When your biggest star in MJF returns and no one gives a fuck that is a problem.
They immediately put him in a program with a lower mid-carder who can't work and buries his opponents. Tony doesn't know how to book and we've known that for a while but this is just meth-addled shit. If he's not gonna give up the book, Tony at least needs to hire someone to tell him no because apparently everyone in the back is afraid to. They wouldnt make money if they did. They spent millions on wrestlers contract. The TV deals are coming to an end soon and arena tickets sold are slowing. Smaller venue will just push it further down and be more like impact or TNA.

AEW fans need to stop drinking the Kool Aid and admit the company has a problem. Tony has no idea what he's doing, get him out of there because I'm sure he spends more time complaining about WWE on Twitter than he does planning out his booking. I don’t want AEW to fail, options are a good thing. A monopoly isn’t, no matter how good WWE is.

AEW always had a time limit on relevancy. Theres only so many "dream matches" you can have and only so many "indie superstars" you can sign before it all dries up. They havent written any compelling stories in like 2 years, the most interesting bits about AEW is the real business and how much of a mess its been behind the scenes.
best story they had in the last two years was, the better then you baby story, unfortunately both got injured to continue the story.
I never watched AEW but the storyline between MJF and CM Punk was the only legit feud I got interested in. The extremely hardcore matches they have without any build up or storyline just makes it another Indy match where they literally trying to kill each other for a cheap pop. Plus those twin mfers annoy me so much I can't stand them, Old Bucks was it?
Some of the wrestlers are just stuck in the same situation in a different company. Well on the bright side, they are getting paid better to do so.
Hard disagree on this one, main one recently that springs to mind was the Hangman vs Swerve feud. Problem is AEW seems to just have the absolute worst luck, whenever a good story gets going, someone gets injured.

The biggest issue with AEW is that it tries too hard to beat WWE. Like, the WWE is over three decades old now and you can't expect to topple the foundation that it has all across the globe. Tony Khan needed to build up his company steadily without trying to compete but he instead went crazy and bought a bunch of big names on outrageous paychecks. This isn't sustainable or good for the company which can be seen by the way it crumbles whenever a big name leaves.
Not to be annoying or technical, just trying to let you know, WWE was actually founded in 1953, so 7 decades, which makes it even more ridiculous that people believe AEW would beat WWE in the long run.
@ZardyWasTaken I feel that also shows that it takes time to become a big wrestling promotion, hell WWE didn't become a huge thing to where it started beating NWA until the 80s, almost 3 decades after it was founded, yet AEW hasn't been around for more than 5 years at this point, so it's almost pointless to say AEW will beat WWE because that kind of thing doesn't happen overnight and requires decades of making a name for themselves
@@Austin-5098 Not just that. They also need WWE to screw up badly like the WCW did in order to have any chance. Given how many big corporates need WWE to stay at the top in order to maximize their financial benefits, I don't think they will ever fall off that hard.

To be fair with AEW everyone is comparing the most rated show with there lowest rated show.. the average at there Peak was like 900k-800k. Now it’s around 600k… yes still a massive drop off in a couple of years dropping 200k-300k fans, they definitely need to fix there booking mistakes, there product a bit.. but I believe they are still the 2nd most watched company in the world and have a solid fan base, plus I think WWE is always better with competition, so I hope they figure it out and we can keep a weeks worth of enjoyable wrestling TV.

AEW was the alternative to Vince. The old man's gone now. Also, Tony lost a lot of his audience when he chose Perry and the Bucks over Punk.
Personally I don't think that this is the end of AEW but they need to make changes. Random dream matches every week isn't working. Time to star telling some stories that make the dream matches mean something.
I think the only reason they are booking Cody vs Solo is for Roman to come back. It's the only thing that makes sense for them book at as the SummerSlam main event.

I'm not a fan of AEW but back when the company started I was very interested in it and wanted them to go toe to toe with WWE in the end us the fans are the winners, what made me lose interest is the way Tony is handling things especially on social media and signing a lot of great talent only for them to never appear and the randomness of almost every match

The matches don't feel like fights so much as exhibitions for spots. And other than access to one of the 27 titles AEW has, there doesn't seem to be much in the way of stories that seem compelling.

As a person who watches both brands weekly I agree and one of my least favorite things about AEW is the random thrown together matches that happen just because both men are good wrestlers. Like it’s cool to watch but at the same time I prefer my matches to be built and get me invested emotionally making me want to see them fight. But I will say AEW has been building more storylines lately they’re trying.

Roman returning during or after Cody vs Solo would be huge but there's also another path. Say the match falls into chaos and the new bloodline come out for Solo and Randy, KO, and Jey come out for Cody. Cody wins the match and post match, while they are celebrating, Randy turns on Cody setting up a feud for Bash in Berlin or maybe Crown Jewel. I don't think that this is the way Papa Trips is going to book it, but we all did see how Randy was looking at that title...
AEW already and literally dead the day HHH being approved by TKO to be a sole man to handle WWE's Creative Team without any interruptions by someone else (especially by his father in law)
