The girl riding the sheep. You will love stitching it for ur own reasons. I like it I like that you started a literary club. I’m reader above all things. I love the classics. I read the Secret Garden twice as an adult. Obviously loved it. Happy stitching 🧵🪡🧵
I totally understand the going away from home. Even though we are retired we still find even gone for the day if really busy,we are so happy to pull in the driveway. If a planned holiday for week or so yea okay but to just go even visit family, we are tired and want our home time. Oh congratulations on master gardener, my old neighbour got hers a few yrs ago. She had lovely gardens. Back to watch the rest tomorrow as is almost midnight.❤
Hi Cindy! Great to hear from you! Great comment too- I think home is becoming more dear to everyone and it is a good thing. Happy Thanksgiving and wishing you many stitching hours at home🥰🦃!
Betsy Clark... I still love them too. Mount Vernon is one of my favorite places. The Little House series were my favorites, when the TV show was on I would walk over to a neighbor's house and she and I would watch it every week, the only drawback I had to cross back over the fields in the dark to get back home. Stacy Nash, Butternut Squash pinkeep gets my vote, or maybe the sheep... 🐑, Warm Winter Woolens. Tasha Tudor lived a beautiful and humble life, enjoying the real things of life.
Yes! Her name was Betsy Clark. Thank you for reminding me of that. If I ever do get to see Mount Vernon I am sure I will fall in love with it. I too loved the little house series on TV and planned my week around it. When it first started I was in elementary school and I begged my mother to wash out an old paint can so I could take it to school with my lunch in it like Laura did. My mother did grant my wishes and I was one happy girl for a whole school year that I got to take my lunch in a paint pail!
Everyone is so busy lately. I appreciate whenever you can post. I love your work, all of it. The quilting and the needle work. You do make perfect project bags with you eye for fabric. I will invade my stash and see if I can produce a bag or two for fun. I have that "His eye is on the Sparrow" chart. I think I will make it a Sunday work! Look at how clever your receiving blankets are. Perfect baby gift. I think your Fall work should be "Give Thanks for Bounty". We have so much to be thankful for even when things are chaotic! Enjoyed sitting and listening to your presentation. Happy Thanksgiving to you.
Thank you for your beautiful comment. I believe that you do need a Sunday work and that chart would be perfect. Thank you also for your comments on my receiving blankets and my project bags. My father-in-law used to say that busy hands are happy hands. If that’s the case my hands should be very happy as I love to be creative. When things are chaotic, turning inward is my second name. Happy Thanksgiving weekend and I wish you many happy hours of stitching!
Olga;s stocking gets my vote - saw some really lovely things. Every time you held up a new bag I wanted it - you have some really unique fabrics that are wonderful. Totally get the "stay near home". I've dealt with that whole thing for a long time until realizing that is who I am - enjoy it. Every one of us is unique and we should really feel free to embrace that and live who we are to the very fullest.
Thanks for the great comment! I enjoy staying home and you are right - we all need to learn who we are and what makes us happiest. Thank you for the positive comment also on my project bags. I love making them from fabrics from my stash, and some of those fabrics are very old. Your vote has been counted and happy stitching!
Hi Barbara! Sheep girls unite! One can never stitch enough sheep patterns. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend and I appreciate your great comment. Happy stitching!
Enjoyed watching and seeing your beautiful stitching. The fall Prairie Schooler is my vote - classic. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! May blessings abound to you and your family. Happy Stitching! 🧵
Hi, SHanda! I read to my husband in the car , also! Never heard of another person who does. We have been doing that together since we were first married. We also read in the car when my kids were growing up. I homeschooled them all the way through and my young adult son ( 22) and my husband and I are still reading together when we happen to be going somewhere in the car, Right now it is the Sherlock Holmes mysteries, I loved finding amazing books to read to my children. You are right, so many! gems in the juvenile section of books. What a treasure you are to be introducing them to good, wonderful books. My vote is for Olga's Stocking. I do not comment much, but I so appreciate your videos. Thank you
Hi Julie! I appreciate this heartfelt comment and think you are creating memories while reading to others in the car also. There are incredible books in the juvenile section of libraries! I appreciate your comment and wish you many happy hours of reading and stitching!
So happy to see you again and see what you have been doing. I love the sheep also, and a dear friend of mine has a sheep farm. Just love to watch the lambs play. Congrats on your Master Gardening classes, they are fun and so interesting, and I know have helped in raising my vegetable garden. I am stitching Stacy Nash's chicken charts and next is Turkey Hollow Farm. Thank you for sharing the books you are reading. Take care and have a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday. I plan to spend Thanksgiving day with family at a reunion where there will be between 75 and 100 of us gathered.
I hope you had a wonderful day at your reunion yesterday on Thanksgiving! Great comment and I did enjoy my Master gardening class. Happy stitching to you, whatever you are working on.
