    hey the hole in the headers is probs for an o2 sensor, and thats why you have teh code too :)

    • @Cepyy916
      @Cepyy916  3 года назад +2

      Idk, if you are talking about the hole I welded up, it was a small pin hole where they welded the pipe to the the flange, and I put the stock o2 sensor where it belongs on the new headers, but after wrapping the headers with heat wrap the code went away. I also changed the secondary 02 sensor a few weeks after that and no problems ever since. Except evap but it was a cracked hose at the purge valve in the engine bay. Fixed that and no check engine for maybe over half a year now.

      @@rGrizz well if you want to gain horsepower, UEL headers actually rob horsepower but give you that classic Subaru rumble, with even length its easier for the exhaust gases to escape, and with a highflow cat you'll see minimal hp increase and maybe better throttle response. I'd say save the money and put it into handling of the car, suspension, better sway bar, coils or lowering springs drop the car a couple inches to make it less top heavy for better cornering, good rims and tires for more grip around the corners.

      NA motors loose Hp with 0 restriction. A bit more flowing than stock can add very little hp but not much. Turbo engines are really the only ones that benefit to 0 restriction exhausts.

      Then do it at your own risk. You don't want to brake any studs at the engine, then it'll leak exhust and that's a big no no. But if the bolt brakes at the cat, just go to the hardware store and buy a new bolt and nut

    cheapie headers, open up the holes and using a bare jack on metal tubes.. you're asking for problems. both flanges should slide in and loosely test fitting both sides at the same time. wd40, displaces water and is a terrible penetrating fluid. it's nice to see anyone still turning wrenches but a lot to learn here. back in the day, we didn't need to rtv on top of exhaust gaskets. just get a quality soft metal gasket and you're gtg and for god sake, use a torque wrench on everything

    • @Cepyy916
      @Cepyy916  3 года назад +1

      The WD-40 was just for visual, im in california so no rust for me, and the headers were only 97 dollars I wasn't gonna put anymore effort making them fit nice, also I didn't purchase new gaskets so I had to use the include ones and they are garbage so that's the point of the red rtv. And yes of course always use a torque wrench. I agree with that.
