiji who should have been far below Roger at the time

If you read the manga, the marines knew that it was Trafalgar Law who aided Luffy, and during the timeskip, Law had done numerous shit and finally got himself in a place of 440 million bounty. He then join the marines to get the case closed by sending 100 pirates' hearts to the marines. WB on the other hand, wasn't intending to do shit, till they hurt Ace.

luffy has been in impel down beaten almost to death came back with the same tension hormone which is recommened not to use also recommended to use at least only once. he reaches marine ford he is lying on the ground unable to move literally.. then same tension hormone is used.. the epic scream makes it so much more cooler with the ost

@chocochoco95 Unfair? Lifes not fair. Luffy learned that when he lost Ace, Nami learned that when her mom was gunned down infront of her, as did the rest of the Strawhats. But they all suceeded in moving on. This was an important lesson for Luffy to learn and he had to have learned it sooner or later: Lifes not fair, we deal with it or we let it consume us.

Wrong again, basically Luffy managed to reach the top because the others had helped him, even Garp, who pretended to have been defeated. Luffy's bounty is already considered very high. Bounties are not given to show how powerful the pirate is, it's about how they caused trouble to the marines.
No, they kept his defeat of Moria secret, as well as the release of other prisons in level 6 like Crocodile. Buggy was also considered an instigator of the break-in along him (instead of him alone). "Leading the war" also seems a bit overblown. Considering how much was needed to protect and enhance him. Like the Iva's hormones, Ace's life, Marco's overseeing, and Jinbe and Law's rescue. Even Hancock helped against Smoker. Like Granny said, he was an ant, just with a big name in the war.

This moment is just as epic as when Luffy gets back up and uses Gear 2nd against Lucci after he got hit by Lucci's Rokuogan for the last time. Every time i read this scene in volume 58 i hear Luffy's scream from the anime and think of how all of Luffy's effort to save Ace were in the end useless. Just thinking about that makes me feel empty on the inside.
Those of us who read the manga know damn well what Luffy can do. He'd still lose to Akainu, Aokiji and Kizaru. He's also still outclassed by many of the Shichibukai.

Wrong. The Marines did not know of Luffy and Shikki's battle, and it doesn't do shit, because it's not messing with the Marines, Shikki Pirates are just another Pirate crew. Luffy merely participated in the war, his bounty which increased to 400 million is a big deal for interfering with the Whitebeard war. If you hadn't noticed, Luffy could only take down till the maximum rank of "Vice Admirals", he couldn't lay a finger towards the three admirals back then.

500 million is too much. Ace himself has a 650 million bounty, and most likely Luffy's bounty won't be increasing, rather much, I'd expect Zoro and Sanji's bounty to increase. We don't know about Shanks, but since he's a Yonkou, his bounty should be at least 750 million. And Dragon's bounty should be the highest now, since Whitebeard is down. As the head of the Revolutionary, his bounty should be close to Roger's, which we do not know.

Haki isn't all he lacked. He said himself that Rayleigh said he was a sloppy fighter. The Admirals and many higher ups in the Marine also have Haki, and years more worth of experience with it than Luffy too. Caesar is weaker than Law and he could have killed Luffy easily but instead locked him in a cage. Until the movie comes out you can't say for sure how Z will be defeated and if Luffy defeats him we can say for sure he is weaker than Akainu, Kizaru and Aokiji. Luffy isn't admiral level.
Having Haki does not make luffy on their level, lol. Even if he could hit them, it would have little to no effect. Also, look back at the war, how many times did you see luffy actually trying to hit an admiral with his fists. None right? Simple, because Kizaru is too fast for luffy to react, Kuzan can freeze him, and Akaniu can't even be touched because he's magma
Uhm, a beam from a pacifista and a light speed kick from kizaru are on two completely different levels. It's easy to dodge something when you know it's coming. Kizaru is light itself, dodging a kick from him is near impossible.

I personally have a theory that Gol D Roger ate a rare devil fruit called the reincarnation fruit and Luffy is his reincarnation. Thats why he told raleigh he wasnt going to die and why he died smiling. Luffy has many similarities with him like his speech, hat and choice of weird friends. Shanks might have known this and gave him the hat. There are also lots of biblical references like adam, eve and noah.

Lucci compared gear 2 as a form of steroid. Any normal human's heart would explode from that amount of exertion in Gear 2. His rubber body may be capable of handling the energy necessary, but its still highly stressful on his system. Likely due from an accelerated heart rate and extreme body temperature. The steam that pours off him is actually sweat that is evaporating due to how hot he is.

Hate to break it to you, but I predict that Luffy will die at the end of One Piece, though not in the exact same way as Roger. My prediction is that Luffy will wage a war against the WG and the Navy(presumably to save one of his nakama from execution), and while he would eventually die from his wounds(on top of the crap that's already killing him), he would take an insane amount of punishment before he dies, just like WB did. And even when he DOES die, he will not fall.
I'm not talking about the fight they had, I'm talking about Shikki being the first one to break out of ID and Luffy being the First one to break IN and OUT of ID, he merely partipated in the war, do I remind you that Luffy was the one to free ACE, the only to go all the way where Sengoku was and that he was the last hope of WB... Argh, lets bring this argument to a close, #1 Luffy's abilities (post-timeskip) have not been revealed to a great extent so his true strength remains unknown, we can guess all we want but we won't know until he gets into a fight where his abilities are tested to the extremes. All in all there is no point saying weither or not he could beat the admirals because he hasn't had the chance, basically quit arguing over a moot point. Until it happens don't act like you know any better than the creators
Except the admirals. Post timeskip Luffy is still not able to deal with someone like Sakazuki. He'd probably be able to deal with almost any vice admiral that came his way(READ: Not Garp), but admirals would still be out of his league.
Even Whitebeard's finest had issues with the admirals. If Luffy tried to fight the admirals even after 2 years worth of level grinding, he'd be basically walking into a slaughter that would get Ace killed trying to save him from Akainu.
It's just not fair to Smoker to make him akin to a mere Vice Admiral given what we know of him. Mr Youssef though I dont agree with his reasoning seems more justified as he's pertaining Smoker as Sengoku a man as strong as Garp. But the fact remains Smoker has cornerd luffy multiple times and has so far never lost to him this is already similar to Garp, so his connection is more obvious than any with Sengoku or Aokiji who should have been far below Roger at the time

to be fair, if roger is dead, he died quite happily. he fulfilled his goal, and died with no regrets. a happy ending for pirates in this series is to fulfill whatever dream they have, look at whitebeard. if luffy did die at the end, i invite it, only if he fulfilled everything he wished to.
Why would Smoker be the younger marine? Coby not being matured is actually evidence against him being like Garp who was in his prime during Rogers time. Aokiji was a Vice during Rogers time thats probably what Coby can aspire to be right before luffy becomes pirate king