Nice to you see again. A friend and I have been reading children/young adult books for a few years now.We met as stitchers and then when she moved we started our reading together. A couple of years we read children's classics and would take turn picking out the books. Then we moved on to the Newberry Awards books. We've found as adults we enjoy these books even more than when we were children.
I too have been reading the Newberry award winning children’s books. I think they hold timeless value and lessons pertinent to our current day and age. I feel if I am going to spend time reading, then I want to read something worthwhile and you can’t go wrong with children’s books. I wish you many happy hours of reading and stitching. Thank you very much for the comment!
Awww…. Thanks! I enjoy making project bags- and stitching everything I can get my hands on! Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving weekend and thanks for the comment!
Hi Shanda! It was lovely to see another video from you again. Your stitching is beautiful. Oh Tannenbaum is going to look wonderful once it's finished in that box. Betsy's Autumn gets my vote for your fall start. I love that you formed a literary group in your school, and that the kids are enjoying the books. I taught school for many years, and I remember having the I Survived series in my classroom library. I'm glad your boys are enjoying that series. If your kids are interested in historical fiction, I would recommend the Dear America books (if you can find any...they were a late 90s, early 00s series from Scholastic). They were a set of diaries written by a fictional girl or boy, during a specific time period in history. My fourth graders loved them. You should also start a cross stitching club! That was something I had the privilege of doing at my school and I loved it! Both boys and girls signed up for it. You'd be great at it😊. Happy Thanksgiving!
Great comment and suggestions! I never thought of a Crosstitch club! And yes I have heard of the dear America series. In fact right now I am reading the one on the Titanic. Thank you for the vote for Betsy’s Autumn- it has been counted. Happy stitching and I’ll see you next time!
You mentioned you have George decorates for Martha - I vote for that. Though, all the charts you showed were wonderful. Thank you for the great video. I have two daughters . I live in Arizona and they live on the east coast. I miss them a lot. Aren’t we so lucky to have Face Time? Happy Thanksgiving.
Shanda...thank you for your delightful visit,,,your hair is so lovely...if selections are troublesome...put them in a bag and draw one out...I enjoyed everything you shared...wishing you the best and Happy Thanksgiving ❤
I would start A Mount Vernon Christmas. I have happy memories visiting Mount Vernon. I agree with the sentiment of Real Comfort. I just finished that stitch and love it. So nice seeing you again…thanks for sharing your projects with us. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
I would love to visit Mount Vernon! It is on my bucket list but not for a few years until we are retired. Happy stitching and I agree with your sentiment of real comfort. That is a beautiful stitch as my friend has stitched it and it was gorgeous when she completed it. 🪡🧵🦃♥️
I have missed you so much. I love your hair!!! Ok…so…you look all cozy and ready to hibernate. Any snow at the mountain house yet? All the patterns you love are beautiful. To me they are old friends who bring comfort. Enjoy your holiday and see you soon. Barb
Thank you Barb! What a ‘cozy’ comment! No snow at the mountain house yet, but some in the forecast. Happy stitching and wishing a great thanksgiving weekend!
It was so good to see a video from you pop up. I noticed that two of your videos did not come up on my feed, so I plan to go back and view those as well so I can catch up with what you have been up to. I have to say that your hair is looking so pretty. I hope your eye issues are something that can be controlled, we definitely need to be able to see to stitch and quilt. I love the White Pumpkin Farm. Happy quilting and stitching………………..
Vote counted for white pumpkin farm! Thank you Pam, you’re always such a faithful commentor on my videos. What are you working on currently? What is your current quilting project and what are you currently stitching on? I hope you have a great Thanksgiving weekend and I wish you many happy holiday hours stitching to your hearts content!
I think you should stich the sheep in the sweater. You would have it finished by the time the snow starts to fall. I read the Secret Garden when I was young and loved it. I was wondering if we could see the wool applique pillow of the crow in the bookcase behind you. It always catches my eye. Also, I would love to hear some stories of life growing up on a sheep farm!😊 🐑
Those are some great questions for me to address in my next FlossTube! And great vote - I love stitching sheep. Happy Thanksgiving and blessings to you!
So pleased to seeing you again. Wonderful to have children reading books together. Love your stitching and slowly getting back to mine. Blessings and happy stitching.
It made my night seeing your flosstube pop up! I vote for the Stacy Nash Butternut House or the Prairie Schooler. I saw someone on another flosstube (can't remember who) stitch the Butternut pumpkins without a face. I thought that was a good idea to extend its season. I love your receiving blankets 😊
Great idea about faceless pumpkins! And yes, the receiving blanks are just another rabbit hole I run down. So many projects, not enough stitching time, right? Happy Thanksgiving!🦃
Shanda, what a blessing to those children you are! The values you are instilling in them will last a lifetime and will benefit them in untold ways! And, of course your stitching is lovely! Will you teach the girls to stitch😘. I vote for the Prairie Schooler since I stitched it myself and never tire of it! Happy Thanksgiving!
