There are a good number Star trek Fan productions that have brought some good Star Trek content to us, and I thank you all. Keep it coming when you can. Thank you.

Very impressive. The use of effects and props looked like borrowed from various series and movies. That is a compliment. Being able to set aside the need for big production expenses like STNG that supposedly cost over a million bucks an episode decades ago, did not distract from the core purpose, an entertaining story. I liked the casting of average looking people. Being retired military, I felt the casts of the Wagon Train of Space was too pretty. Trust me, it draws attention away from the story. Thank you for this happy find! I put this in my favorite folder to watch again, and to preserve links to other potential videos.

Chawl Shepard would you you have sex with an ugly girl or a pretty girl?
nobody like ugly people and everyone hates them.We live in an age of beauty.Soon ugly people will be aborted before birth using computer forecasting to see if they will be ugly or beautiful...

I echo Moon Cat's comments. The sets were convincing of TOS bridge, props were "cheesy" but felt in style with TOS props. The plot was the strong point, and the ending was unexpected, and the whole episode had the same sense of hopefulness as in TOS.

This was an intelligent version of the original series and although some of the acting was off, the story was excellent and I look forward to watching more.

From the creators of Star Trek Continues. Kudos, another well made episode. Thanks Vic!

Does Vic rent out the set to other Star trekking souls?
Star Trek continues was the best, I bet if you deepfaked the original actors faces over those on 'continues' and showed the results to someone who never heard of 'continues', they would honestly believe they were lost episodes! Even the corny ones.

This not from the creators of Star Trek Continues. just using the same sound stage thats now available for a lot of crews (notably, Avalon).
There may be some ovberlap among crews (I'd be surprised if there wasn't) but that doesn't justify "From the creators of" types of claims. Not helpful.

Despite the flaws, it is much better than what we are being force fed by the "official" owners of the franchise.

Okay, the Chief Engineer on this ship is a woman. And being an engineer, she might have a different way of using the equipment. (More than one way to skin a cat.)

I see a lot of the detractors of Star Trek just hate the show for political/moral statements, just take the show the way Gene Roddenberry created it. A wagon train to the stars...explorers to the universe.

+Damon Matthew Wise Âû Yes but it wasn't this Farragut. The Farragut name has been used by a succession of vessels just like the Enterprise name.

Did you not pay attention?? Lt. Uhura serves on the Enterprise, this is the Farragut. Completely different ship, same class as the Enterprise, (Constitution), but different ship.

Okay I can live with crappy special effects and have been sold on a bum in California who thought his box was a space ship, because he really believed it. Poor acting is the worst for me to get past. Sorry if this hurts anyone's feelings, but this acting is crap. Mainly from the captain. Accurately memorizing script is not acting. He reads and recites in perfect english. But there is ZERO emotion other than what personal friends may call an oscar, I love the effects, but just can't sit through this dry ass acting. Award winning set. But the guts is the actors believing in said set. I know it's fan film, but did you guys review any of the footage before showing this? If you did, fire your director for not catching this, or being brave enough to tell you guys your lines were dry as rice cakes. So much potential here.
I've been brought to tears from youtubers with crappy sets, poor lighting, terrible cutting, but they were speaking from their souls. That comes first, then the badass set.

    • @Apollo949
      @Apollo949 3 года назад +1

The acting definitely let a good story down. They were clearly reading from a script and not behaving naturally, although William Shatner was sometimes guilty of that in the original series.

You should hire more attractive actors. I know that's sounds harsh but bare with me. They have easy technologies that could change appearance, and get rid of fat (transports could do both). No matter how far in the future you go you can't change human instinct. Both sex looks for the most attractive and capable people. It's hardwired into us. The woman that beamed down with the captain was a hot mess. Bad acting fat awkward and plain fugly. People would jump at the chance to act in your show. It doesn't take a genius or scholar to act. Hire off the streets. Most people are capable with little training.
