Ther is a posibilities to turn off the modeling lamp, becouse when i make a picture, the modeling lamp turn on. How to turn off for good?
Can you do a video showing to actually use the Z1S with a Sony Mirrorless E-Mount camera, i.e. A9 or similar? Just got mine and there are a zillion options. Plus, I have it in Background fill and sometimes it fires and sometimes it does not. Not sure if it configuration or the contacts are dirty since this many year old camera has never had a flash mounted to the hot shoe. TIA!
I will work on it, I have the Sony A7iv I use for photos mostly. it worked ok so far. I do mostly video work but trying to get out do more photos as well

Have you ever used the Godox V1 to compare? Considering getting one or the other, but the Newer price point is much more affordable. Wondering if theres any advantages to the Godox V1 aside from more compatibility with the built in receiver.

hey there, sorry I have not used and don't have the Godox V1 flash, I have heard they are pretty good though. A lot of my professional photographers have it. I think if you can afford it, then get the Godox. This neewer one seems good though, cheaper and might be good for beginner to intermediate photographers.

In my case I connected the Neweer Z1-S flash on my Sony A7 IV [ First Test] [ Latest Version 2.0] and when parried the flash with 2 of my Q3 Strobe. I will not then be able to reach the Master Menu where I can control the Q3. I detached the flash from the camera, and I was able to view it again. I reconnect and same issue.
I connected to an old A7 III that I have [ Hasa latest version. 4.0] and still same issue, I detach and it works. but what is the point of a flash that can't sync in with a camera!
I'm I doing something wrong? or is this a glitch or manufacture issue? I made sure my settings are correct when it comes to having "Silent Shutter mode" off for when using a flash. and I also Rested the Z1-S flash couple of times using the manual!

hey there, I am not sure about this as I don't have any other flashes. Not sure how that works, I am pretty new to on camera flash (I do mostly video) but still learning myself, might want to contact the manufacture on this one, sorry.
I’m having the same issue as well. It seems like it glitches out and I can’t use it as a master, when connected to the hot shoot.

This is a year ago, but how is the TTL with sony A7 / A9. Maybe you can tell something about this ?
I have only used it on the a74. it should be ok on the other Sony models as well.
I've just bought this for my Canon 77d, when I press the lightning button to test the flash it just beeps, nothing happens, why does it do this, is it faulty

Cool video, you seem to know a lot about this topic, question.... I am have a Canon 90 D with a Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM Lens. I think those 2 are pretty decent for what I am doing, at tha very least, a lot better then an i phone camera and video :) My question is, what lighting would be good that you would get based on tha camera and lens I have ? I am just using it to take pictures and videos. Thanks.
thanks for the message. I have done most of my video and photos with constant lights, Led ones. I started with led panels but they are not soft so I upgraded to more of a Studio light with soft boxes. Now flash is good for photography but not video of course. If you do both I would start with the constant lights. There are many out there that might be affordable but some can be very expensive. I have a lot of Neewer products, they have decent quality and more affordable price, check them out on Amazon amzn.to/3WL2RPv

@@OperationChicago check out the link I posted above to Neewer Amazon page, you can get a good lighting set up for $500 or less actually but you can maybe get something better than basic.
hi, i have a sony 7m4 and the godox version has a plastic hotshoe and it breaks easily. for this flash does it have a metal or plastic hotshoe?
it is a plastic hotshoe part but also has a locking ring.
@ItstheDaveShow1 interesting, I just bought one yesterday from Amazon Canada and got a metal hotshot. So far, I'm pretty happy with it. I just need to get a trigger to pair with it.
My Sony A7iii will say accessory not compatible.. anybody else having this issue
The TTL absolutely won't work on my Sony A7iv... any ideas what I can do to solve that? :(

@@Pedro-vs4vl oh gotcha, sorry. I haven't ever tried to update the software for this. I will have to see about it, the manual said you have to download the Neewer software downloader thing or something. I haven't tried it.

Will it work with Godox xpro transmitter?
I don't think so, I haven't tried it as I don't have the Godox thing. I am still waiting for the Neewer remote trigger for this .

Also recently updated firmware on the Godox website.(for the Z1S and XproiiL)