I would love to teach the girls to stitch - I am making them scones for a Christmas tea party before school lets out for winter break. I just think children need to learn to do more with their hands and be a good member of society before teenage years and ‘screens’ take over. Blessings and happy Fall stitching!♥️
@@shandastitchinginidaho boy! Couldn’t agree with you more on that one, but I fear you are one of a kind! Scones and a tea party is perfect! Memories they’ll never forget!❤️. Thanks for all you are doing!
Congrats on your master gardener program. Looking forward to seeing your garden pics. I enjoy my garden also. Do you see what I see is my pick for a new start. That pattern just speaks to me. Sounds like you are enjoying the school year. The kids are lucky to have such a special librarian. Looking forward to seeing your FFO on O Tannenbaum. Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🪡🧵❤️
Thanks for the great comment! Sounds like we have a few things in common - seeds, books, and stitching. What else do we need, right? Blessings and happy stitching!
Wonderful to see you again! I love Olga’s Autumn Stocking but truthfully, any of the Autumn charts you shared would be a wonderful start. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! 🦃
What a nice surprise to see you today! You look gorgeous with your white hair!!! Love your wips & your bags…oh my goodness they are amazing to say the least. I like stitching houses so I like George decorates for Martha (I have that pattern as well) 😉. Happy Thanksgiving my PPS friend 🍁🎃🧡
Hi PPS! Maybe we could stitch George decorates for Martha together? I just love that chart - mine came as a kit from Dyeing To Stitch. So good to hear from you- Happy Thanksgiving!🦃
I just found your Flosstube and I love it! You're stitching is beautiful. The Secret Garden is one of my favorites books and I have the copy I was gifted when I was little. It too has the Tasha Tudor illustrations. They are beautiful! I love that you are have introducing your students to the classics - we sure need more of that! Happy Thanksgiving!
Hi there! So glad you left a comment. I too have recently caught some of your floss tubes and enjoy them! You have a very talented son! Stitch all the things and I will go and catch up with all your latest videos. Love everything you do and your stitching is beautiful! Happy Thanksgiving weekend to you and many happy hours of stitching! Catch up with you later.
Oh my gosh, we missed you! I’m also an empath introvert (or ambivert), so I relate about the home place being where peace is. I have sooo many of the same charts that I want to start, but my favorite is White Pumpkin Farm. That has been on my list for a long time, and if its the one that you choose (or is chosen for you), I will start and stitch it with you!!! I hope to see you again real soon!
Awww, thank you Lori! I appreciate you and commenting. Introverts and homebodies unite!!! Stitching makes everything better🧵🪡. Wishing you many happy hours of stitching and quilting - all the things we do. Vote counted! Happy thanksgiving weekend to you!
Hi Shanda lovely to see you again, lovely stitching projects and beautiful bags, you have some beautiful charts decisions decisions, great books,Happy Thanksgiving from NZ,have a good week Thankyou for sharing 🇳🇿❤️🪡
Greetings to NZ! Wow- I almost lived there as a foreign exchange student in high school but someone else go to go I stead of me☹️. We can be United tho thru our love of stitching. Thanks for watching!
Hi Shanda, nice to see you back and I picked up a copy of the Secret Garden off from Ebay this summer because it was my favorite book as a girl and I too, wanted the Tasha Tudor illustrations in it. Also got an older copy of Heidi and Uncle Tom's Cabin. Reading is a wonderful thing, and love that you chose that book for the young girls. I am sorry for the loss of your friend. I lost my best friend in 2016 and still miss her terribly. We shared the same birthday, which is tomorrow Nov.20, and it was a tradition for us to meet up on whatever day she could get off that week to have lunch, exchange gifts, and do a little shopping. I enjoyed seeing all your project starts and goals. My "to do" list is probably much larger and I have not been very disciplined about crafting all year. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Looking forward to next time.
Hi Nancy snd thank you for watching. Such a kindred spirit you sound like and I love your memories of your friend. Hope you are reading and getting the urge to do some crafting this weekend. My creative time is my world, and it is my form of self-care. Enjoy the best of the season and thank you for the comment!
So good to see you!! My vote is to stitch the smallest pinkeeps first, they wont take long and you can finish them quickly and have a set to display now and then add the larger ones later.
Thank you Kristi! Your sentiment is shared by a few other commenters so I may have to do just that. I wish you and your family a very happy Thanksgiving, and lots of happy stitching time in your stitching chair! Blessings my friend🦃♥️
I love the old classics also. You mentioned George Washington in your video. My great x5 uncle baptized George Washington. His name was the Reverend John Gano. I am intrigued by history in my older years. I want to get Letters from Yellowstone, it sounds good. I love all your stitching!I love your style!
Thank you for your kind comment! You have quite the family legacy with George in your family line. I love that! ♥️. Happy stitching in a blessed Thanksgiving to you!
