    Must be different from town surf spots, cause I been surfing town almost 40 years and high tide, low tide are no different since then , judging by markers like jetty wall , exposed reef etc.

    The reality is so what? It goes back to the sea which was where it was long before it transformed itself into a snorkel circus. It's a cash cow money truck for you Hawaii that's what will hurt you most.

    Oahu has bigger problems like all the homeless living on all its beaches especially the west side.

    What does this say about the entire stretch of land between Waikiki & the Ala Wai canal

    How does this compare to...
    ...beaches that aren't tourist beaches?
    ...beaches with more erosion happening upslope?
    ...beaches with more untouched reef?
    Meaning, damage to beach from visitors vs sediment replenishment.
    How do you calculate how much of that beach sand has been carried away in tourist's vehicles over 100 years?
    I see some estimates of 3 million visitors a year in the past.

    Climate change and sea level rise is real. This report only talks about Hanauma Bay, but studies also say all of Waikiki beach and hotels will also be under water..

      @alexcarter8807 Год назад

      They're basically actually saying that the sea level will rise on average, which in 2030 means there will be more incidents where 80% of the beach is covered when it's high tide. This is also going to happen on other low-lying beaches including Waikiki.

    What a crock of Bologna. That beach and bay will be pretty much the same as it has been yesterday, today, tomorrow and in 2030. Don't listen to these fools who think limiting access and limiting carbon emissions are the solution to a non-existent problem.
