When I saw your previous video about turning meat farming into gold for gunpowder, I started thinking about early ways to get more gold than with this method. That way you could kill the hardest bosses with no fighting and do a boss rush fastest than most characters. But never faster than Wolfgang who is able to spawn a shadow piece on first night because he doesnt slow down carrying marble when mighty. You have him following you while you look for the other marble pieces and fight them one or two days later, so you dont have to wait to day 21 for that. I came to think about eels, king give you 5 per. Each pond contain 10, the way it works is you tak longer to catch the next the less they remain, if you go for 10 in a row it would take 220 seconds. They turn into 50 gold nuggets, so with 2 ponds you would be getting 100 nuggets every day. The ponds take about 3 days to get filled again, so having a few near is enough. If you stop fishing in the same pond after 5-6 and have enough ponds close you can keep them with high fish count so it doesnt take too much to catch them, making this way more efficient. With this method you are getting a minimum of 2 times the amount youre getting with your farm wich gives an average of 50 gold per day. Either way I dont know if it this would be enough to make a boss rush faster than other characters, in addition to the time it takes to farm the eggs and rot them. Now taking the rush part out and thinking about a passive farm, I think a varg farm with catapults is way better, you need to swap characters, but not a problem on a long term world. But the best part is you would have a gem farm, wich would allow you to turn into green gems at a rate of 27 blue and 27 red gems for one green. I dont have experience with those, but a video about it shows that he gets 20 gems a day with 4 vargs, so add a couple more and you are getting a green gem with one blue and one red hound day. Anyway, thanks for your videos and this new idea, now using gunpowder to kill bosses is again a viable thing as it was on Dont Starve because thay had way less health there.
ohh this is a deep insight 👍👍👍 in terms of gold nugget farming, I agree that fishing eels in cave is fast as wll, same with Varg gem farm. I think each come with its own pros and cons, Frog and Bunnyman farm can be used to defend against hound attacks that grow harder as time goes, while fishing eel in cave doesn't provide any protection, but yes the resource needed for fishing in cave is much cheaper as we only need some silks. However I just realized that fishing eels is more costly because we cannot do anything else aside while fishing, with frog and bunnyman farm we only need to be nearby during day time, while near the farm we can do something, either chopping trees, cook, arrange base, etc. then by dusk we are free to go. Yes we need to do manual harvest all the frog legs and feed it to bird to get egg, but then we also can get meat and bunny puff so we can build more rabbit hutch. But don't get me wrong kay Pepebenalua, not that I'm blindly defending the frog and bunnyman farm, was just comparing each method to gather gold nuggets 😄 thanks so much for sharing 😊👍

Very interesting farm, and nicely optimized too. I came to the conclusion that it's a little too much maintenance and space for my bases for what it provides since I rarely use froglegs when i have meat. It's still really interesting for me with the egg / gold usage.

a cool little thing mind you in spring is 12 days you can gather 4608 frog legs due to the increase of frogs spawning in game this is done by Daily frog spawn per pond: 480 seconds / 20 seconds = 24 frogs per day. Total frogs per day for 12 ponds: 24 frogs/pond * 12 ponds = 288 frogs. Total frogs in Spring: 288 frogs/day * 16 days = 4608 frogs. so make sure you have fully setup the farm in spring with walls the necessary things to stop the farm from excelling now you will wanna collect the froglegs every 5 days which will account to an new number of froglegs 3840. have Fun!
Hi Douglas 😄 the bait can be any vegetable (example : Birchnut / carrot / powdercake / glow berry / etc) And we place this bait near the ponds where the frog spawn, so the bait will keep the bunnymen stand near the frogs during the Daytime 😄