Happy Thanksgiving to you too. Voting for Olga’s stocking. I think it would look great hanging off a knob on your pie safe. I will be enjoying my Old Tannenbaum this year too. It was stitched just not finished for years.
Old Tannenbaum finishers, UNITE! Congratulations- mine is in the works- waiting for the stain to dry and then I can pop in the individual projects. Your vote for Olga’s stocking has been counted and I appreciate the comment. Happy stitching to you!
I just found you,you are so pretty! I’m also an introvert and I love being home. It’s crazy. I absolutely love your project bag for Christmas! You have such good taste, everything you have shown has been amazing! May you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Look forward to your video for next month.🦃
Thank you for the heart felt comment and I think introverts should all unite! Home is my happy spot for that is where I long to be. And thank you for your comments on my project bags. I love making them and using the fabric I have had in my stash for so many years. Happy stitching and I’ll see you next time!
Butternut pinkeep I love and I’ve stitched it but it was too large for me for a pinkeep. I framed it in a frame that I just use to pop in stitches during the different seasons. So of course for me I’d say Butternut pinkeep. However, after listening to you I think that either the one with the sheep since you’ve mentioned how you love sheep or since you are busy and want to have a bowl full of pintucks, then start with either of the two little small ones you showed at the end of fall. That way you’ll be on your way to your stated goal. I too love George Washington. He’s my favorite president for just some of those reasons you mentioned and I grew up where he crossed the Delaware that cold night against all odds. Love your reading clubs. It is wonderful to hear that you want the children to read classics. Those I survived books sound a bit like the old Henty books where young boys are thrown into history. I’m a believer in teaching history which unfortunately it seems like we haven’t done too good of a job looking at the world today as it seems we’ve either not been taught history or haven’t learned a thing from what we’ve been taught. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Oh how I love this comment! It is filled with so many great points. I envy you living near George Washington’s Delaware crossing, as I love history! You seem like a kindred spirit and I love that. I hope you have a great Thanksgiving weekend and happy stitching!
I was so happy to see your name pop up on my notification list as I always enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing all the children’s books! I just recently finished listening to all the Anne of Green Gables series and even at 72 years old, I really enjoyed them all! My grandchildren had listened to them and loved them. You must be such a wonderful librarian and can influence those children in such a positive way they will always remember- the love of reading!!❤
I can watch Anne of Green Gables at least twice a week and never tire of it! Your comment makes me think you are a kindred spirit also. Thank you for watching and I wish you many happy hours of stitching!
Hi Shanda! As always, I thoroughly enjoyed your video and can relate in so many areas - especially the need to be “home”. I don’t have a vote…any one of them would be great! I do love the poem on the Prairie Schooler one though. Lol Happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones, and I look forward to seeing you again. 🙂
Hello! Good to hear from you! Isn’t the word Home just a lovely word! And I to do love the poem on the Prairie schooler chart. I wish you a happy Thanksgiving weekend and many happy hours Stitching!
Good to see you again. Lots of gorgeous stitching and I love the sweet receiving blankets. Stitching and quilting is a stress reliever for me as well. I must say, I use to get out a lot more but the last three years I’m such a homebody. Understand how you feel. You look wonderful and your hair is so very pretty and feminine. Have a blessed Thanksgiving and God bless.
Thank you Sarah! What a beautiful comment. We homebodies must stick together, as I feel the safest at home. Happy stitching and have a blessed Thanksgiving also!
You inspired me to make OTannenbaum after watching an earlier video sheer you showed your progress. I have really enjoyed stitching it and am just finishing up the snowflake chart. I am anxious to see your finish and hopefully gain a little confidence to finish mine (hint, hint). Blessings
So awesome to see your video pop up tonight! Love that you are reading with your students; there is nothing else like it! I love all the fall/Thanksgiving patterns you showed; I think, probably because I would want to finish whatever project this season, I would choose one of the 2 small projects you showed last.
Happy Thanksgiving to you! You are such an inspiration. I enjoy all your projects and we really enjoy all the same things, except I don't have a green thumb. My mom did and I wish I had inherited it, but I inherited the stitching, knitting and baking genes. Becky
Sounds like you inherited some great creative genes! It sounds like you are a kindred spirit and I appreciate your comment. Take care and practice lots of self care this season!
A master gardener program? Good for you. My sister is a master gardener and I’m not. When she comes to my house, she just shakes her head, and I laugh, give her a hug, and tell her it’s okay. I loved seeing all your current stitching….very beautiful. As for which pattern you should start, I suggest starting a small and a larger project at the same time. Your reading program at school sounds like so much fun. Blessings and take care.
I vote for Autumn’s Ride and Warm Winter Woolens If you ever get a chance to see Mt Vernon in person, do it! I created a secret garden for my grands kids ❤️ I truly connect with your outlook.
