I give my sputum to test for for TB... But they submitted report after 5 Days saying that TB is detected...... Is this test required Duration of 5days....as u clearly mentioned in bigining in the video that the result will b available in 2hours
because you are not the only patient. if there are 20 patients (simple) that means we need 10 hours to get results for all patients. so that's at least 2 days of working. without forgetting the genexper is also used for other tests not only TB. so I think 5 days is reasonable.
if false positives are an issue, the user should be contacting Cepheid for further investigation. Also I would counter that the GeneXpert does not require any high technical skill to use. The simplicity of the cartridge's system is one of the advantages.