Thanks for the vote for my future stitch. If I ever do get to see Mount Vernon I’m sure I will love it, as it is such a historic place. It’s a great idea to create a secret garden for grandkids, I have two granddaughters. Happy Thanksgiving and wishing you many hours of stitching!
Good to see your FT pop up. My 5th grade grand loved the survival series and is currently reading lemony snicket. Great wips. All your fall stitches are beautiful -olga or white pumpkin farm are both gorgeous. Have a Blessed Thanksgiving!!!
The Secret Garden is such a happy book. It invokes childhood memories like they should be from many years ago! Thank you for the great comment and happy stitching!
So happy to get to spend time with you, even if it is only virtually. You so inspire me. I don’t know if a sign of the times or just my age, but I too have become a homebody and just love to nurture my home and family. I vote for Butternut House…I’ve had that on my have to stitch soon list too. I love Olga’s Stocking too, for a long term stitch.
Homebodies unite! We should start a club, although there would be way too many people in it I am afraid as more and more people are turning to home for solitude and rest. This is a good thing! You seem a kindred spirit-I wish we could stitch together one afternoon. Thank you for voting for my future stitch and I wish you a very happy Thanksgiving!
Hi Cheryl! I will probably be coming to open sew during the month of January. Life has me kind of in a different direction for November and December with going up to the mountains so often. I miss open sew in the worst way! Thank you for the comment and hope to see you down at Maggies over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Happy stitching!
Thank you for the vote. I’ll announce the winner on my next video in a few weeks. Would love to start Olga’s stocking with you! Thanks for watching and happy stitching!♥️🪡🧵🦃
Hi Shanda! I don’t comment often but wanted to let you know how much I resonated with your sentiments about feeling protective over your time and needing to be home and having “me time” in order to recharge your batteries. I am in a similar season. I once was a SAH mom and when my daughter started school I started working there as well and am now teaching Kindergarten. I feel so blessed to be there but I also feel panicky about time and the ability to navigate it all some days. Home and with my stitching is where I feel the most at ease. This time of year is extra busy so I’m looking forward to snow days in January. Your job sounds like a dream…. Helping kids to get excited about reading. 💕 My vote would be Butternut House Pinkeep.
Thank you so much @laurastreet7600 for that encouragement. It was exactly what I needed going into my Monday. I love being around these kids. Not every day is easy but it’s all been worth it. I can tell just by your writing that you are dearly missed. Prayers for you and your family as you care for your son and his needs. 🙏🏽💕
Thank you for the very heartfelt comment! I resonate with your panicky feelings and ability to navigate at all. Just this morning I went out to my small town to do a few errands and I felt so empty with all the other hustle and bustle in the grocery store and the hardware store. Home is where I prefer to be, whether stitching, cooking, cleaning, or reading. Your vote has been counted and again, I appreciate your comment. Happy stitching!
You made my day! I'm always so happy to see that you have a new video. Today I was feeling a little sorry for myself because my daughter, granddaughter, and I are stuck in a motel for two weeks because the floors in our house have to be replaced because of a flood. I a'm eighty-one and a shut-in mostly. I've followed you for a long time and you've enabled me a couple of times. I bought O Tannebaum and finally, finally found the box at a very reasonable price. My daughter who is a master stitcher and very fast is going to stitch it for me for my Christmas present. I'm so pleased. I stitch a lot but I'm very slow. I was very appreciative of the book reviews. I was a Language Arts teacher and love reading especially reading aloud to my students.. My daughter and I recently joined the new book club in our ward and we're always looking for good wholesome books for our group. The Secret Garden was our first selection. It was the book which changed my reading forever! I discovered real mystery and real people. Anyway, thank you for your suggestions. I've added them all to our lists. I'm looking forward to seeing your finish on O Tannebaum. Thank you again.
Wonderful comment and I’m so sorry to hear about your flooding problem. Hope it gets repaired in short order! In the meantime, hope you have books and stitching to keep you occupied! Happy Thanksgiving 🦃♥️
Hey Shanda, I have to tell you you inspire me every time I watch you whether it’s Quilting which is my main thing am I did Crosstitch years ago and I wanna start it back up every time I see something which brings me to I would vote for first thing, white, pumpkin farm, bounty, hunter that took my breath away and secondly, butternut house pin keep they were all just lovely. Those two struck me right away. Everything I wanted to tell you was about some thing I saw yesterday on RUclips and it was called Canadian first time reaction to the Star-Spangled Banner. It was incredible and I think your kids would never see that song the same. It is the story behind how that song came about. What a great lesson in history. you have to watch it take care happy holidays.
I am a leftie as well and cannot read patterns to knit, but I can crochet. I learned when I was 12 from my maternal gramma and watched by stitching looking at her for each stitch. It helped quite a bit and now I can read patterns for that. I have a prim home and love your prim cross stitch patterns you are choosing. Janice
Awwwww, thank you Janice!! You are a kindred spirit, I can tell! Lefties unite! Thank you for your comment and I appreciate you watching my channel. Happy stitching!
I always love to see a video from you. I would vote for Butternut House. I thought I would get it done this fall, but didn’t. Don’t you love the color of that house? I have been spending my time mostly in Maggie Bonanomi wool applique for the past six weeks, but am ready to dive back into some Christmas cross stitching next week. I haven’t seen My Heart’s Welcome before. That blue house is terrific. Thank you.
So nice to see you again Shanda! Me too - cherish the time at home and quiet times. Seems that for most of my adult life, I have had to live my life in a hurry; however, now that I am retired, I am intentionally slowing down and thankful for the ability to do that. (BTW, your hair looks wonderful!) You continue to be an inspiration; thank you for taking the time to share your stitching, your thoughts and encouragement. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones. (I vote for Stacy Nash Butternut House.)
Oh your vote for the Stacy Nash Butternut house chart has been counted. You can never go wrong with the Stacy Nash chart correct? She is great. I envy that you are retired and I too someday will be fully retired with my husband. But for now we can find solace in stitching, reading, quilting, gardening, and all the good things that fill our lives. Thank you for watching!
I so look forward to your posts! My vote….#1. Butternut House. Stacy Nash. #2. Olga’s Autumn stocking. #3 primitive Autumn Cabin. Jenny Hoffman! Happy Stitching,💕
I love my friend Nicole! I can always count on her to vote. Vote counted for butternut House by Stacy Nash. You have been such a support to my stitching and I love you for it!
Good to see you back! I concur with you about wishing thread could give us nourishment😂 And I am more of a home body the older I get...I still do stuff but don't feel bad if I choose to say no. Love your stitching!
I was so happy to see your video pop up tonight. You expressed my feelings exactly with wanting to stay home. This feeling started a few years ago. Maybe it’s my age. You inspire me in many ways. I love all your stitching even put a few on my wish list. The children at your school have a real gift with you. Have a blessed Thanksgiving!
Your hair is so lovely - your patience paid off. I finally purchased a home (being built) in STAR and am so excited. My kiddos gave me the retreat at Maggies for my Christmas gift this year, so thankful. I love books, reading and libraries too. Hugs to you and some day we will meet in person in Idaho, I hope.
So glad to have found you. I too am happiest at home doing the things I love. I noticed on your opening, the stitched piece of the lady cross stitching. I have that piece... it was my Mother's. I have always wanted to do the companion piece of the quilter. Could you share the pattern name and designer? I look forward to your next video.
Great comment and yes I know the name of the two pieces that you are talking about. The first one is called The Inheritance and the second companion piece is called Shadows. Both are charted by The Cricket Collection and they are available on eBay but the charts are out of print. I so enjoyed stitching those clear back in 1990. Happy stitching to you and what an inheritance you have in your mother’s Crosstitch piece!
I wonder how the reverend would look with a white head, instead of orange. Would he be a snowman? I've done the Autumn's Ride by Primitive Stitchin'. It's an easy, quick stitch. If you're wanting some quick finishes, I would definitely go with the Primitive Stitchin', or Country Rustic Primitives patterns. I have several by those designers.
I was thrilled to see you have a new video! I’ve been watching for one. You look beautiful, I love your hair! Your stitching projects are always exactly what I love and I love your words of inspiration and encouragement! You are so wise. I must say I envy you your new job! 45 students??? That sounds divine! I work at a high school with 2,000 and it runs at an incredible pace every second of the day. Needless to say, I want to read the book you recommended!😂. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Oh my goodness, hello Ginger! 2000 high school students? I think I would have an anxiety attack every day. You are an amazing woman to work at a school that large and I bless you for it. Yes I only have 45 students. Definitely the cream of the crop out in ranch country. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving and here’s wishing you many happy hours of stitching during the holiday season. It was great to hear from you Ginger!
My vote is for either Mount Vernon (minus the snowman) or the Jane Austen quote. I just bought the Jane Austen one myself and am really looking forward to stitching it! I hope you enjoy "The Secret Garden". My copy (with the Tasha Tudor illustrations) is well-worn from childhood and I revisit it often.
Wellworn books are our best friends! I am loving the Secret Garden, both the written word and Tasha Tudor’s illustrations. Your votes are both counted and I wish you many happy hours of stitching! Thank you for watching.
Great video Shanda, always enjoy seeing what you have been working on !! I think you should start Olga’s Autumn Stocking, I just love this graph, definitely in my near future to start ! Happy Stitching and Happy Thanksgiving 🧵✂️🪡❌🍁🍂🦃🐿️
Happy early Thanksgiving to you! That is my favorite holiday. My vote is for the Prairie Schooler. I just finished their Country Seasons, all 4 charts on one piece of aida.
Hi Shanda..I notice lots of quilts in your home…are you a quilter .? Do you ever discuss quilts…I am new to your channel…enjoy your personality and your cross stitch…looking forward to more of your flosstube
Hi and welcome to my channel! I am a big quilter and have a long-arm studio up at our mountain house. I quilt when I am up in the mountains and I stitch when I’m down here in the valley, as I do not have my domestic sewing machine here with me. I have the best of both worlds and I stay busy with all kinds of projects. Happy stitching and thanks for watching!
Shanda,, you mentioned a crossstitch retreat that you went to in missoula. Does missoula have a needlework shop? And what was the retreat you went too? I live in Billings.mt. we don't have a needlework shop anywhere close that I know of.
The retreat was Sept 2022 and it was held at Com’on Inn by the freeway. It was sponsored by the North West Prim stitchers on Facebook. And you are correct, Missoula does not have a Needlework shop although it is high time I think they get one! Happy stitching and a blessed Thanksgiving to you!
Hi Shanda, always love your videos! What is the Alphabet pattern on the wall behind you? I also love that Malabar Farm pinkeep from Brenda Gervais. There is a Malabar Farm not far from us in Ohio.
The girl riding the sheep. You will love stitching it for ur own reasons. I like it I like that you started a literary club. I’m reader above all things. I love the classics. I read the Secret Garden twice as an adult. Obviously loved it. Happy stitching 🧵🪡🧵
Hi Shanda. Love all of your stitching. I haven't heard the words chintz or seersucker in like 40 years. Thanks for the great memory.
I know, right? Ah, to have been raised in the 70’s- gotta love it! Happy stitching!
Shanda, of all the floss tubes out there, yours is my favorite! Love all you do!
Awwww….. thanks! Happy stitching!
Good to see you! I vote for the Prairie Schooler!🧡💛🍂🍁🧡💛
The stocking won't take up so much of your limited wall space! Hang it on a knob or by the fireplace! Love to see you back......
I vote for the Stacy Nash pattern, or the stocking pattern. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Olgas’ Stocking. Really enjoyed your video.
White Pumpkin Farm! Definitely you have made me want to go buy the pattern!
On my word!! I am a Sheep girl too! I grew up on a Sheep farm also. I love patterns with sheep. Thanks for sharing!! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
Hi Barbara! Sheep girls unite! One can never stitch enough sheep patterns. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend and I appreciate your great comment. Happy stitching!
I hear you. I would stay home all the time. And piddling around my house is so less stressful than going out. 😊
Amen, and homebodies unite! Happy stitching
I just finished Queen of Harvest, and loved stitching her, so she gets my vote!
Enjoyed watching and seeing your beautiful stitching. The fall Prairie Schooler is my vote - classic. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! May blessings abound to you and your family. Happy Stitching! 🧵
A blessed season to you also. ♥️🦃😊Thanks for the comment and vote! Happy stitching!
Hi. Love all your projects today. I think your crocheting is beautiful.
Awwww! Thank you. Hope you are stitching this holiday weekend and enjoying those things and people you love. Thanks for watching!!
I’m in Twin Falls Id.
Sheep and honey bees are my jam. Love the video
My choice for you would be to stitch one of the charts that featured a sheep. Happy Thanksgiving!
Great vote- I love sheep! 🐑🐑🐑
You have the prettiest project bags! You also do great work!!
Awww….
Was good to see you. I think you should do the girl riding the sheep. My second pick would be Olga's stocking.
Shanda...thank you for your delightful visit,,,your hair is so lovely...if selections are troublesome...put them in a bag and draw one out...I enjoyed everything you shared...wishing you the best and Happy Thanksgiving ❤
Happy Thanksgiving weekend to you also and happy stitching! I just need more stitching hours in the day- or maybe sleep less. 🥸. Thanks for watching!
Great stitchy projects.
I vote for Butternut House.
Stacy Nash is also 1 of my favorites.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Marilyn
Thank you for your vote and I wish you a happy Thanksgiving also.!
I love the “I survived” series and The Secret Garden. I have the Tasha Tudor book!
I love so many of the same things you do. The older I get the more I just want to stay home.
I chose Plum Street White Pumpkin farm. ❤the horse whole thing got to find that one.
So pleased to seeing you again. Wonderful to have children reading books together. Love your stitching and slowly getting back to mine. Blessings and happy stitching.
Thank you my friend! I would admonish you to get back to you stitching as you feel up to it - it is so therapeutic. Blessings to you♥️
It made my night seeing your flosstube pop up!
Thanks Sandy! Vote counted and happy stitching-enjoy!
@@shandastitchinginidahosounds good to me!!!
So glad to see you. No apologies needed. I didn’t realize you are working, again. Great video as always. 🙂
Fabulous video ❤❤❤❤
In my book, you have the best job ever! You bring back a lot of memories for me. Thanks for sharing your time with us.
Great comment! I do enjoy my job. I also think you have a very clever RUclips name. Happy stitching and enjoy your reading time!
I currently also have some FFO supplies staring at me lol! You are not alone!
Glad you are on the FFO journey too - that means we’ve had some happy stitching time, right? Happy Thanksgiving!🦃
So nice to see your video I always enjoy them. I would choose Olga’s Autumn Stocking. I’ve seen it finished and it’s so impressive. Take care!
Yes, Olga’s stocking is beautiful stitched up. Your vote is counted and I thank you for your nice comment. Happy stitching!
I vote for Olga’s stocking. Love your flosstube and about your recommended books. Have a great Thanksgiving 🙂
So nice to see you again ! Love seeing all of your projects, Stacy Nash all the way ! ❤ Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
Its so interesting how elementary children love the “I survive” books. I suggest the Butternut House, Thank you for sharing.
Great vote and yip, elementary age kids just love that ‘I Survived’ series. Thanks for the comment!
You inspired me to make OTannenbaum after watching an earlier video sheer you showed your progress. I have really enjoyed stitching it and am just finishing up the snowflake chart.
I am anxious to see your finish and hopefully gain a little confidence to finish mine (hint, hint). Blessings
Great encouragement- thanks! O Tannenbaum is almost fully finished and I’ll have it to show next time. Happy stitching!
So awesome to see your video pop up tonight! Love that you are reading with your students; there is nothing else like it! I love all the fall/Thanksgiving patterns you showed; I think, probably because I would want to finish whatever project this season, I would choose one of the 2 small projects you showed last.
Great vote cast! Thanks for watching and I wish you a great thanksgiving!♥️🦃
I vote for Autumn’s Ride and Warm Winter Woolens
If you ever get a chance to see Mt Vernon in person, do it!
I created a secret garden for my grands kids ❤️
I truly connect with your outlook.
The Secret Garden is my all-time favorite read….I have no idea how many times I’ve read it….Happy Thanksgiving to Everyone! Gobble🦃Gobble ❤️❤️❤️
The Secret Garden is such a happy book. It invokes childhood memories like they should be from many years ago! Thank you for the great comment and happy stitching!
OMG we must be sisters. I too am at empath and i
Do not like going out from home. Thank you Gayla
Introverted Empaths unite! Happy stitching!
You sound like a great librarian and we need more like you. ❤❤
Awwww….. thank you! Love the kids and books! Happy Thanksgiving!🦃
Great video Shanda! Thanks for sharing the book recommendations. I hope to see you soon at open sew. :)
Hi Cheryl! I will probably be coming to open sew during the month of January. Life has me kind of in a different direction for November and December with going up to the mountains so often. I miss open sew in the worst way! Thank you for the comment and hope to see you down at Maggies over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Happy stitching!
Happy Thanksgiving Shanda. If you start Olga’s stocking I will stitch it with you.
My vote would be Butternut House Pinkeep.
@@kim-thestay-at-homequilter877 aww thank you so much! So glad you were encouraged!
That documentary sounds amazing. Will watch while I am stitching! Thanks for the comment and happy thanksgiving!🦃
Homebodies unite! Thanks for the comment and your vote of confidence 😉. Blessings to you!
Blessings to you as well!
Great video.
What a kind comment. The older I get, the more I want to stay home too. Happy stitching and enjoy your thanksgiving!🦃♥️
Would love to meet you! In January we should meet at Maggie’s for the free third Saturday stitching day. You have some great kiddos- enjoy!
I feel the same way. Once home I don't want to go out. I just want to be at home. Susan 6:07
Vote counted. Great to hear from you - Happy thanksgiving and wishing you lots of stitching time!♥️🦃
Happy early Thanksgiving to you! That is my favorite holiday. My vote is for the Prairie Schooler. I just finished their Country Seasons, all 4 charts on one piece of aida.
Vote counted and a very Happy Thanksgiving to you!
Putting in my vote for Butternut House by Stacy Nash. I have seen Stacy’s stitched model and it is awesome
Oh it is beautiful stitched! Thanks for the vote and happy stitching!♥️🦃
My vote,is for Betsy's Garden. They are all beautiful tho
Beautiful ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hi Shanda. I enjoyed your video and all your project bags. What do you use as interfacing to keep them from sagging? Do you use fusible foam? Thanks!
I don’t use fusible foam but I do use a stiff fusible batting. I really enjoy making project bags. Thanks for watching and happy stitching ♥️🪡🧵!
Shanda it's almost impossible to choose a fall pattern to stitch, I'd start with Betsy's Autumn.
Isn’t Betsy darling? Thanks for the vote and have a great thanksgiving!
Hi Shanda, always love your videos! What is the Alphabet pattern on the wall behind you? I also love that Malabar Farm pinkeep from Brenda Gervais. There is a Malabar Farm not far from us in Ohio.
Hi! What paint colors and stain did you use for O Tannenbaum box? I just finished stitching it and am struggling with the finish of the box
I used called for in the chart directions from Brenda. I followed her stitching and finishing directions to the T. ♥️😉👍
